User ImageTenshi saw Seiko walking into the academy. He wondered if the conflict at the shore had been resolved or if she managed to escape like he did. He stood up and walked over to her, fixing the obi around his waist. "I see you managed to get away from there. The sensei just went out with two students to their clan's homestead because they were late. I'm surprised I didn't get talked to, unless mine is yet to come, and there's you... hopefully she'll go easy on you."

Seiko smiled and gave him an awkward wave as he fixed himself. She didn't like to give too much detail about what had actually happened at the beach seeing as how she didn't really stay long after he ditched her there. His little bird trick was something that interested her, but not enough that she would actually go out of her way to figure out what it was he had used before her so that she could learn it for herself. Birds weren't really her thing. The whole 'scared of heights' thing kinda screwed that up for her. One day she'd be able to get over it, but for now, nope. Ground was perfectly suitable for her.

"Heh, yeah. We can only hope. Well, if she does try to come after us in a rough way, we can always high tail it out of here."

1D20(7)+Cha(-2)=5 FAIL

The green clothed girl gave a teasing wink to the boy before her before refocusing herself on what was going on in the room. The boy in red seemed to be busy with the other kid in the room to be too much into what Seiko and Tenshi were going on about. What she really wanted at that point was something to eat. Man, if that older guy hadn't said something about food she'd probably have forgotten about the fact she hadn't eaten in a while. Now it was double trouble since the boy had just spoken about lunch. Ah...lunch....

1D20(14)+Cha(-2)=12 PASS

Seiko kept her eyes on the boy in front of her as she caught what she had done. She...winked at the kid. Strange. Oh well. She was only joking so what did it matter. The Sazanari girl had far too much to think about than boys at this point in her life. Truly if it was up to her then there would be no fraternizing at all between the two genders so that more important business could go on. What was the point of all of it anyway? To make babies? Seiko was still a kid herself, what in the world would boys be doing on that kind of a mind?

1D20(11)+Cha(-2)=9 PASS

To her it was a little bit of an awkward situation. Not between Tenshi and herself but, between her conscious mind and hormones. At her age, things were going to start kicking in and coming up at she really didn't want to think about. With only her father to tell her how and what things were doing in places, it was almost enough to turn her stomach. Unwavering emerald orbs peered at Tenshi as her mind raced with the items of puberty that were soon to come. Not only for her, but for the male population as well. Just about the time the Academy Students get out of their quiant little chairs and desks, and out from behind the walls of the Academy, they were going to be put into squads of males and females. It was going to be hell for them to learn self discipline that way.

1D20(12)+Cha(-2)=10 PASS

Seiko had heard many an instance that a male and female in a group ended up dating, falling out, and ruining the team. It just wouldn't do. Who ever it was she was put in a team with wouldn't get that kind of a chance with her. Emotions weren't something she needed for herself, but for her village. What she did, and what she said, where going to be for her village and the people within. She was a Shinobi, one of the people who were to be trained up and put out into the world to protect the loved ones of those who could not protect them on their own. It was going to be her job to be strong and protective of her people. Seiko would be damn sure to do a good job. Sincerity, just as her namesake, was what she strived for. To never lie, to never delude herself into thinking she deserved something she did not.

1D20(7)+Cha(-2)=5

Her thin delicate finger went to her hair, twirling it around in a circle as her mind continued to race about thoughts of her future as a Shinobi and protector of her people. Not only that though, what was going to become of her village with no current Kage? Where they looking for someone? If so, they'd need to hurry it up so she could have a little chat with them about how she might be able to hurry her progress through the Academy and out the front doors sooner. The young girl felt as though she was doing nothing but dragging her feet across the wooden floors of the Academy. What in the world was keeping her from graduation? The teacher. The teacher who wasn't here to hurry up her progress and get the child out the door faster than she could alone.

1D20(10)+Cha(-2)=8 PASS

Seiko could only do so much on her own and there was quite a lot that she wasn't going to be able to do without the assistance of someone. Tenshi had put himself forward to help her with a Jutsu, which was something she was going to jump at the chance to do. But after that, there was nothing. Thoughts of how much he'd be able to actually help her after learning the Jutsu from him crossed her mental road quite a bit before she threw it out and began to chew on her lower lip. It was a bad habit of her's but her father always mentioned how her mother did it when she was Seiko's age. With a sigh, the Sazanari girl threw her hair over her shoulder and looked Tenshi right in the eyes.

