Teeshann good morning all. it is 1 am here and i am up with a sick child. threw up all over his bed. even got it all over the wall by his headboard. now just waiting for him to zonk back out but man am i tired. On the headboard and wall, that's an extra 25 points. xd I should not joke, but it is a running gag from my youth and an ounce of levity is always nice.

I hope he feels better. Being sick is no fun. And just a few more days and I head to Colorado Springs for 2 weeks. We have to be at the airport for 4am on Saturday.

Sick kids. I remember that. The clean-up, having them lined up on the bench for meds, the O-dark-thirty pains/nausea/fever/freak-out, the whining in stereo sound... But now they take care of me when I'm sick. Good luck, kid. Here, have a cup of coffee and some of what little patience I had left over that was stored up specifically for those occasions.

If it hits the headboard and the wall plus the can across the room all at once then it's worth an extra 250 points Exxos. Good luck, I hope that your son gets to feeling better soon. smile

Yes. Projectile vomiting at it's best. Don't forget the window. I never could figure that one out.

There are few benefits to being sterile, but I think the lack of child vomit all over the house would be one of them.

Sorry I've been AWOL for a couple of days. The last two weeks were extremely busy - here too but especially in real life. I just needed to step back and catch up with a few things. One of which was I had book club last night and didn't even start the book until Sunday night. I was dealing with my son's 11th birthday, my hubby's 40th birthday (we had 20 people over at the house). And my mom was visiting from Michigan. She just sold her house there and I've been helping her house hunt here. We were successful and now I'm dealing with all the stuff that needs to be taken care of here (such as the inspection) while she works on getting her stuff in Michigan all ready to move.
I also has some not so fun parenting issues when my son received (in an email from one of his classmates at school) a link to a porn site. That was bad enough but then my son thought it would be cool to forward it on to a couple of his other friends. I only became aware of the issue when I was called by one of the moms. Ugh! I know that back when I was a kid these kinds of things were not made so much worse by the internet. A couple of boys might find a dirty magazine and try to hide it from their parents. These days it's much too easy to find and to spread around bad stuff with a simple click of the mouse. And believe me when I say I'm not the kind of mom that lets him do whatever he want's! We don't let them have a computer in their rooms, they have limited time per day to use all forms of electronics, I don't let him chat or join any online groups. We've had many discussions about avoiding bad sites and online predators. It's a rude awakening when you think you have done everything right and it turns out that no - you haven't.

Yes. Children are such a joy, aren't they. But, I'll tell ya - no matter how hard you try to make it right for them, they'll pull something else (or something else will happen). Whether intentional or not. Don't worry, though. You - and they - may survive their childhood. I found that in spite of all that, it was quite worth it. XD

Way to go Camwen on the parenting thing. I use to do that with my kid too. Guess what?? Somehow, someway they still test the bonderies and get themselves in trouble. And then if your the only parent out of the two of you that cares to enforce the rules and the punishment to fit the crime so to speak. Then your the bad parent and made to look poorly in everyones eyes from the kid and the other "parent", who just wants to be the kids friend and not a parent. Well thats what happened in my case. I hope and pray that yours will be better. God bless.

(well at least not most of the time razz - nobody's perfect)

XD Good luck, and prayers to both of you.

Exxos There are few benefits to being sterile, but I think the lack of child vomit all over the house would be one of them. I'm pretty much guaranteed to be sterile too, but that actually doesn't bother me. I don't want kids for a number of reasons, primary of which is that I don't think I'm ready for them. That said, if I ever change my mind, there's always adoption.

Looks like we're gonna have to put you down." Me, "Uwha?" Official shoots me in head. "Ow! you shot me! What's wrong with you?!"

That said, if I ever change my mind, there's always adoption. Both my wife and I are against having kids as well. We don't really like them since far too many don't have parents who will teach them how to properly act. Plus too many genetic issues from both sides of the family. Besides, we like having our time and it makes it easier when planning trips and such too. Well it is too bad we don't really have any AGA members in the Colorado Springs area. If we did I'd say we could try to meet up. I will use today to pretty much wish you all well since tomorrow shall be a tad hectic finishing up the last bit of things before our trip. Have to be at the airport for 4am on Saturday. I will be back here on June 20th though.
