It didn't bother himself, he wasn't looking for a relationship with her. His sights were set a bit higher.

"It's been a pleasure Jade. Sorry I made you miss your dinner."

By now his mind was focusing on other things and he wondered whether or not Aziz had found Ra'kar. He might be in an interesting situation depending upon how quickly information travelled.

- Knock! knock! knock! -

a young man and woman stood outside the door. In place of their eyes, was flickering flame. They both had hair that hung to their backsides, and it seemed to shimmer with every shade and tint a flame could be. For anyone who wasn't accustomed to such oddities, it would make them nearly impossible to look at, inflicting a terrible, dizzying migraine. Their skin was the colour of charred ash. Their garb was minimal and what little covering they had was very tribal in a refined sort of way. It was basic, yet it was ornate. Decorated with gold and fyre gems.

Aestaes and Tandrae, Her personal servants.

Quin had been sitting on the bed, contemplating on the next move to make when the knock on his door disturbed him. Cursing his thoughts were dashed at the intrusion and he made his way to the door; but not without resting his hand once upon his firearm.

With a clunk the dead bolt was loosed and he swung the door open.

"Can I help you?"

The dazzling and rather annoying appearance of the two worked very well at irking him and soon made his eyes hurt. They made him think of smouldering flames that were on the verge of dyeing out.

"Come with us, we are to escort you. You presence is 'requested' by she whom we serve."

The voices melded together in unison. Making the voice neither male nor female, yet each stood before him. They each held a hand out, waiting to take him by the arms.

It was clear that the 'request' was simply a polite way of saying he had no choice.

"Oh?"

Well things were moving pretty fast and it amused him in a detached way. Though the fact that they wanted to take him by the arms put him on the defence.

He took a step forward though to join them; but he took neither's arm.

"Well shall we be off then?"

'Jade' by this point had gone into the bathroom, more to wipe the bad taste of the whole night from her mouth. She refused to regret her actions, but it did not make them anymore tasteful. So she didn't hear the entrance of the twins or the ensuing conversation. Instead, she tried to keep herself as together as she'd shown Quin.

"Bleck!" again she rinsed her mouth out. Never again would she take a drink from anyone but her Mistress! This she swore. But when she looked up into the mirror, all she saw were the tears running down her cheeks. How could she ever look at Ra'kar again. Her hands lifted, rubbing her eyes like a small child.

"...I just won't go back until I can prove myself worthy." A childish declaration, but one she would stick with. She'd do something to prove herself worthy to Ra'kar...somehow. And until she did, she didn't deserve to be in the same space as her wonderful Mistress.

Fiery eyes glanced between one another.

"My sister, Aesteas will stay here. I will bring you before our lady."

"I will attend the Jhadia, Synmalthin."

They spoke separately now as they each explained their rolls. Aesteas was Ra'kar's Lady in Waiting. She would be the one to collect and deal with Tellus before presenting her to Ra'kar.

They would both appear before her separately.

Tandrae would nod at his sister as she disappeared into the inn's room.

"Follow me. I will not force your steps... but running would be unwise."

Aesteas, upon entering the room immediately was drawn to Tellus, hiding in the bathroom. Even as the Synmalthin stared into the mirror, despising the deeps which she had committed, the Fyre Slave would appear over her shoulder waiting for Tellus to acknowledge her.

Eventually Tellus would look up, and just seeing the Fyre Slave made Tellus want to cry anew. Her green eyes that had so recently swirled before her mistress now with black fire, now swam with the green of her birth.

"I can't go back...even as my heart yearns for her...I am not worthy to be in her presence..." And then the Fyre slave would find something rather odd as Tellus flung herself at the being, clinging to her like a child to a mother, weeping. It didn't matter that she didn't even know the woman other than what she'd been told, her heart was breaking and she needed physical contact.

Even with Wisto, she'd never felt this level of betrayal. Perhaps it was partially his own coldness, but Tellus felt she'd die whether she went back to Ra'kar or ever left her side again, and it was tearing her apart...

Quin could only really grin at this, but he did do his best not to roll his eyes. Leaning on his cane he inclined his head and directed for Tandrae to lead the way.

"You have nothing to fear of me running."

It was absolutely absurd that Quin would run, he was looking for Ra'kar. While this was a little quicker then he had expected he wasn't going to turn down good fortune.

