I don't see any posts. ninja Vallie's turn for a secret: I avoid moving threads in the Barton Town forums, because I hate that the forum is so fast moving it feels like I'm getting nowhere.I wonder if there's anything that'd interest me in Barton at the moment....... And what posts would you not be seeing? I don't know, I don't see them =P Probably not. A lot of the RPs are demon/vampire or romance D: I like my seedy modern underworld RP from years back. Skulking around in a trenchcoat, threatening people with a large pistol. Good times. @Kestin: Oh yes. And Barton is the fastest forum in Gaia.

Well, who the hell doesn't like threatening people with a large pistol? I prefer melee weapons, or sniper rifles. Pistols just anger me. .... Two exceptions, but both are silenced and only used in situations where going into melee range would would result in your position being found out by a dozen well armed enemies. ..... And only if those enemies aren't standing in the same area.

Okay, so apparently if I sell off everything in my invo that isn't nailed down (i.e. soulbound), I'll barely break 4.5mil...which is still not enough.
*sigh*
Well, that's assuming I don't sell my Kiki, which is the one thing I refuse to budge on. xp

i don't know if this is really much of a OMG secret or anything, it's more like i just want to say it to someone because in my head i just keep arguing with my self and in typing it out i hope to be able to understand and maybe think of a solution.
Ok...so my boyfriend is going to graduate college this year, which is great, but he will either A:get a job or B:go to grad school.
If he decides on a getting a job, he wants to move to California to work for Mozilla or some other company working with open source things. Most of these are on the west coast.
If he decides on grad school, he is looking at a few around the country and one in Canada.
The big thing is....i don't wanna move or leave my job, I love my job! and I really do like Vermont and the area we live in, but every time i think of that i feel like such a selfish b***h that i often hurt myself. I don't really like the sounds of California, and if we did go it would be a huge hassle because California doesn't accept the national certification exam that i already passed here. i would need to take another huge test to get the same title as i do now!
*sigh*stupid b***h i am, i don't want to hold him back from what he wants to do

My girlfriend and I are facing a similar problem Kitty.
I'm thinking that moving to America might be a good move for my job, or Canada..
But both would put her out of touch with her family, who are very dear to her.
... At this point though, I'm sufficiently depressed that I don't particularly care where life takes me. >.<;

I have a similar problem to you two, Kitty & Val.
My BF wants to move back to California where his daughter and granddaughter are and get back into the entertainment industry. He already has a house there, and is essentially staying here for me. I would LOVE to move with him, but... my parents hate him. And I mean they think he's a monster and want to see him locked up for the rest of his life, so moving with him would essentially be flipping my parents the finger, and I love them way too much to upset them like that. I have a great relationship with my parents and I don't want to ruin it. But... I don't want him to stay here just for me, but I don't want him to leave me either. :/

Oh my...
I've a similiar problem to Dystopian, Val, and Nya.
After graduation, it is absolutely certain that I will be marrying my boyfriend.
But we've got conflicting interests, in that, I want to stay in Georgia and study while he wants to join the US Army.
The Army can toss him wherever they feel like, and it's never going to be a guarantee that he'll be able to stay in Georgia until I finish school.
We've talked about him going to college with me for ROTC, but as interested as he seemed, I'm not sure that's the route he wants to go.
We've talked about me waiting to go to school until he can get settled into the Army, after all the basic training and AIT crap is done, but my parents are pushing me to go straight into college after high school.
They do say that it's ultimately my decision, as it is going to be my life, yet they push so hard on me...
We've talked about a last resort; courthouse wedding so that we may legally be married.
He'll get shipped wherever the Army sends him, and I will be home finishing up my studies, with my breaks and his leave time to see each other so we're not going *completely* insane.
...
It's not my favorite plan, but it's a plan nonetheless that will let us both have what we want...
I just don't know if I can be patient enough to wait four years to finish a Bachelor's Degree so that I can be with him...

Still about 1.5mil away. To someone like me, that's immense. *sigh* Sometimes I just can't remember why I bother. After all, I'm not meant to ever have what I want; my life has made that quite clear already.
