Evil Little Flayer I've been around since '05 and I still consider myself really newbish in this whole combat/tournament scene. Still trying to figure out if I'm doing it right. sweatdrop

Everyone who knows my name can use it.
Just, not publically, since I'm pretty damn sure there is nobody else in the country with my first name, and I know for a fact I'm the only person with my whole name or my last name in the world, ever.
My middle name is the only thing normal about me. William, for the record. xD

I don't go "Sonja!" Everytime I see you. You don't call Roen, Chris.
Just because you happen to know someone's name IRL, doesn't mean you should use it.
Have you ever considered that maybe Vansin doesn't want every person who is in this thread to know his real name?
Obviously, I'm a hypocrite now, because I've used 2 peoples real names here without considering their feelings on the matter. But I am willing to be a hypocrite to prove a point.
If that's the case for Vansin, then you really should have kept this particular post in a pm. Considering those of who didn't know who "Rocco" was, now know exactly who it is, thanks to your gung-ho self-righteousness. And so, you've effectively done a better job of revealing Vansin's irl name than the person you were scolding. Sorry, Van.
It's a marvellous point.
But I've also gone and given my own just desserts by revealing -their- real names. I couldn't do that in a PM.

On the topic of characters, I've had Kenji for 6 years. I've had some ups and downs with him, but all in all he's served his purpose as one of Gaia's only true bad guys in world of mostly neutral aligned people. After the tournament I am thinking of revamping his powers seeing as he only has magic due to materia stones anyways. That means Kenji can easily swap move sets. I kind of want to make something more drug oriented to go along with his addiction.

Personally I'm not banged up about people knowing my first name. Knowing is fine. Calling me by it is what I'd rather not have happen. My first name is for people I know on a personal level.
So by all means, spread the word, but unless we're friend off this site, just don't call me it.
I appreciate Elli's consideration, even if your point made me lol, Flayer.

Personally I don't understand why any of you call each other by your first names. If any of you showed up on my doorstep to hang out, I'd probably be like, "Um, okay" and count the minutes until you left.
Makes things too personal when you start using real names. On Gaia, on MSN, I'm KB unless you know me otherwise. Who I am online and offline aren't the same, so running around calling me by my name is just... assuming a lot. Not that I'll rage over it, I just think people are stupid to do it.
And Roen still sucks. Not so much the character design ( though he seems a bit of a p***y ) but the way he's played. I don't even mind 'Chris' the player so much, when he isn't rubbing himself down in his own spicy mexi-tears.

I am not justifying the destruction of privacy. I'm just, as I said in my post, being a hypocrite.
If I was an American Government Official, I wouldn't be paying out the wazoo for health insurance x3

It's kind of hard to play a bad guy when most people play characters that are either 'dark' or intended to be badguys but never end up going far enough to be really evil and not just... jerks. That's half of the reason why I'm playing a Paladin now. It's the perfect type of character to play an antagonist role in a setting where most of the PCs are demons, devils, vampires, and assholes.
