Toby nodded. "Sure! I've only taught Maia, though." Hmm, maybe he should get Luca set up with some real cooking classes. He smiled to Maia then.
"Yeah, we actually caught her while she was eating a cheeseburger." He mimed her fashion of eating way back when, teasing.

"Awesome. You can teach me to use a microwave!"
"Lucky you did. I would've left and you'd never have found me." Maia took a bite of cake, swallowed and smiled at him. It was impossible to say how glad she was Toby had found her. Shed learned so much from him and Dari, and now they were together.

Toby chuckled. "Everything else first, unless absolutely necessary. I mean, we can learn the microwave maybe..." Burritos and things meant for warming in there while he learned.
Toby smiled and rolled his eyes. "Right. Because the fully-armed men on the crewboat wouldn't have found you."

"I'm glad you found me instead," Maia smiled. She had been scared enough with just the two agents. "It wouldn't have been as fun."

"I'm glad you thought it was fun in hindsight," Toby teased, then turned to Luca, "Or oven, yeah. I mean, there are things it's more efficient to cook in a microwave, but it can zap out a lot of texture if you're not careful."

"It's fun remembering the man who refused to go on a date with me is now my boyfriend." She grinned at him. "Ask him to show you how to blow up marshmallows, Luca."
"Blow up marshmallows?" Luca echoed, looking to Toby.

Toby looked to Dari. Dari smiled.
"You put them in the microwave and let them go a little while. Or a vacuum, like the scientific chamber, not the household appliance."

"And they explode?" Luca was fascinated. Exploding marshmallows probably had little to do with cooking, but it sounded interesting! "I have a microwave at home, but it's intimidating with all the buttons."

"Well, they expand. If you get to explosion you may have gone too far," Dari said.
Toby smiled. "Nah, you never use half of the buttons."

The flight was not quite as long as it might have been, and the drive would have been quite simple had Luca and Lori not gotten "lost" and deciding to "grab food" for the better part of an hour. Everything was tossed inside, put in its proper rooms, and then the gang all bundled up save Dari and headed out into the gently falling snow. There was already a few inches laid down. Reasonably, Toby immediately bent to pack up a snowball and chucked it at the back of Dari's head. Dari laughed and retaliated.
Lori just looked to Luca and squeezed his hand. Snow!

Luca was beaming, tugging Lori along through the snow. Even though he trudged through and stumbled, it was clear he was having fun. "Its beautiful! I've never seen it before." He bent to pick some up and packed it experimentally.
Maia attempted to sneak up behind Toby with a handful of snow.

"Never?!" Lori asked. He followed Luca happily and then, when his lover tried to make a snowball, he fell down and began to make a rather large snow angel.
Toby meanwhile was too intent on pegging Dari with snowballs while laughing that he didn't notice Maia coming up behind him.

"Never," Luca confirmed. He looked down and watched Lori make a snowangel. He laid down beside Lori and smiled. "This is the most beautiful, coldest, thing I've ever experienced."
Maia stuffed snow down Toby's coat, laughed, and ran.

Lori leaned up and smiled, then leaned over to kiss Luca quickly. He personally was of the opinion that Luca was much more beautiful than snow, but he was probably biased. The wistful looks Luca had been giving the snow from the car had been entrancing.
"OI! HEY!" Toby tried to lift his jacket, which only made it worse, and turned to chase Maia just in time for Dari to peg him i the head with a snowball. It was loose, so it exploded and took his hat with it. He stumbled following Maia and tried to tackle her into the snow.

Luca gave Lori a bright smile, and instead of attempting to make a snow angel, took his hand. "I love you," he said.
Toby was successful in tackling Maia; they fell into the snow, the selkie laughing. She kissed him.
