ANd i need tips on how to get to a doctor to get tested for HIV. What about costs to get te test done, everything like that makes me stress out about getting the test done, and makes me not want to go.
How do I go about getting it done?
Well there's a couple ways to find a place to get tested, you could go to a Planned Parenthood and ask for a test, it's totally confidential and when they call you with the results, you can just have them use a made up name like " Hi this is Sue from school or work, can you have Asthmaboy (your name obviously) call me back?" They're very confidential OR you can go find out the results by yourself or take a friend you trust for support.
Another way is to go to your doctor and just have a routine checkup and ask to have blood taken and very simply outright ask for an HIV/AIDS test, because of doctor/patient confidentiality they won't disclose the results to anyone, even mom and dad, only you, PLUS most if not all I would think would be understanding and be glad you were taking care of your health.
Also, if you don't have a local PLanned Parenthood or family doctor, any hospital or clinic will test you for a usually minimal price
