Meh, I used to enjoy cons but now I don't really care to go to them. You either have to go with friends or cosplay, or else it'd be really lonely and boring. I don't cosplay and all my friends were hanging out together and not with me, so... yeah.

Er... not really? At least you're dressing up, and that lets people come up to you and talk to you or take a picture.
Omg Taemin, I'm doing it again. I'm so sorry! crying At least ... it's done well? lol

I don't agree at all. I always pre-register and pick up my badge the day before the con, and I never cosplay for that even though a lot of people do. I'm usually alone and out of costume, but I've NEVER had trouble finding people to talk to. I've had random people in line strike up a conversation completely out of the blue and I still talk to some of them on forums and facebook and such. As much as I love to attend with friends, I prefer being able to spend time alone because I find it too hard to do the things I want and meet new people when I'm surrounded by friends I already have. If you go to a con assuming you'll have a bad time because you're alone and not in costume, then you will have a bad time.

I should have mentioned that this was my experience with the cons I went to. Everyone has their little group of friends that they hang out with the entire weekend. Walk up to a group that's on the floor chatting and they'll look at you like "wtf do you want", or try to talk to other lonely looking people and they're like "whatever".
So it might depend on where the con is and maybe the age, idk. gonk
Komet, I know I know. I almost feel kind of bad... XD It was just too tempting.

Well, that's probably very true. I've heard that people at American cons are far less friendly and accepting as the people at Canadian ones. But since I've yet to attend an American con I can't make the comparison for myself. All the cons I've attended are in BC. whee

I don't know. I mean, we're all huge nerds gathered there for the same reason. You are not special and I'm not judging you, no need for the b***h face. You could at least smile and wave when I greet you. ugh I don't get it. Whatever. XD
