Well... My designing ability improved again.
I think by this stage, I can reasonably extort.
I'm still getting there with art. The day I get the epiphany on how to shade/highlight properly will be my happiest day... I kind of got hair down regarding that, but I haven't figured out skin entirely yet. And I still need to work on eye highlights. Then the whole headache with clothes.

Be glad, when it comes to making them in a different pose than neutral looking at the screen, I'm at a loss. xD So I can say with certainty that you have more extort-able talents than me. XD

If only graphic designing was valued as much as HQ art. :/ I would be rich on Gaia by now.
Oh well. I'll get the coloring down eventually.

ProtoXtreme Yup!
I couldn't even do hair coloring or any coloring at all before. c: Still progress~! You could do what i did. I'd start with a pre-existing picture. Change the details of it. like hair color, eye color, tattoos, stuff like that and edit it each pixel at a time. ^.^ you can do that to up your skill a little bit. ^.^ you're pretty good as it is from what i saw. but thats what i did to get better at shading and learning to perfect subtle changes. ^.^

I'm thinking of doing that with photography as reference photos. You never, ever want to eyeball someone else's art as an artist. People really flip out over that, and right so. Making good lineart alone can take hours.
So far, I've been managing on just observation alone to improve drawing (but that's how I was able to get sketching down literally by reading a lot of manga/manwha).
My problem right now is trying to transcribe what I can do with the mechanical pencil onto drawing with the IPad which I'm considerably clumsier with the lines. I think it might be partly the problem with my pen too (it's not a nice pen I'm using right now). Maybe I'll upgrade that and see what goes.
I can't do completely traditional media yet because I still suck at coloring. Digital media gives me the luxury of second chances.

I'm pretty jealous of you. I suck at drawing and i can only improve or tweak other peoples work. The only style of drawing that i can truly call my own is landscape drawing and not the normal kind either. I can only draw when i move the pencil back and forth kinda like a printer when it's printing something, I can give depth and shading like that too but only all in one color >.> never tried it with colored pencils yet. I just like the black and white comparison i guess lol

Well, I can't follow the standard methods for drawing/designing. Like all those tutorials and such? Helps zilch.
I end up figuring techniques on my own out.
So yeah, I guess where I'm poor on learning from the experts, I learn by the experts.Nope. I've always been on Photoshop.
I had Photoshop 7 for a couple of years, before eventually getting CS.
Now I'm on Photoshop CC.

Isn't GIMP free?
I like to call Paint Shop Pro the poor man's version of Photoshop. Though, to be fair of PSP, it's supposedly easier to CG art on there.
I hear friends recommend SAI > all because trying to CG something in Photoshop is like pulling teeth... Well, I'm using Procreate on the IPad to teach myself how to color. Partly out of convenience reasons, and partly because the app really is phenomenal.
