[A cliff to jump off of xD]
PostPosted: Fri Oct 30, 2009 8:51 am

Well, the traditional image of The Fool, card-wise, is a court jester jumping off a cliff.

It has nothing to do with how to read it, really, but I'm going with traditional poses for most of these.

Quote:
0 -The fool - the only Tarot card without number. Means rashness, recklessness, imprudence, foolhardiness.

I - The Magician (The Magnus of Power). Note, how I try to show all the symbols - wand, cup, sword and coin.
This is good card. Means creative action, self discipline and a willingness to take risks. But if reversed - confusion, hesitation, inability to make decisive choices.

II - The High Priestess (or or Papess (La Papess),
or The Priestess of the Silver Star, or Gate to the temple). Woman with scroll and lotus between black and white columns. Card means duality and mystery, intuition, wisdom and secret knowledge. If reversed - lack of personal harmony, things and circumstances are not what they seem.

III - The Empress (also known as The Daughter of the Mighty Ones, or Isis). This is woman of great power but she is kind and caring. The moon below her, and stars above her. Meanings - Creativeness, maternal care, domestic stability, abundance, security, achievement of goals and growth.

IV - The Emperor (also known as Son of Morning, Chief Among the Mighty). Meanings - worldly power, self control gained through experience. Ability to shoulder responsibility. Powerful individuals, ambition together with the possibility of long term achievement.Reversed - immaturity and indecision, weakness, manipulative friends.

V - The Hierophant (also known as Pope or The Magnus of the Eternal)
On original card we can see the high priest with two of his apprentices. Meanings: guidance and authority, education. A seeker after knowledge and wisdom. When reversed - misleading or dubious advice, distortion of truth.

VI - The Lovers. It shows the man who stands between two of his lovers, trying to choose, and the Cupid's arrow points on them. Anyway, contrary to common opinion, this card is not about Love. It's about Choice.
Divinatory meaning - Harmony and union, choices to be made using intuition and not intellect. Difficult decisions to be made not necessarily about love. Some form of test and consideration about commitments. Abstract thought, internal harmony and union, second sight. Possibly a struggle between two paths.
Reversed - Contradiction, deception, disharmony, duality and one's own internal conflict. Infidelity, and romantic disturbances. Indecisiveness, postponing choices and a warning not to make important decisions at this time.

VII - The Chariot.
Meanings of this card are really good - Triumph and victory, decisiveness and ambition in achieving one's goals. A period of struggle ending in worldly success. Self control, effort, perseverance. But in reversed - Reversed - a disregard for others, envy, avarice. Loss of control and chaos in one's personal life possibly due to personal flaws. Imbalance. Destruction.
