*Sigh* I have two shades: Translucent, and On Fire.
Yeah tanning isn't an option to me thanks to German heritage. I managed to get sunburned HORRIBLY on an overcast day, and yes you can trace 80% of my veins all the way to my heart cause I'm so pale. Stupid effin' ancestors couldn't just marry someone from another race to ensure that their future offspring wouldn't spontaneously combust in moderate sunshine. stressed

I'm starting to get my tan back. I was real dark when I was young... I lived in Florida, California, and Hawaii. Nough said.
Then I moved to Alaska for 3 years...
Alas, I am pale. 6 months of no sun will do that to you. Lol.
I'm in North Carolina now, so I'm getting it back, finally. I'll be in Florida again the next 4 years for college... so I should be tan from now on.

My greatest heritage contributors are Germans and Welsh. Yep, I am a Barbarian Celt. As such, I don't tan. Period. In fact, I work outside for 8+ hours a day, five days a week. By the end of the summer those exposed parts of me are barely tanned, and the parts of me that are denied the evils of the sun are pale enough to make my friends cringe.
Besides, I have always found the unblemished ivory skin of a pale woman to be most . . . intoxicating. pirate

*pouts in the corner full of jealousy for Tana and Snowman (and Gale as well actually) while cuddling her bottle of vitamin E and aloe lotion for her more severe sunburns* It's nice to remember on occasion that I'm a prime target for skin cancer...
