Fox, you gonna take that? You gonna let Sieg's son get up all in your face? You were rolling with the kings before he even knew what a diaper was. Best make him know what it means to fight.

Tactile Telepathy
[Standard - 3 Points]
Tres may attempt to enact telepathic abilities through physical contact between his crystalline left hand and the enemies skull. Creatures with no organic brain function or no skull are unaffected by this ability. Telepathic effects are of a moderate ability and may be resisted and removed with sufficient focus and concentration. Tres must activate this ability by making physical contact and establishing a telepathic link (the initial cost), fighting off this connection is possible but only with trained telepathic resistance (or supernatural mental defenses).
[Serenity - 2 Points]
A sweet aroma will waft from Tres's skin as he reaches into the mind of his opponent and implants calming soothing emotions. This will calm any opponent down, reducing their anger level significantly to a state of calm and the advantages that killer instinct bring in combat.
[Turmoil- 3 points]
Tres erects a persistent and incredibly distracting thought in the opponents mind. This thought has no other effect but making it difficult to use abilities that rely on mental calm. Abilities that require the user be calm become more difficult to use unless the opponents spends a moment to focus and destroy that thought.
Thoughts? Nothing I'm thinking of adding any time soon, just a fun idea.

For calming people down, I don't really see it as being useful in an actual fight since there is more than just rage at work. In general in a fight some people kick fight or flight into full gear. If anything detecting a mental attack would make the target become determined to kick the attacker's a**, not fueled by rage or anger.
It is a strong diplomatic tool outside of combat though which is kind of cool.

Hey chaps and chums. I started making an 'Impolite Checklist' of fightstuffs related to another website (mostly for my own amusement to use as a checklist). Tell me if I'm on the right track or if some of these are too subjective.
Suddenly getting stronger Using a single ultimate attack Using another if that one fails Undodgeable Attack! Unbeatable shield! Autohitting/not writing 'attempt' wording Moving faster than the speed of sight Teleporting Breaking out powers and equipment extrapolated from their profile Breaking out powers and equipment not in their profile Doing anything that would endanger the lives of innocent bystanders as a good character when innocent bystanders are around Trying to avoid starting a fight as a good character when against someone blatantly evil Calling in backup (esp. if losing) Mocking your opponent after dodging their attacks Dodge takes half a sentence. Dodge takes 4 words Dodge takes 3 words
The one I'm mostly worried about are the shield one .

The fighting an evil character if good one is kind of eh because if the good is outclassed, or has an intelligence higher than 'reckless' it would be better to fight another day. The setting also matters and the personal vows of the character. Hell this could apply to evil characters as well.
That being said working together without hiccups or issues would be considered a major issue unless the cause is something massive.

Dodge takes 4 words Dodge takes 3 words It's not really necessary to write attempt wording. I mean, it's just assumed that whatever you do may or not work regardless of how you write it out. I think that writing "she attempted to do x" is very passive, and I just don't like it. As for the other things, they're all totally situational. Moving that fast or teleporting could be perfectly fine in the right environment. It may be totally in character for a good guy to refuse to fight the evilest of evil doers. Sometimes dodging something is as simple as using 3-4 words. Really, what's the point of making "stepped to the left" a bigger deal than what it needs to be?

However, I know how gaians hate telepathy but I wonder what they think about Tactile Telepathy.