1D20(7)+Cha(-2)=5 FAIL

Well, she winked at him once, what else was going to go wrong here. At this point she wasn't even worried about how he was going to take her action. If he ended up thinking she was flirting with him that was his issue. She wasn't looking for anything like that. Turning her thoughts yet again to a different subject, she wondered what kind of specialist ninja she was going to be when she got out of the academy. Had to be something good or too many people would be prepared for her fighting tactics. If she wanted to protect the people in her squad she would need a couple medical Jutsu in her repertoire as well.

1D20(11)+Cha(-2)=9PASS

Putting her weight on her left leg, and her hand on her hip, she ran situations through her mind. Taijutsu would be something she wouldn't be good at in the first place, and Ninjutsu took a lot of time and stamina, not to mention work, to get her Chakra reserves anywhere near high enough to do some serious Jutsu usage. Even if she wanted to learn a few medical Jutsu, she'd need to work hard at getting some Chakra flow before she put her mind to getting any of it. Knowing that, medical ninja didn't ever have true fun and were a little too out of the battle for her pleasure. She didn't like to fight, but only being able to fix the damage that's already been dealt was not in her plans of protection.

1D20( cool +Cha(-2)=6 FAIL

She was a good hider though. As proven by the beach. Seiko was also very good at keeping herself quiet and still for long periods of time. The girl would have thought reconnaissance as her forte but realized that she wasn't going to be the type of person to go into an area and get information out of people. That was a little more in to the deep waters than she was prepared for. So close range and super far range was out of her mind for good. There was the option of long range attacks that she had toyed around with before. Thinking about it a bit more, it was something that could definitely be done by the slender bodied female

1D20(6)+Cha(-2)=4 FAIL

Yet again the girl found herself sucking in her lower lip and chewing on it just slightly. A look of curiosity and true intrigue came over her face as her green eyes drifted away from the boy before her. She hadn't done a whole lot in the time she had been placed in the Academy and needed to have that change pretty quick or there would be no way for her to graduate earlier than the rest of the teachers wished her to. Activity was her love and she loved being active. Silly way to think about it, but it wasn't the only thing she thought about. She liked to take her time as well. After all, the fury of a patient woman knows no bounds.

1D20( cool +Cha(-2)=6 FAIL

She smiled to herself, her eyes once again returning to their main palish target before her. Thinking about it, white did look better on him than most. People usually did very poorly in such colors, but Tenshi seemed very nice in it. Seiko could never see herself wearing it though. Didn't people who got married wear white? The girl had to hold off a shiver as she thought about it. She didn't plan on ever getting married so it wasn't an issue for her in the slightest. She'd be far too into assisting the future Kage protect the village.

User Image"Sounds like a plan!" He didn't plan on staying around if that woman showed up. She looked like she meant business, and even though she showed compassion towards the students, who's to say it wasn't an act. It was part of the ninja job to be discreet, distract, deceive, and discombobulate. The 4 D's that he had just come up with in his mind. He wouldn't stay longer than five seconds if she showed, but with the sensei here, hopefully it would be alright... if she was here.

Tenshi looked at Seiko. Her one eye kept closing and opening. It wasn't blinking, because it was only the one eye. Did she get something in it or is she meaning to send the signal of seducing? He raised an eyebrow at her in wonder. He shrugged it off for now. Perhaps she would continue to do it and then he would confront her about it. "Do I take this as an acceptance of my offer, or did you decide that the academy is a 'fun' place of learning?" He chuckled at the thought of the academy truly being fun. Sure he enjoyed the learning of the jutsus, but they were still a pain in his side.

1D20(12)+Cha(-2)= 10 PASS

Seiko was not exactly sure what the boy was talking about at first with his whole 'offer' talk. Did he offer to get her something before that she just could not seem to remember now? Not that she knew of. The two children had not talked for very long so it couldn't have been too terribly long ago for her not to remember it. But, for some reason, it just was not coming up in her mind about what he was speaking about. She was about to ask him what it was he had offered her when the other part of his words stuck to her. Academy? Fun? What kind of a question was that? Seiko turned her eyes across the seemingly empty room for a moment before resting her eyes on the boy once more.

1D20(13)+Cha(-2)= 11 PASS

"Slow pace isn't very fun for me. If we can kick this thing up a notch, then we'll talk about it being 'fun'."

