eek Yowsa, that's a lot! I didn't realize that the stories you were working on were so inter-related. Mine tend to vary wildly in setting, apart from the fantasy trilogy. Though there are common elements to each, after a fashion. Anyway, here's an overview of the major ones I'm working on. (Without getting too in-depth and ruining surprises. wink )

IX of Swords: The story of a man trying to come to terms with the truth of what happened at one crucial moment in his past, while his reality crumbles around him. Though the process may cost him his sanity, or even his life.

You Can't Take it With You: This is the one I was writing for the contest. In short, it's about a man who dies before his time, and finds that the afterlife is a far different place than what he was always led to believe.

Ironblood: High fantasy set in a world on the cusp of an industrial revolution. But when mankind's thirst for wealth and progress unearths a danger the likes of which has never been witnessed by moral eyes, even the utmost of human technology and diligence may not be enough to turn the impending tide of destruction.

The Price of Solace: Sequel to Ironblood. The true nature and scope of the threat is revealed, as the cataclysmic chain reaction sparked in the first book barrels forward, as one man is blackmailed into trying to save the known world in a race against time. Myths become realities as things of dream and nightmare roam the land.

Grim Contingency: (Title subject to change.) In this final story arc of "The Trials of Avarice" fantasy trilogy finds the nations of men on the verge of war, as bitter, age-old rivals tear at each others' wounds in the aftermath of the events in the previous books. But could a far worse danger be lurking in the background, waiting until infighting has wiped out any effective resistance before it strikes?

A bit vague, I know. But as I said, I don't want to give away any of the "meat" of the stories. wink

I know what you mean. But for my Payback series? You'd need to read the prequels LAST. Otherwise, it would spoil a plot twist in the main Payback story.

And that's not even all of the ones I have written. I have a few Alternity time line stories. {Alter-nate Eter-nity. Don't know where I got Eternity instead of Reality, but ...} In the main Alternity stories, the world is SAVED instead of destroyed. Saved by the same guy who colonized the other planet, nonetheless. But since he set off a worldwide EMP, they go back to before electricity and stuff was around.

Ah, I doubt I'm going to try my hand at a prequel anytime soon. I've always kinda liked it better when things go in order; certainly makes them easier to work with most times. whee

I wish you the best of luck with what sounds like a vast and detailed universe...er, make that multiverse, as you've got that whole alternate eternity/reality thing as well. 3nodding

Suicide Girl, it sounds like. {Well, that's what I first thought of that when I saw the original post.}

Those chicks are (mostly) hot as hell.
Sammm, chunky - Looks good.
Chunky?

But yeah, I was hoping that it would inspire someone else to make a better banner.

This Cambells soup commercial came on, as I was typing out "Sammirah."
I'm very bored today.

Well, the main story was written for a school assignment. And then since I was using the characters who survived in other stories, I felt I needed to flesh them out, to show WHY they feel the way they do and everything. And the thing is?

By the time I finish the prequels there will be 17 of them. And they will ALL intertwine with at least one of the others. And maybe more. {17 because there are 16 kids, the Enemy, and the Teachers. The Enemy and the Teachers have "solo" stories. Solo in quotes because there are 5 teachers sharing the one story. And two of the kids are brother and sister and so share a story as well.}

Yeah. My stories are all part of one big universe/multiverse. And the Alternity stories, because there is a series of them, have another tie-in to the main universe.

In both universes, we have gemstones that control a certain "element" of nature. They both come from the same planet. However, in the REAL universe, the planet they come from is saved by descendants of the New Earth colonists. So, since there ARE no New Earth colonists in Alternity, the planet is destroyed and a meteor crashes into Earth. And the meteor contains one of each of 12 birthstones/gemstones.
