It depresses me to read everyone's fight and see how much work they put into their characters.
I really need to fix Roen.

You've been around for a while, right Roen? I don't see how you haven't put a lot of work into the character. Like Kenji said, what's wrong with Roen?

Roen, the tyrant lizard.
I don't see what needs changing.
On a more serious note. Lots of "time" or "work" means abolsutely nothing. We have some people in this tournament who have both been here for ages and have put lots of thought into their characters.
And they absolutely suck.

It is because you need to pick a skill set/ devil powers and stick with it instead of revamping him every 6 months or so. Roen's personality and abilities change so often that he can't help but be broken.

Roen's personality and abilities change so often that he can't help but be broken. Sounds like me. But instead of revamping personalities, I just start a new character. It's rare that I return to one that I've previously abandoned, though.

Or maybe Roen was trying to get this reaction out of us.

Fae: I make new characters as well! But I switch back and forth between them depending on my mood and rp needs!

Yes. That's exactly it, Vansin.
We're all just telling him his character is awesome after he claimed he needed to put more work into his. It's the same thing fat girls do when they say "I'm ugly" in front of a group of guys trying to score a compliment.
But you have all answers.
Continue with the conversation.

I'm half-way with Fae on this one. I make/start/flesh a lot of characters, generally very rapidly as my mind just jumps from one project to the next (******** wannabe ADD or something, I swear) but I do go back to previous characters. I've never abandoned one, and some that I've worked on for years get completely overhauled in a matter of days.
Just how it happens, with me.
