She ran back to Neko's room where she'd left her bag, grabbed a hoodie out of it, and put the hoodie on as she ran back to the main room and out the door he'd gone through.

-=Neko stepped a ways from the forestline, wher an old, thick tree stump sat, about five feet tall and three feet wide. Heko slipped a couple of kunai from he belt and held them up by the blades as he walked to Eli, holding them out to her=-
You know what these are, now we'll learn how to use them.

She took the kunai that he offered and held them. Though she knew what they were, she definitely did not know how to use them. She helf them in a way that was reminiscent of someone comically holding a knife and fork at the dinner table while waiting for dinner to be served.

-=neko chuckled a little and pulled another Kunai out of his belt. He held the ring against the palm of hs hand, the blade extending out from his fingertips as he held them together, his thumb pressing the handle of the kunai against his palm, showing Eli the underside of his hand=-
If you want to throw a kunai, this is the easiest way...Hold it like this, swing your arm from the elbow, keeping your wrist straight, and let the kunai slide out of you r hand...
-=Neko did just that, flinging the kunai towards the stump. it flew slowly and hit the stump with a soft 'thunk', piercing in a few centimeters=-
The weight of the kunai will do most of the work, so you don't have to put much power behind it...

She tried to mimic what he'd done, but the kunai didn't go in the direction she'd intended. Nor did it go very far. She tried again with the second with similar results.

-=neko picked up the Kunai, and handed them back to Eli. He held his finger up for a moment, alked to the stump and tore a bit off. He walked back to Eli with it and tossed it onto the ground in front of her=-
Here, try this. just focus on sticking the kunai into that piece of wood. Try to just let it fall at first, then gradually start putting more power behind it until you can throw it straight down pretty well..Then we can start letting you throw it normally, and build up on your distance...

It took her a quite few tries but she eventually was able to hit the wood chunk. The first time she hit it, she looked up at Neko, a big smile on her face. It took a few more tries before she was able to consistently his the chunk. Once she had that taken care of, she did has he requested and started putting more force behind it, missing again the first few times, but eventually getting consistent with that as well.

Okay, good. Now let's try this...
-=Neko walked towards the stump and stood about two feet away from it. He pulled his kunai from it and twirled it around on his finger a bit, before throwing it into the wood=-
Stand here, and throw it into the stump.

This was harder for her, and took longer for her to adjust to. She had to adjust to the difference between throwing down and throwing away from her. Then she had to cover the larger distance. Finally she had to throw with enough power that the kunai would stick in the stump instead of just bouncing off when it hit. But eventually she got them to stick consistently.

Good, now, keep stepping back when you get the hand of it...I'll go make us some tea...
-=Neko nodded to Eli and walked back into the kitchen, grabbing some tea leaves and a kettle. He filled the kettle at the sink and set it on the stove, after turning it on. He watched Eli carefully through the window, sighing=-
