Hey Pasta ...watching him play through the last mission of Halo: Reach made me cry really hard. I knew it was going to be sad, but jeez, that was awful.
The Danish Days thing in Solvang was really cute, though. Mmmmm danish days! heart What was that about? Kilana: I'm with you there. I bought my June 04 letters for 3k because the bear pjs that came out the month before did so poorly that the letters for June weren't selling. xd Too bad I sold my other June 04 and opened the horns one. Did get the Angelic Pendant from a friend though. (: One day I'll get back my June 04 but ehhhh. I don't think I'd sell it either, it's just nice to have the set. Wish I bought another June 04 at 2k buuut....I didn't think I'd need it. Arg. After horns came out they were around 8k or something. *sigh* Good times. Remember when Pink Giftboxes were so rare and expensive? Plus all the nitemare stuff that was just as expensive. Then they devalued them. Wasn't it something to do with not being able to sell them in the shops or something? Or selling them there. I don't remember. Ah well. I got my NH HB for free from a friend, too. Man, I have a lot of great friends. XD; Then again I never sell anything my friends give me so that's good. 20k was a lot. I think "polling" and "posting a lot" were common answers given to people who asked how to get more gold. Haha.

So while at the market getting some food for the week, I decided to pick up a small box of Tampons for my lady friends at school should they ever need some. I post that on facebook, and half of the remarks say it's awkward, while the others praise me for being a good friend. Where's the logic of it being awkward? I don't see it.

So you're just gonna carry around tampons in case somebody winds up "stranded"? Does sound kinda weird. You could just give them a quarter to buy one from the vending machine in the bathroom.

I think they'd just ask any other girls they see - I've been asked by girls I don't even know but just happen to be in the restroom at the same time I am.
Sevi - I believe the Danish Days thing was supposed to be sort of like a Renaissance faire but smaller and celebrating Danish history. They had foods, booths, lots of people in traditional style clothing and a lot of old traditional dances...I didn't see a whole lot of it 'cause we got there late and mostly hung out in the museum talking to my boy's family's friends who were hanging out making lace. It was the first time I'd seen Solvang during the day, though, so it was really neat. =) There were a lot of cute little shops and bakeries.

Up for ten minutes and already got downvoted? Wonder if it's the other girl who did Saya this week. I at least gave her a three - which is all she gets for using white socks and that hairstyle. Wish I had the mil to drop on the magical mender bow, though...
Now I know I'm gonna get 100 "Someone else did this, this week!" comments. Even though there are, like, five total Saya's when you do a search (And one of those is for Blood: TLV). -_-
Edit: And OMG. The girl who won last week's original did the moth, too. I'm feeling thematically stagnant, now.
Edit Edit: Oh Gooooooooooood. And a Saya placed 9th for cosplay last week. I'm going to get flamed to hell, even though there is no way I could've known, seeing as how the results go up at the same time as the next week's entries. I still like mine best. *sniffs*

Now I'm just bummed to all hell. I thought about my description all week and kept my avatar a secret until the last second. Even stayed up late to submit it so nobody could steal. And now I'm getting nothing but ones because, by some fluke, a Saya placed in the one week I could not have even known about. Dammit, I want to scream. I did a Saya two years ago, but now I'm going to be the "copycat." rolleyes
People who rate on 'originality" in the cosplay arena really piss me off. How is a cosplay even supposed to be original? Unless it's a blatant rip-off of somebody else's attempt, nobody is any more of a copier than anyone else! I admit I groan whenever I see a Naruto/Bleach/FF character, but some people really take things too far.

I still don't understand how it's weird though. And our school doesn't have vending machines full of tampons in the bathrooms; which is weird because we have unisex toilets. Thanks Sevi, that's what my friend Benny said, "Nice of you Thomas to do that but really awkward. But, that's just how you are, a great friend to girls. (:" Even though I'm bisexual, I've been set on gay mode since the spring, so I figured this would be a natural thing to do. And besides, one of my close friends that I've been helping out of her social awkwardness and emotional problems, mentioned she was on her cycle, so I thought this would be the best thing to do.

I actually went to delete my entry because I didn't want to deal with the crap and I have an even better idea for when people forget a Saya ever placed, only to find that I actually have a ranking. Now I'm conflicted. If my first 5 votes were 1's, and I'm ranked at all, is that good? neutral

Generally, other people's personal hygiene is none of your business. Here's what a casual observer would probably think of you: The fact that you're preparing for your friends to forget their period and all of a sudden needing a tampon and not being capable of dropping by a shop to buy some goes to show that you think about the lady parts of your friends quite a lot and that you think they'd be - what? - to forgetful to keep their personal hygiene in check? Too dumb to find a supermarket? Incapable of taking care of themselves? If someone didn't know they'd get all the wrong ideas out of this. Now I - and your friends as well I assume - know you're a grade A dork when it comes to social stuff, so I know you didn't mean anything bad with it. Just the way your mind works. I'm sure everyone has odd thoughts all the time - I know I have! - but most folks wouldn't go ahead and actually buy tampons for their friends.

Um, so I know you're not supposed to "namedrop" or whatever, but this is hardly a BAD thing, so I'm posting a screenie anyways. Seriously made my day. It's Saya's own personal stalker. rofl

Bleh. I know I shouldn't complain about going back to school since my summer ended later than most, but having to commute this year is making me really not want to go. At least the earliest I have to be there is 11... and the classes themselves should be fun. Abnormal Psych and Criminology, oh baby.
And man, I barely drew anything over the summer. Way to take advantage of having nothing but free time, me.

I wouldn't be creeped out by a male friend who had tampons on hand, but I would be surprised (and I wouldn't be likely to ask him for them, or even mention that I was having SURPRISE PERIOD PARTY! to him).
Anyway, the type of feminine hygiene products you get out of the vending machines in bathrooms suck. So anyone who's got the real thing is already an improvement over having to use those.
If you bought them for a specific person, because she specifically needed them, that isn't awkward, it's sweet. If you bought them to be a walking drugstore in case someone should need one in the future, it's not creepy, but it's unusual and possibly unhelpful, unless you make it known that you've got them.

Yeah. So, ya know, write something like "free tampons" on your forehead. xp So I had the misfortune of being one of the first four people picked to have their stuff workshopped by the whole class. Which is probably why I've been spazzing over stupid s**t, because my nerves are already like... something. I dunno. And now I am looking at a finished poem... about a stuffed animal. I'm pretty much going to die, tomorrow. gonk

Aldo: lol Yes I am an extreme dork, but I also break a lot of social taboos. I don't care what other people thing about me, just that I care about my friends. I'd go out of my way to help anyone of them, I have a supporting personality. My campus is actually pretty transitioned into being completely unisex, locker rooms still segregated, bathrooms in the older buildings still male/female, all renovated and new buildings have unisex bathrooms. But yeah my brain is ******** up, I don't see certain points of view anymore. But yeah, I'm one of the few that would buy tampons for my friends, also most of my friends are female so yeah I guess thats part of the reason why I don't think it's a big deal.
Kerm: I've been around my friends long enough that I have a pretty good understanding when their cycle starts. If that's bad or good I don't know. It was more of the former, my friend who I'll remain nameless had mentioned that she was on her cycle and that she needed some so I picked up a box. What I didn't find out until later today, is that her mom forbids feminine products. Yet my friend believes in them, so she was internally grateful. But the latter also came into play as well because some on my friends are absent-minded ditsy, they can't help it but it happens. I actually might have one of my friends make up a button saying "Supplier of Tampons, Free" and wear it; now that you and Pyre mention it.
But yeah, I had two friend get some tampons off of me today because they needed some.