For now, it was all she could really say about her thoughts on the Academy. It was slow pace and that just wasn't going to do it for the fast minded child standing in the room. If the teacher was there and yelling out orders for her to do, then she just possibly could see the place as exciting. A yawn came from the girl, not from boredom, but from the lack of fresh oxygen within the place. She needed to get outside soon or she'd be yawning every five minutes.

1D20(5)+Cha(-2)= 3 FAIL

Pulling one of the high placed pigtails she had on her head from behind her shoulder, she began to run her fingers through the silken strands. Feeling a little bit of a tangle, she was sure to gently comb her fingers through it until it came loose. Seiko wasn't a fan of tangles, hence the pigtails. If her hair was up and away from her face, there was less to see and worry about. She had pondered a few times how she would wear it when she was out on a mission. A bun seemed like the plan but she didn't want there to be two dumplings sticking her the sides of her head when she needed to be concentrating on something before her. Having people laugh at her hair wasn't going to be fun at all.

1D20(10)+Cha(-2)= 8 PASS

The golden brown hair she had was straight as could be. Even putting it up in the pigtails she had now didn't work every day. Strands still slipped loose and hung beside her face, framing it to an extent. The Sazanari did have to say that she liked the way it framed it though. It gave her sort of a regal look when she had such a young and childish hair style going on. But what was she focusing on her hair for when she was supposed to be speaking to the boy in front of her? Pushing her hair out of her mind and out of her hand, she focused again on Tenshi and cleared her throat a little. The girl didn't want him to think that she was just ignoring him while in her own mind after all.

1D20(1 cool +Cha(-2)=16 PASS

"So, about that offer?"

It then struck in her mind what it was he was speaking about. The whole thing where he'd be teaching her a Jutsu he knew. How could she be so dull as to have forgotten that? It was what she had come there to find him for after all. Fighting the urge to smack her palm to her forehead for such stupidity, she smiled to him and spoke yet again.

"I'm ready to learn whenever you are ready to teach. Though, don't I have to know hand seals in order to learn a Jutsu? I still don't know them very well."

First they had arrived late to class. Then were taken to see Killik-sama and now had to come back to the academy. If the reason they were in trouble was being late in the first place, then why were they made to waste more of the day? On any case, it seemed that Karasu was the first back. Did his brother go elsewhere or something? Karasu must not have been right on his tail like he had thought. Or maybe he took another path to get back?

"Sensei? Where are you..? We've wasted most of the day.. can we get started already..?"

Demanding after getting in trouble for something, wasn't he? He had burst out and said this right after pushing through the doors. Not even having worried about if she was standing in clear sight or anything. He just wanted to get his orders/curriculum so he could get started. He often preferred to be independent than work as a group.

Tenjou would enter the classroom, a little bit after Karasu. He looked around for his idiotic brother. "Oi! Where's your brother." He said glaring at him fron underneath the shadow of his hood. His silver hair creating even more distractions from his face. "I wasn't joking with what I said earlier. If I get dragged down because of him, I'll shorten his life span." He said crossing his arms.

His eyes narrowed almost instantly. He didn't know this other kid, but he wouldn't take kindly to his brother being threatened. "Don't make empty threats, especially towards my brother. And I don't know where he is.. I came straight here, thinking he would do the same." He removed his eyes from this other Kaguya with a scoff. He already had to deal with trying to keep his brother in check. Would he have to deal with someone that overestimated their own strength as well. "Do you think that Killik-sama would let that slide? Having a someone that would bring more shame to the Kaguya? That's the point of having kinsman watch over Katsuro." He looked back at him with a look of mixed feelings. Not completely threatening, but in no way soft.

Seiko's attention was captured from Tenshi as a pair of new boys came into the area talking very loudly about killing someone's brother. The kid in question was adorning the same light hair as Tenshi. Either way, that guy wasn't very nice. She put down the urge to walk up to tell the guy to calm down or sit out as the boy who's brother he was threatening took up for himself. She smiled, glad that at least someone would be able to handle himself without the protection of someone else. As for the one who was making the threats, Seiko would need to be weary of his accompaniment in any future dealings.

The chances that the boys would have any further contact with her was slim, but still there. They were after all in the Academy together waiting on the teacher. They'd be having at least a few days together in that retrospect. She sighed, turning her head towards Tenshi whom she had momentarily ignored.

