Dalila squealed in happiness when Sangre said she liked the hot chocolate. She then went into a describing mode, “It ish a fine beeth cooked bu-bu-but not all the way since you are like me, wif sweet onions on techis toast and hmmmmm bacon.” Dalila looked back at Lucian with a big smile, some of her teeth missing.
Lucian filled in what Dalila meant, “If you haven’t realized it yet, she is a Neko. She can sense other creatures as well, but she is too young to know what exactly you are.” Lucian put his sunglasses back into place; he leaned back and glanced around the café. Noting in the usual customers, he looked back at Sangre and continued to smile. Dalila made him laugh to no end. She always loved him without a second thought. He wasn’t sure if Sangre figured out what this place was, or if she was curious to know why he had a Goddaughter.
Sangre laughed, understanding.
"Yes, I know she's a Neko," she replied. Smiling, she tickled Dalila's cat ears. "It's quite obvious with these two cute little things on her head." Then she looked curiously at the patty melt. "Hm..." Reaching down with one hand, she took the sandwich and took a small, experimental bite.
Her eyes widened in convincing surprise.
"Oh wow!" She put a hand in front of her mouth to swallow before she spoke again. "That's very different!" She laughed, huggling Dalila close. The young girl was such a cutie.
Glancing out the window for really no reason at all, she saw something that nearly made her heart stop.
There was a black Ferrari on the other side of the street.
But she didn't let anything show in her face. Instead, she looked to Dalila and nuzzled the other's cheek as if she hadn't seen anything, chuckling as the young girl seemed to purr.
Then she looked at Lucian, and pouted.
"Must you have those on?" She asked as she tickled Dalila gently. "I can't see your eyes."
I hate it when I can't tell what the other person is thinking-
