Nowadays it is hard it seems to me to win any Avi Contest. It seems noone cares anymore for actual though and layering put into avis only how pricey the items used are.
And often even over all of that it is hard to appeal to peoples likes and dislikes sometimes as well. 3nodding

You're so right that different people have different likes and dislikes. I wasn't liking my avi all that much and then *drum roll* I found the ghost skin in the treehouse shop. I improves my avi almost to my liking.
I think people may not appreciate your avis as much as they could. You're so familiar with games and anime and manga. And unfortunately I am so UNfamiliar with those. So when you tell me about your avis I appreciate them much much more because then I understand.

Most of the anime and such are some of my fondest memories when I was younger when some many good cartoons and stuff came on normal T.V.
And of course mid-way in my childhood threw my teen years getting introduced to anime by some of my friends and find out what animes I liked and though of how much work has to go into them to make them look so awesome.
Thx, Harvey I know you appriciate my avis and seeing them often as well as Kin does to.

ROFL at the smile. Wow I didn't know the grass background could do that. Yes I do appreciate your avis. I never know what you'll come up with.
I feel like I missed a lot of cartoons and games. My family started a business from scratch. My brother and I worked in the business from the time we were young. So it's a good thing you're catching me up on stuff.

3nodding Running a family bussiness is I hear very hard work.
I will try my best to enlighten you on what cartoons you missed. ^8^
Thx, again Harvey.
I only just found out it does the green box thing when you put the Wonderland item and the Grassy-Field item together the other day when I was throwing random items together to see what looks good. ^8^
Sort of a werid surprise when it did it to because it only showed-up after I saved the avi. ^8^

Definitely, starting a new family business takes lots of work. At the beginning my grandma helped out too.
It's great that you experiment with random stuff. The green box is an especially fun discovery. Gaia may not know about it. And they don't need to know either. lol
Lately I'm very interested in backgrounds. What's making the sky and moon for your current frog-lotus-lily pad avi?
I'm so happy with my Nartian Rock sky stars. It took long enough to find out what makes the stars. lol The stars pose is buried among so many poses.

Channel surfing can land you in the most unexpected channels. That's how I ended up watching one of the most amazing movies ever. Across the Universe

3nodding It is a good movie, a bit trippy and a little dark every now and again but they did get two people that look and sound amazingly like Janis Joplin and Jimmy Hendrix.
And they sing together several times in the movie.
The item was Kelp-O-The-Lock, and it is one of the bacrounds labeled "The lock at night".

Thanks for the photo. Yup those two look a whole lot like Joplin and Hendrix. It's the hair. And they do a great job with the music. I wonder, did the real Joplin and Hendrix ever sing together? *runs to youtube*
Nope, nothing together. There are a couple titles that seem to say they're together but they're not.
Ah Loch o' the lake. That's it. Thanks.
You're my "go to" guy for avi items. Maybe you know this one. It's old. I haven't seen it used for at least a year. It's a watery swampy foreground with mist and a few clumps of grass or some kind of not very tall plant sticking up in it. I looked on tektek and didn't find it. No big deal if you don't know.

Hmmm, I seem to remember that one perhaps its this one item.
Reve Rouille, the backround "The Offer" it is kinda a swampy backround with what looks like Cat-tails in it and wisps of foggy stuff.
Wish they had sung together it prob. would have been very awesome.
I believe they definately would have heard of each other being in the music bussiness around close to the same years though not exactly the same years.
Sadlly they both died of OD-ing on drugs I think if I remember right, and both relativly young to. crying

YES!! Reve Rouille. That's it!! *jumps up and down in excitement* Thanks buddy.
Janice Joplin and Jimmy Hendrix both performed at the original Woodstock. I don't know if they performed on the same day, or if they performed in a large group together. I'll have to watch the movie again to find out. That's something I'd really enjoy anyway. Perfect excuse. lol Have you seen "Woodstock" the movie? I kinda relate to the hippies. Except I like to bathe. Often.