"Seems some people don't know what lowering their voice is. A little rude don't you think?"

Seiko smiled to Tenshi as she spoke loud enough for the other two boys to hear. Perhaps a girl's opinion of their noisy encounter would shut them up for a bit. Not that they were actually yelling, but the fact they were having that little disagreement where the kids already in the room could hear was a little louder than needed. Whispers would have done the job though. Casting her emerald eyes to the two speakers, she offered a little smile to let them at least she that she wasn't attempting to be truly rude to them.

Tenjou smirked at the remark coming from his Kinsman. "I don't like having to watch over some one, especially seeing as they should know better. If he wants to be rebellious thats his choice but to have no reguards to what his action could cost other let alone his own brother. Well, you of all people should know seeing as your the level headed one. Either way, you may be used to it but its something I plan on nipping at the bud." He said taking the stare of his Kinsman with at the same level as it was dealt.

It would be the sound of girls voice that lead him to look away. Apparantly their conversation was distracting to a few. Well one so far. He looked to Katsura. "Will discuss this another time." He said putting feelings aside. "We have training to do, and besides I doubt Killik-sama or Bumu-sama wants us to be fighting out side of sparing." He said holding out his hand. "Forgive me if I insulted you but you should realize not every one is tolerant of your brothers attitude on things. Call it bye gones?"

User Image"You are correct in saying you must master the handseals before any jutsu can be performed. If you get that down then perhaps the sensei will go easy on you... now where's that book..." He went looking for the book that he had used. He heard the creative discussion the two were having across the room and froze where he stood when Seiko spoke up to them. She had to draw attention to herself. He didn't need one of them to come over and attempt to pummel them. He grabbed the book and walked back over to her.

He placed the book in her hand, "Start forming the handseals. Once those are complete we can practice molding your chakra until the teacher comes back." He didn't really need to explain much else, for everything was written down in the pages. All that he had to do was wait for his next assignment and until then he would twiddle his thumbs or help Seiko out with the book. There wasn't much else for him to do.

"Nah, he's good. Me and my bro absolutely love it when people hop on their high horses and act like top dog. From the looks of it, you haven't been here much longer than we have."

The soft footsteps went unnoticed until the boy was already standing on the other side of the door that the two other Kaguya had just entered through. He pushed the door open and walked back into the Academy, his hands clasped behind his head in a relaxed pose, eyes closed and calm. Katsuro now adorned loose black boot-cut jeans, a black cotton t-shirt, and above it a white leather jacket which was surrounded in clear saran wrap, for obvious reasons. His cap was gone, showing the boy's medium length white hair, still semi-wet from the shower he'd just taken. Even still, some of the darker marks were somewhat visible, reminders of his earlier transgression against his teacher. The boy walked through the door, past Karasu and the other Kaguya, stopping and turning around once he was standing in an exact triangle formation with the two. It was now that the boy opened his eyes to stare back at the other boy.

"You come off as some kind of hot-shot, you know? I don't know exactly how old you are, but it seems like since you don't know much more than we do about being shinobi, that puts us ahead of you, if not at least at the same rank, being that we're at the same place you are, but far younger. Now, I bet we all love sensei's idea of you being some kind of babysitter, but I think this will be one of those situations where you step off and we just say you watched us instead."

Katsuro already had no sense of kinship for any of his clan, the exception being his brother, but despite the kid's foul attitude, the boy was able to move on and get back to enjoying his first day at the Academy, or at least what was left of the day. Looking around, he didn't see his instructor anywhere, and assumed that he'd gotten lucky and somehow gotten back to the Academy before she had. Now he turned to his brother.

"Hey, Karasu. Sorry I'm late, I had to get all that ink off me before I was gonna come back here, I looked like I got attacked by an octopus, haha. You seen sensei around here anywhere?"

[Boar]
1d20(12) + int mod(1)=13 PASS

Seiko nodded as Tenshi returned to her side with a book on handseals. They were something that interested her imensely. She'd seen and heard about them but never really paid enough attention to truly understand what it was they were about. Opening the book she began to look upon her first challenge in the twelve part system of basic Shinobi Knowledge. Boar. Simple, yet a bit tricky seeing as how you had to flip your hands outwards in order to form it. The young girl walked over to the nearest table and placed the book down upon the surface so she could have two hands free to practice. Green orbs turned southwards as her small hands were held up before her budding chest, attempting to be put together like cat paws and then flipped outwards and down so that they formed the seal on the paper. She checked it once just to be sure that it was correct in every way before nodding to herself in acceptance of it.

