Wait, don't go! Uh... ::Nyx paused.:: If...you need a cane, I can get you one. Just hold on.
::She sat down the bottle and drew in a deep breath. There was a long moment of silence before a cane clattered down onto the bartop from nowhere.::
:3 There we go...
::...And Nyx fainted, dropping to the floor with a thud. She faded out before either of them could move to even look behind the bar.::

*Bard looks over at Nyx with alarm... he hobbles over with Maggie's help, but by the time they reach her, she's gone. Moments later, the cane disappears as welll*
Poor dear. Hope she's all right...

*Maggie nods in agreement, looking over to where the cane was* 'Twas good of her to try. . . . . I daresay ye'd best get the one the doctor gave te ye. I doubt I could manage te bring one in myself, and e'en if I could, it likely wouldna stay long . . . *it occurs to her that they're alone again, as she helps him back towards the door, and the thought causes her to halt for a moment . . . but then she continues, not really knowing what she wants to say*

*As they reach the door, Bard selects his key from the board. He lets go of Maggie and turns to face her. He laughs*
It's funny, isn't it? We were only in my time a few hours, but it feels like I've been with you for weeks.
*he leans in and kisses her gently on the lips*
I'll see you soon.
*he slips the key in the lock, opens the door, and disappears*

*Maggie just stands there for a moment, overwhelmed . . . but then smiles slowly, and says after him quietly* Goodnight . . .
*and then she reaches for her own key and heads off down the hall to the guest rooms to get some rest*

*Luke snatches his key with a 'clink' off the rack.*
*He turns around and he sees Cora. He blinks, momentarily surprised... But as said, he's got one purprose.*
*Though he makes eye contact, he doesn't say one word. Luke looks away. He storms forward key in hand, intent on reaching the door.*

:::Cora ran up to Luke before he reached the door. She reached out and pulled the inside of his arm where his elbow was bent. She stops at his side and looks up at him uncertain:::

*Luke looks at her. The hurt doesn't even show, just the anger at hearing Cora voice such a comment.*
*His voice raises, hastens.*
What can I do? *says incredulously* I can do more than just sit around here, waiting for that ******** to get bored again. That's what I can do.

:::She was too angry at Luke for wanting to leave, and too angry at herself for talking the way she had, to cry. But she shivered:::

*Luke reacted, physically, with a small jolt backward, as if from some invisible electric shock.*
*He wasn't sure what he felt more shocked over. Cora's retort, or the fact that Cora had so naturally used a curse word.*
*And he was affected. Very hurt. He'd never seen Cora like this...He still reacts like he always does.*
YOU THINK THIS IS EASY FOR ME?! You think I haven't thought about it?! What it means if I go? What it means if I stay here?! I'm ******** if I do, ******** if I don't, Cora.
I can take care of myself. *He pointing to the door.* But I can't take care of them, not in HERE.
