Truinthil Overall it was a great movie, but yes, the innaccuracies and the way various characters were put down with such ease irked me to no end. And Rogue is supposed to be a bit older than that, her mom is supposed to be mystique. She used to be a criminal mutant before losing her memory after absorbing so much of another mutant that she permanently gained her powers of super strength and flight. And where was gambit?!??! GAMBIT?!?! The Beast was good, though only seen several times. And Scott? I don recall him dying in the original series. Maybe I missed that. And that chick that Wolverine fought in the second movie? That was supposed to be his one-time lover turned arch-nemesis from years before the whole thing started. At least I think I remember something like that. And nightcrawler wasnt in the third one? Not even in the last battle! Why the hell not?!!? and and and and and and....sigh... That mutant who's powers Rogue absorbed were that of M. She was the super powered flying one. : 3 I have her marvel card. Quite nice.

You know how usually a sequal isn't better than the first movie...?
Well, the first X-Men movie pretty much blew, but that's more because the entire series is raped in more ways than the material that forms the english language. Of course, they can't even keep a single storyline, and thusly change the origins and character base every few years in the comics. The only real thing that sticks is their emo 2-dimentional personalities.
As far as the movie goes, I'm fairly sure they all get their powers back. One of my dumbass obsessive friends mentioned something about it being a supressant and not actually a cure. Would explain Magneto, though he is of course one of those 'special' people.
For God's sake, let people stay dead. It's like the writers are scared they'll lose business if people stay dead. Hell, even the Harry Potter series has enough balls to leave characters dead for good, excluding bad guys who obviously usually end up dying anyhow.
Bet ya anything Scott will be back, and I bet if he isn't, it'll be something gay and unrelated to the actual plot, such as the actor being all emo.
God I hate the X movies, they're so lame.
Give me Ironman.

In any case, what was completely uncalled for? I was merely testing my boundries, wanted to know where I stood on things. ^___^ Can't blame one for being curious.