[Dog]
1d20(16) + int mod(1)=17 PASS

Dog was next. Another easy one in her book. Literally. The book before her showed a simple hand over hand motion for it and she copied it fluently. Sadly, she copied it opposite the way she was supposed to do it and nearly missed that fact and went on. After looking at her hands and then to the paper for the second time, she caught her mistake and formed it the correct way. Curling her fingers into a sort of loose fist with her right hand, she placed her left hand, fingers extended outwards, in an angle over top if it. When she was satisfied with the fact she had corrected her original mistake, the girl moved on to her next task. Flipping the pages a few times to see how many more she had to do and the complexity of each one, she returned to the page she was to work on next.

[Hare]
1d20(15) + int mod(1)=16 PASS

The Sazanari girl picked up the book she had placed upon the table and walked over to the nearest wall and placed her back upon it. She then proceeded to slide down, her shirt lifting up in the back a little due to the friction the wall caused. Her eyes were glued to the paper reading material within her fingers all the while. Hare seemed a little odd in her opinion. Who would be able to stick their pinkie out in that weird way and kind of meld it into a point towards something with their other hand? Even thinking about the way she was wording it didn't sound correct. Doing it in the outside world was only a tad more simple than she would have thought it would be. Annoying, but simple none the less.

[Monkey]
1d20(11) + int mod(1)=12 PASS

Finishing up with her annoyance of how the Hare looked, Seiko turned the page and saw the most simple hand seal she'd come across so far. Did people really need to practice these things all the time? It seemed that all of them were so simple a child could do them. She was living proof. Nothing more than a preteen and these things were easy as pie! Speaking of, pie sounded delicious at that particular moment. Shaking her head to clear her mind of food, the girl's pigtails danced around her head like ribbons on a dress. Laying her hand out before her, palm up, she placed her other hand upon it facing downwards. The only real thing she had a problem doing was being sure to lace her top hands pinkie finger down below the opposite hand's thumb.

The little frail looking female in the room yawned, lifting her hand to her lips so she could cover the rather unappealing action. Again, the child knew she'd have to leave sometime soon or risk the chance of becoming so yawned-out that she'd fall asleep. What was next anyway? Oh, that was right. Ox. She'd turned the page with her opposite hand while she yawned so that she could continue on with her training when she finished it. The Ox was easy enough as it was. It wasn't as simple as the one before, but still, it wasn't going to be difficult to finish it up and continue on without trouble. Clasping her fingers together, she pulled one of her arms up so that it was horizontal to the ground and lifted up the opposite hand's pinkie and pointer finger upwards while the horizontal hand's fingers stood out straight.

Flipping the page over, she came across a hand seal that might actually give her a little run for her money. A smile came to her face as she beheld the feat before her. Horse. She had thin fingers so the interlacing of knuckles wouldn't be that hard to accomplish, but getting it that way quickly was going to be her main problem. She was able to go through the basics of the hand seal just fine, but when she tried to go a little quicker, she found herself unable to lace her knuckles in the correct manner. Her brows furrowed slightly, creating a little wrinkle between them, as she looked at the picture for a moment more. She was aware it was going to be a little troublesome but the fact her speed was what was causing her the problem was a tad irritating.

The female prided herself on her ability to stay calm in troubling situations and was going to keep to that in order to get what she wished. Giving herself a deep breath, she calmed down her slight irritation towards the hand seal and opened her eyes again only when she felt she was decent enough to continue. When her eyes reopened she quickly went through the seal again to find that it was a lot easier to do when she was calmer and not in a rush to head straight through it. With a little smile on her lips, she turned the page to see her next task.

Ram. The way the hands and fingers were shown seemed to be decent in the difficulty scale. Not too much of a hassle, but not too easy that she'd get tired having to do it over and over again. Lifting both of her hand's pointer and middle fingers upwards, she clasped inwards the left over fingers on both. Putting the two hands together, the two clasped fingers on her left hand opened and engulfed the opposite hands opening. As she had thought, easy.

