I've had the same character on this account for years upon years. I hate making new characters, sometimes. I mean, I'll make them if I'm just ******** around with friends but that rarely happens anymore cause everyone is into srs bzns.

Kenji III Yes. That's exactly it, Vansin. We're all just telling him his character is awesome after he claimed he needed to put more work into his. It's the same thing fat girls do when they say "I'm ugly" in front of a group of guys trying to score a compliment. But you have all answers. Continue with the conversation. I'm absolutely okay with Roen being the ugly girl of this OOC thread. Also, the point of fact is that his character isn't really all that bad. Aside from stealing my stegosaurus scraps when I look away sometimes, or being a carbon copy of some vidja game character (which is okay, because the HOST of this tournament does that as a profession) the profile he submitted wasn't all that broken at all. In fact, I rather enjoyed it compared so some of the nine page lists of frivolous powers I saw. So if he needs someone to pat him on the back and tell him he's pretty, okay.

That's also the hard part with making new characters, especially on new accounts. Most of the people in these threads don't give you a second glance unless you've been around for a number of years, and no one can verify when you came unless you show them another account.

Lavelle Esculentus It is because you need to pick a skill set/ devil powers and stick with it instead of revamping him every 6 months or so. Roen's personality and abilities change so often that he can't help but be broken.
The only reason Roen is broken is because he's not man enough to fight me! xP

Well, I tend to go through a lot of characters until I can find one I can write for. The first ten years I RP'ed, I went from having a basic human who slowly made his way up to being a god. Then I went on a random spurt of playing a character from like a week to six months up until I started with Ross.
Every now and then, I get the urge to make a few new ones, but I know I'd never play them past a few days.

That sums it up Fae. I have a few accounts that have been around for years. My original account having been stripped completely in 04 which caused me to make this account and a few others. Though back in 04, I was a newb.

Just because you happen to know someone's name IRL, doesn't mean you should use it.
Have you ever considered that maybe Vansin doesn't want every person who is in this thread to know his real name?
Obviously, I'm a hypocrite now, because I've used 2 peoples real names here without considering their feelings on the matter. But I am willing to be a hypocrite to prove a point.

If that's the case for Vansin, then you really should have kept this particular post in a pm. Considering those of us who didn't know who "Rocco" was, now know exactly who it is, thanks to your gung-ho self-righteousness. And so, you've effectively done a better job of revealing Vansin's irl name than the person you were scolding. Sorry, Van.
