It wasn't that confusing, actually. It's the same as shinigami, except with a quincy cross instead of a zanpakuto.

You could just say that you have a sword as a secondary weapon. Or train until you get a Seele Schneider.

Mm, the only problem with Quincy is that they don't have much to do, but hey, that's just my opinion.

They really don't. The plots are mostly based around shinigami and arrancar.
