Hello...my name is d**k Grayson, and I have a writer named Devin Grayson...no relation, except for the fact that she is clinically insane and desires nothing more for me to leap from the pages of my book and make love to her! Besides that, I watched a movie, er, thing...called Constantine.

Spider_Jerusalem I've seen it too. What's your verdict? For those that haven't read Hellblazer before and saw the movie, they will go out and get a few good reads in, realize that it's not Keanue and dump it. For those of us that have read Hellblazer and then saw the movie? I'm iffy? I didn't mind the casting, but I don't think that you can fit that much into two hours...nor would I like to see a series of movies. So yeah, i've yet to actually decide if it was good...or not?

Ah, I suppose I can see that. It seems to me that they were trying to duplicate the success of the Blade trilogy with Constantine.

The first two were decent, the third was a mass of uncut dialog and bad action. I admit, i'll go see Constantine again, to decide if I like it or not.

I refuse to watch Blade 3 after hearing about the "dialogue" and the fanged female genetalia. I personally think that the visuals and score were the saving grace of the film. I was actually surprised at how much of the comics they did put into the plot.

The visuals were excellent, but they did overdue the off-screen popup action. I mean, cutting something at the height of excitement, terror, etc...is good, but it can be overdone.

True. I think Scarface had the most effective use of that little trick. Overall, Constantine is head and shoulders above Catwoman and Elektra. While some of the concepts were underexplained, it was fairly cohesive and there wasn't a hideous amount of recycled shots like in Catwoman. I want to know who the ******** came up with the feet in water, stare at cat idea. The drowning and electrocution I can understand because it's a near death experience, but staring at a cat? What the ********?!

What the ******** class="clear"> I can bet you three to one, that at least fifty percent of the people watching the movie had full confidence that that particular scene was some occult trick, and were tempted to try it themselves. I do agree that Constantine is well above most of the previous releases, I dare say that I liked it better than X-Men and Spiderman...actually, I can say that I do.

Yeah well I got ten stitches on my face figuring out that doesn't work. Damn skittish cats. You know I would have to agree that it's a better movie than the first Spiderman and X-Men efforts. While I loathed the "I'm John Constantine, a*****e" tough guy act, there was nothing approaching the hideousness of Storm's line about frogs and lightning. That and Keanu Reeves is nowhere near as odious as Kirsten Dunst or Tobey McGuire. However I would take any opportunity presented to throw beef boy through twenty five sheets of vertically stacked non safety glass after lighting him on fire with a flaming rabid rat. At least he died in the movie.
