ryugi's the only one saying "no." unless you got pms or i need to do some backreading, that's all there was. i understand what you just said [and so i concede that we need to maintain a fun environment] so okay.
it totally looks like i hate ryugi. i'll laugh at him, but i'm civil and will converse with him as such if we... had to talk or something. i'm also completely uninterested in watching a siege on his city. i just don't like him closing his sandbox because someone else wants to play in it.
If you look back, he said "please just go around" or something close to that. Even used 'please'. Clearly he just doesn't want to play that game, and from the angle Maxi's told me of, he's had complaints from at least 3 people independently about the army.
Ryugi never said "no, you can't come in", he said "please don't ruin our fun".
We are here to preserve, first and foremost, a fun roleplaying environment. There are plenty of other cities that could be conquered and I'm sure people would get a kick out of throwing in their hats to defend them (like Barton). However, the only people actively RPing in the Lament thread (which is out of the way enough as is, and has it's own little clique) don't seem to want to see that happen, and not in an "oh noes, an army" way, but in a "oh s**t, a frustration headache coming on due to massive powergaming" way.
If Ryugi had said "no", I would have instantly responded with "yes, or your thread isn't a public environment and doesn't belong here". Instead he said "please", which is another matter entirely.
