Pfft...a good half day's maybe a day's walk. There's a map in the first post of the RP, that should give you an idea.
But the other part is up to you. No matter what you're going to find yourself eventually receiving a rude welcome...being undead and all and what with necromancers about.
But that's not for another oh...three hours? Well, three hours about till Shadow gets on.
The group outside the fortress near the lake though, they're not so crack your face in on first look.

Okay, I was going to make a funny post about how my mother is more addicted to the computer then I am, though she swears up and down that it's the other way around. But after reading that whole kill the newbie thing, I think I'm just going to go and sit in a corner. *Does just that*
