Aerith smiled weakly back and took the small bag hesitantly before tying it defensively to herpouch and looking around to make sure no one was going to try and steal it before hurrying after her sensei. She followed closely behind him until she saw a small building with a sign saying 'Inn'.
The lamps outside were being lit and the window's shutters were closing. She pointed it out quietly.

He nods once and changes direction towards the Inn.
As he walks, he softly talks to her in a bit of a scerius tone.
"Later when you are prepared, we will go to test your strength.. Besides, we have to teatch you something about Konoha shinobi.. Well, all of the shinobi differences.."
Thay reatches the entrance to the Inn, and he stops momentarely.
"Remember that if anything goes wrong, then dissapere.. Dissapere for a month and then return at the council halls."
He then enters and takes a look at the pepole in the Inn.

Aerith followed him and listened to what he said. When he mentioned that there might be trouble and she would have to disappear worry gripped her stomach and she stared at the man's back, her fist clenched in fear. She didn't want to have to disappear and leave him for a month. Not just that but she might never see him again.
She remained quiet though and nodded firmly when he could see her to make sure that she understood.

"Hehe, come.."
He walks up to the Inn keeper and makes a freindly nod at him.
He points at a bottel of sake and drops some coins at the desk.

Aerith looked around her and saw atable nearby she crossed the room and sat down near it. Moments later raki flew in the doorway and landed on the table.
The inn keeper looked very startled and almost dropped the bottle of sake he was passing to the man. He moved to shoo it out of the inn but as soon as Aerith reached out and arm and the bird climbed on she gave the inn keeper a cold, almost warning glance. The inn keeper paused and decided to leave it be. Muttering something about a 'no pets' policyunder his breath.
Aerith pretended not to hear.

He lifts an eyebrow and places a few more coins and speaks lightly.
"And then we have an understanding.."
He takes the bottel and two glasses, and walks over to the girl and sits.
"Here, take a sip.."
He poures up to them both.

Aerith watched him pour the drinks. Then when she saw he label on the bottle she grimaced slightly. The last time she drank that it had scorched her throat. However she grabbed the glass and poured it all down her throat and swallow. Closing her eyes and tucking her ead to her chest as if she had just bitten something extremely sour. After a second she let out a breath and put the glass down on the table, glad it was over.
The inn keeper's jaw dropped and he left the front desk to have a minature heart attack and a woways-me moment in the room behind him. First of all an eagle flies into the inn, then underage drinking. To top it all of they both looked like ninja, and the man looked like he wasn't a stranger to inflicting pain. After he had his little breakdown he came back to the front desk.
Aerith's cheeks were slightly rosy and she felt a tad more relaxed than she should be.

He smiles at her and fastly drink up. Then closes his eyes lightly and enjoys the feeling he havent had for some time now.
"Hehe.. How do you feel kiddo? Dont worry, we are not getting drunk tonight.."

She didn't really reply. A soft mumer escaped her lips before she tilted sideways slightly. The after taste in her mouth was still rank and she wished for something to wash it away.
She had been moving around alot today and that new jutsu had practically exhausted her. The sake was slowly making her more relaxed and she was slipping into a stae of sleepy wakefulness.
Raki, seeing it to be a wise move, hopped and flapped off her arm onto the table turning around to watch her carefully.

"Go to bed.."
He places a set of keys in front of her.
"Go get some sleep.. you will need it.."
He smiles softly, and gently strokes the bird on its neck.
"You go with her.. And protect her.."

Aerith stood shakily and then put one hand against the wall and rubbed her eyes with the other. She had no idea why she had just been so overcome by exhaustion but she didn't argue when he told her to go to sleep. Sleeping had and alomst blissful appeal. She bent and picked up the key and then looked at the number and made her way carefully and sleepy to the room.
Raki snapped at the man's finger but only after he pulled it away and it was out of reach. He was getting used to the man but he snapped at him out of some strange animal pride and then he flew fter then girl and landed on the floor beside her. hoping along in a jerky brd walk until she opened the door to the room and he flew inside.
She closed the door behind her and put the key on a table beside it. She had barely removed her shoes before she was crawling across the floor and burrying herself in the futon on the floor.
Aerith slept deeply and peacefully, for the first time in quite a while.

He slowly took another sip, but this time of the botle.
Then places it on the table and slowly walks up the stairs towards the room.
He didnt need sleep. He had too mutch going on, and was allready prepared enough, all he neded was for his student to recover.
He entered the room and smiled a bit as he saw her laying there, sleeping so peacefully. "The key.." He picked it up and locks the door after him. Then sits on a chair and closes his eyes wating and resting till she woke up.

Moments before the sun rose Aerith eyelods began to flicker as she woke up.
Before she opened her eyes she clurled up tightly and then streached happily. The warmth of the futon and her streaching, relaxed muscles felt great. She gave herself a moment before she opened her eyes and sat up. She rubbed the sleep out of thm and looked around. Raki was perched on the window sill and her sensei was in a chair. She got up and opened the window for Raki.
"Gomenasai sensei, have you been waiting long?"
She walked to the door and pulled on her shoes, then picked up her scarf from where it was tossed to the floor, sometime in the night.

He was lying, but hid it well. Nine hours are a long time to wait, but yet a good way to test ones patience.

She checked her pouch and the rest of her meger belongings before standing ready.
"What will we be doing today sensei?"
