"Skylar is confused; someone take a picture!" Sammy chuckled, crawling her way under the couch and laying there. It was probably her favorite place in the whole main room of the HQ.

"Eh, I'm not gonna say anything more on that subject," he replied to Adie. He looked down at her and smiled, sticking his tongue out at her reaction. Cody softly combed through her hair, still with a big smile on his face. "Room for one more?" he asked Adie as he flopped down on top of her.

"I tend to have that effect on men," Adie said with a laugh, her arm shooting up from under Cody so it could be seen over the back of the couch. She gave it a slight wave before it disappeared once more, giving a mighty heave to spill Cody over onto the couch next to her.
"I am alive!" she said with a giggle, sticking her tongue out at him playfully.

Skylar's eyebrows slumped. 'Course no one'll tell me. I'm not apart of the 'A-Team' here he thought. He observed Sammy crawl under the couch and leaned his whole torso sideways to look under there.
"Drop a penny?" he asked.

"I hope someone else did," she answered Skylar, picking at the bottom of the couch. "Y'know, most people don't consider the fuzz that builds up under here. If recycled, we could maybe make a fluffy bean-bag chair," she muttered, flicking a dust bunny at Skylar. "Of course, that's just my opinion."

"Really?" he asked her, chuckling slightly. "You tend to make men stop talking about whatever they were talking about before? If that even makes any sense."
Cody gave her a slight push into the back of the couch. "Ya know, there's only room on here for one of us. Either that, or I'm gonna have to lose weight," he said, poking at his stomach. It wasn't as flat as he wanted it, but it wasn't round either so he was good. About 130-135 pounds was where he was right now and that's where he wanted to stay.

"Bean bag chairs are always nice," she said with a laugh, seeing Skylar look under the couch as Sammy crawled under there. She had no idea why the girl was the most comfortable under there, but she was not going to be the one to question it. Whatever made her happy.
"I meant confusing people silly. See? You just proved my point," she said with a laugh, reaching over and poking Cody gently as he poked his own stomach. It made her giggle slightly in an amused way. It was amazing how easily amused she got when she was tired.
"You don't want to fight me for this couch. I'm vicious when provoked..."

Skylar sighed and shook his head.
"When's the kid with the blue bandanna coming back?" he asked, standing back up straight, cracking his back. He stayed longer than he planned, and was starting to think he was over-staying his welcome, getting the vibe that he was being talking about behind his back. Perhaps that "friendliness" he felt was just his mind playing games.

"And I'm in no state to handle vicious right now," he started to laugh, but failed as it turned into a yawn. "And I'm not confused. My mind is just delayed," he got out a full laugh that time, but yawned again.

Lurking around the main area of HQ is the Dark One. He shifts and slides around in the darkness observing the Aquaians' activities. Interesting creatures they are.

"Well, I haven't seen Ike today, but I'm sure he'll turn up. He usually does when there is something the rest of us need to know about. He is the diligent one of this group, which is probably why he is the leader," she said with a slight laugh, stretching her arms above her head with a strange sounding squeak before grinning over at Cody, giving him a small wink. He was cute when he yawned.

"You mean Mr. Ike," Sammy said, making sure that it didn't sound like a question. "I dunno; I haven't seen him around. Why, we're not good company?" she asked, putting her best puppy-dog face on as she came out from under the couch.

"Ike said something about going to Canalave for the next two days," Cody lied, hoping to fool Skylar. "He put me in charge for the time being." At this point, he was trying to suppress a laugh and hide any trace of a smile. He figured Sammy would figure him out immediately, but hoped she wouldn't say anything. As for Adie, she pretty much seemed to know when he was lying.

Skylar beamed a stealthy look at Cody and thought to himself not exactly.
"Yeah, Ike. He's the one Jasmine was always talking about." he said in a mild-quiet tone. "Just wanna ask a question... then maybe I'll be outa here."

"Is it a question we might be able to answer," she asked, tilting her head to the side in genuine curiosity. It was not so much that she wanted their guest to leave, but more that she wanted to be helpful. Glancing over at Cody as he gave a blatant lie, she was not sure what his game plan was, but for now thought it would be best to keep her mouth shut.
