".....You wouldent!" Rei's eyes widen. she kicked the sides of the horse as they sped off to the village.

[Pssh. Whatever. Just get out of my head.]
"Woah!" Seto jolted slightly when Rei took off so quickly, but didn't blame her. He could hear the blonde cackling as they rode away, and tried to block him out. As they neared Kul Elna, Seto could see a pillar of dark smoke rising in the horizon.

Once in the village she jumped off the horse "BAKURA!" she yelled running twards the burning building.

"Rei, wait--!" Seto yelled, getting off of the horse as well. If Mariku could be trusted, then perhaps Bakura was already dead. It would be senseless for Rei to risk running into the burning building if it was too late. Bakura, having regained slight consciousness, had tried his best to move. He could hear the fire crackling and could feel its intense heat, but it was useless. Mariku had tied him up somehow, and left him chained. He couldn't see anything, since there was some kind of bag over his head, which was making it hard to breathe. The smoke made it nearly impossible, plus a gag. He was hyperventilating, struggling to remain alive, but he didn't see any hope. There was no way... Then he heard Rei's voice. Unable to call back, he just curled into a ball as best as he could, trying to get away from the flames.

Rei pushed threw the burning building ignoring the flames as singed her skin. Getting to what looked like bakura she untied the back ripping it off his head. She worked as fast as she could getting the gag off.

Bakura turned his head to the side when Rei managed to get the gag off and began to cough violently, shaking terribly. He struggled to speak but couldn't, and instead looked up at Rei, his eyes watering from all the smoke. He was tied up like a mummy, but had two chains attached to his wrists that were attached to the wall. The wall, however, was beginning to crumble from the fire, so the chains could easily be pulled out.

Rei yanked as hard as she could on the chains intill they had been pulled from the wall. Some of her clothes had already cought fire but she dident care. All she cared about was bakura.

Seto suddenly burst into the flaming house as well, hesitating a little bit after seeing Rei go in. Noticing her burning clothes, he grabbed her around the waist, pushing her outside the house and into the sand. "Put those out!" He shouted hoarsely, choked by the smoke. He quickly ducked back inside and located Bakura, grabbing him and hauling him out easily now that he wasn't bound to anything.

Rei rolled around in the sand for a moment putting the flames out. her back,legs and arms were burned. Once seto brought bakura out she rushed over to unwrap him.

Bakura was still conscious, though barely. Seto rolled him onto his side and thumped him on his back, then pulled out his Millennium Rod and pulled the blade out. He slit the fabric down the side, finding that easier to do than actually taking the time to unwrap it all. He flinched slightly at all the marks littering Bakura's body, and quickly went over to the horse, looking for a cloth for Bakura and water.

Mariku slowed the horse. He was glad that he had been able to distract the other two so quickly. It was odd, though, because he hadn't seen the two children. Surely Rei hadn't been foolish enough to leave them here alone? He got off the horse and went to the door, pushing it open and stepping inside, peering around. Bakura had been struggling to breathe and his eyes flashed open when he felt Rei's touch. "I-I..." He couldn't say much else, and fell into a coughing fit. He was trying so hard to stay awake that he was just putting himself through more pain. He felt like his throat was closing up on him.

Ayira just steped out of the bedroom. the twins had fell asleep.Her eyeswiden when she sawthe blode "you!"
"Shhh its ok" she said giving him a kss on the cheak.

Mariku seemed equally surprised to see Ayira. "You!" He mirrored, blinking. "I thought I killed you!" Seto came back, handing Rei a waterskin and briskly going deeper into the village, looking for something. He came back with two tattered curtains, one of which he wrapped around Bakura's middle and the other he gave to Rei, since most of her clothes had burned off. It was better than nothing. "Can Bakura speak?" He asked, taking a hold of Bakura's chin and tilting his head up, motioning for Rei to give him some water.

"I thought they killed you!" ayira said backing away. She was unarmed and no match for mariku.
"No" Rei said gently pouring some water in bakuras mouth.