Lifting the page and slipping it over with one hand, the girl let her free arm fall to her side and caress the water-skin at her side. It was tied with a small rope to her belt. Both water-skin and rope were brown in color, the rope being only slightly darker than the other item. She and her father had found that her affinity was to water, same as his when he was still in the line of Shinobi duty. He offered her the small water source to practice her control and ability to use Ninjutsu to move and play with it. Or drink it if she was thirsty. Either way it worked for him in the years he was a Shinobi as an emergency source of water when he was on missions out of the village.

Leaning her head backwards against the wall, she looked up at the ceiling as she thought about her father being the same element affinity as she. Perhaps he could help her with her ability to control it sometime. Then again, he'd probably refuse. Her father wasn't usually in the mood to do anything other than dillydally with his little hobbies since her mother and brother had passed. The thought caused the girl to cringe for a moment before clearing her face. She didn't like to think of that. Yet when she was left alone with her thoughts, it was all that ever showed up. Seiko wanted to protect the rest of the village from the torment she lived through everyday with the sour memories of the day over half of her family was killed. At least her father was still with her. In some sort of sense. He wasn't the man he used to be, that was for sure.

[Dragon]

The man had changed. No more did he take his little girl out fishing or to see the sea they both loved. No more did he sit and talk for hours about the missions he had been on and the people he had befriended along the way. And the most hurtful of all, he no longer spoke of how he had met her mother all those years ago. Seiko missed the tales the older man used to speak of. Now all he did was sit around and make little knickknacks to sell to at least keep their family afloat. Her aunt still lived with them, though. Her own husband having been taken along with Seiko's immediate family. The older woman cleaned and cooked every day as the makeshift mother of their broken family. The woman barely spoke though. Even less than Seiko's father. Never even asked how Seiko's day was when she came home.

Seiko mindlessly went through the Bird hand seal as her memories of the past kept trudging up. When she arrived home, she always announced herself, the older woman would give a faint smile as she finished preparing tea for Seiko's father and nodded her head to greet the girl. No 'welcome home' or 'how was your day'. Not even a 'nice to see you' or 'Hi.' It made Seiko just a little sad to see how the woman became nothing more than a shell of the person she once was. The laughing woman who used to give Seiko the most silliest of hair styles every morning just to see the child's face.

Clearing her mind with a light smack against her cheek, Seiko continued on with what she was doing. She needed to finish up the hand seals so she could learn that Jutsu from Tenshi. Her eyes turned upwards to where she had left him for only a split moment before focusing on the book in front of her. A tiny hand lifted up the side of the page and turned it over so her eyes came to land upon the Dragon hand seal. It was another finger-lace one. The corners of the child's mouth turned downwards by just a centimeter, and only for a split second before she reaffirmed her calm assertive mind and went on to try it. Amazingly it went smoothly and she had no problems with getting it out of the way so that she could go on with her next set of seals. How many were left anyway?

The girl flipped the page once, and then again, finding that she only actually had three more to go in order to continue on with the training with Tenshi. Smiling at the fact she was almost finished, she turned back to the correct page and took a good look at the next hand seal she was going to do.Yet again, interlacing her fingers in a quick manner was going to be the problem she'd need to go through. As long as she could make herself happy with the speed at which she did it, it was all good. Only problem was that she was hard to impress with simple feats. Being fast meant that you had to be exceptionally quick at it and not just 'good enough'.

With a determined mind set, the girl began to practice getting her fingers to entwine with each other, slowly at first. As each time she attempted the hand seal, she began to pick up the speed. A smile pulled at her lips edges as she found herself going at an incredible pace for herself, and only when she found she couldn't go any faster, did she finally become satisfied and stop. With a content sigh, her eyes lifted up to see another boy come into the room. Yet again another one who wanted to pull the attention away from what people were doing and centering it upon himself. Such childish mindsets these boys had. When she became a Genin, she hoped that she wouldn't be paired with one of them. Or worse, two of them.

[Tiger]

Seiko turned another page, the next to last and gazed upon one of the last seals she was going to be learning. Her excitement was nearly tangible as her eyes scoured the page before her. The seal was one of the ones she'd seen other people using before. Actually, the Sazanari child had seen her very own father use it when she had shown her one of the Suiton Jutsu a few years back. If this was going to be one of the hand seals for those, then she'd need to learn it very well so that she was able to complete it without flaw. Getting those down would be what made the difference between two people of equal ability and skill. Speed was a factor most knew about, but never took into account when the battle began.