Aesteas was unmoved. It was as if there was no warmth left in her, like a dead ember, long since cooled of the fire's touch. She was ash, something already consumed by the flame.

She had no sympathy to offer the crying woman. No words of consolation.

However, she had a job to do. Retrieve the Jhadia Synmalthin. Make her presentable and fit to appear before Ra'kar.

Placing one hand on Tellus' shoulder, she smoothed her hair back with the other, stroking her hair softly.

"Our Mistress wishes your return Jhadia, and so you must obey and go to her side."

Pressing a finger to Tell's lips she would help the smaller woman to her feet.

"Let us get you cleaned up."

=====

Tandrae just nodded and led the man downstairs. Exiting the tavern/inn, Quin would be led through the busy streets as they bustled with the life of the morning market. The pace was set by Quin, and whatever was comfortable yet speedy for a man of his physical condition.

It was a crisp day and frost decorated the windowpanes of the storefronts they passed. He would be led across this particular quarter of town to another tavern.

The sign over the door read 'The Rusty Nail Inn and Tavern' in gold and rust paint.

The fyre slave would open the door and usher Quin inside.

Jhadia...She still didn't really understand the term and it just made her feel even less than she was. But she stood, and didn't say a word. She would obey, but her lips would be silent as she looked in the mirror. She was relatively cleaned. A bit mussed, her braids undone by 'wresslin' on the bed, and perhaps a bit sleep deprived.

She took a step away from the Fyre Slave, the lack of even human emotion making her retreat even further. She made to move into the bathroom by herself. She could at least clean herself. Then again, with one as emotionally fragile as Tellus could be, leaving her alone might be a bad idea. Even the normal heat of Tellus' body was retreating, leaving in it's wake just a chill in the air much like a beach near an ocean. It wasn't so much that she was cool, as she was lacking any heat whatsoever...an absolute vacumn of heat.

And she would attempt to close the door in the 'woman's face.

'Jhadia' was their word for 'Lady' and while Tellus had not conducted herself as one, She was still of a higher rank and title than Aesteas. What respect Tellus was owed would be given.

"Have a shower and wash away the scent of your transgression Jhadia. When you are finished cleansing, I will help you dress."

The fyre slave would close the door to the bathroom behind her as she exited, leaving Tellus to privacy.

Aesteas would seat herself by the window and wait.

She wasn't stupid enough to run. So she did as she was told, showering in the dismal shower, but going at least a little out of her way to purify the water as she did so. Once that was done, she dried off and came out of the shower. She looked down at the clothing she'd worn in distaste, for she'd had time to do more thinking while showering.

But she had nothing else with her at the moment, so she slipped the jeans back on, and then the so called top. Oh Gaia, why had she followed him up here? Why hadn't she seen what he'd meant? Why was she so damned naive.... Her tiny body shuddered as she curled within herself, going deeper and deeper until her personality threatened to disappear entirely...

"I am ready." she spoke as she exited, her tone devoid of any life or sparkle. Her normally bouncing braids were gone, her hair seeming even lifeless, no longer like a river as it streamed behind her, her emerald green eyes dull. But she was dressed.

Quin was forced to meander along at a slow plodding pace; but then it didn't bother him much since he had learned a long time ago that he just couldn't go any where fast if he was to walk. Instead of focusing on the length of time he instead chose to with a casual eye observe his guide.

The information he would take in was rather boring and Quin didn't ask any questions less his works give him away to what he did.

Eventually though Quin would be at the tavern, though with little more knowledge of his guide at the end of the journey then he had at the start. So in a way he had to give some respects to Ra'kar for having such implacable servants.

"This is just a stop gap I suppose."

Aesteas had gotten to her feet when she'd heard the water stop. She met Tellus at the door and shook her head, pointing at the bed where a beautiful sleek dress was laid out. Open backed, despite the time of year-- and sleeveless. It was made of black silk and laced up the sides, clearly meant to be worn without undergarments. The skirt was studded with gems as if they were no more than sequins. A beautiful ornamental pattern of blue-green fire. A matching choker was laid out next to it, with a delicate black chain that connected from the choker to the bosom of the dress. A black cloak lined with some sort of dark, soft fur was beneath it.

"Our Mistress bid that you wear this, Jhadia."
