After all isn't that what makes humanity? Humans always try to improve on what came before them. They innovate and shape thier own destiny. "Shape their destiny..." Xuza whispered it to herself, coming to nod at the kitsune's words. "Is that really all there is to it?" She was very much loving the idea of being free to choose her own path. She began to smile. All the pain she had felt, it was just so good to hear that she still had a fighting chance.

"Whoa..." Xuza shook the surprise off her face. "Right!" What now? Did she know what she wanted to make. This was just a spur-of-the-moment thing... Then again, there wasn't anything specifying guidelines...
"Um... Kay! Do it!" Xuza thrust her hand out and thought of how she loved to get that decisive blow--things that made her a staple on the fencing scene--not knowing what would happen.

Xuza nodded and chuckled nervously. Honestly, this all seemed to be a little silly to her--at least she felt silly. Her face straightened up again.
Focus... Focus... Xuza thought of that moment: once in time where she was the top competitor to the then champion fencer of the region; she felt that same heat on her lips as on that day when she took her stance and--one... two... exhale--
--Xuza thrust her arm forward some twenty degrees to the left of Ren. A spiraling lance erupted from her hand and reached the far wall of the dome of Chaos. It seemed to tighten as it went, gaining momentum as a finishing blow should. Afterward, the meister snapped her feet together, standing straight with a relieved sigh.
"How's that?"

☸ ☸ ☸Egil Armani Gitsune ☸ ☸ ☸ ☸ The Mad Machina Acting CEO of Gitsune Industries Ren looks at Xuza's construct. Seemed like the manifested weapon was the Chaos lance. Very good for a beginner. Ren applauded her student. Now they just needed to polish her technique for it to be useful in an actual combat situation. Ren snaps and a few targets appear at the opposite end of the arena. Ren summons her own and fires a few. " Well done. When the projectiles are fired or thrown, they home onto their target and impale it violently. Injuries inflicted by this cannot be healed via normal means due to the corruption acting as a powerful suppressant keeping the victim from being able to build or manipulate their energy to a degree for as long as the lances remain. This makes the Chaos Lance especially dangerous to people who relied solely on their abilities and posses no secondary fighting skills. Try to summon them like I have and hit the targets. Take your time.

"Right!" Suddenly triggered, a new-old self took over the miester's unsure countenance and steel'd her resolve for the rest of the day.
She started with the target farthest her on the field. This would be a good test of her range; when she missed, the meister now beheld in the twining history of good and evil barely blinked. This was the way she would proceed for some two hours without stopping.
At the end of it all, now a sore, a knotted lump reaching for a perch on a bench, dripping with the essence of greatness, Xuza had few intelligible words; by the end of that session, she had managed three spires at once.

The Kitsune could see the curse mark evolving to the second stage around the second hour of training. It was then that Xuza was to exhausted to continue. Ren hands her a towel and a water bottle filled with spring water from the Twin Moon Cafe from a bag she'd brought with her. " Very good. Your curse mark has already reached the second stage. As you can see using this power can take a lot out of you. Still I'm impressed with your progress. I'll give you a moment to recover before we move on.

"Thank you..." Needless to say, the meister was quite pleased with herself. She was able to meet her first task head on and did well for herself. Sure, there was probably a lot to learn, but this didn't seem to bother her in this moment. Right now she was perfectly content to stretch,
to feel her muscles work again, and to know that she could make strides in something yet. "Now if I can just teleport again...--then we'd really be working!"
Cicadas filled the air with heat and wicked chirps as the sun reached its zenith. Xuza had drank half her water, deciding to save the rest, and was actually excited to begin the next part of their lesson.

"Right." Xuza nodded and focused her attention like she had before when she used her powers to warp. It had been so easy back then; when she hadn't teleported, counting the awkward moments as she concentrated on a point some fifty meters off, she got the sense that it was not going to be this way for a while in learning to warp again.
"No can do," she said shaking her head and straightening her back fully.
"It doesn't seem to be the same as before," not that she was surprised.
Still, lack of surprise doesn't engender lack of disappointment.

She appears in front of Xuza upside down smiling coyly. " You can't wait for it to work. The Chaos must be controlled. You must belive you will warp and you will warp.

Show off...
"Okay... Be the warp, be warp..." Xuza began chanting to herself; eventually the sound faded into silent concentration as she prepared for her quantum leap. She thought long about how it was that she warped before. Why wasn't that working? She knew it was nothing more than an afterthought before, but the way her teacher talked of it, it seemed that there really wasn't anything to it...
Eventually, she decided to take a lunge...
And another...
And another...
Several lunges later, and the girl finally did it. She warped to the other side of the enclosure as though she was made to teleport--as if the steps of her walking there had been cut out--by some invisible editor of reality's film reel; this was not how it was done before, and it left the meister looking quite startled.

☸ ☸ ☸Egil Armani Gitsune ☸ ☸ ☸ ☸ The Mad Machina Acting CEO of Gitsune Industries Ren feels Egil chuckle at Xuza. The miester had begun chanting some mantra as if it would help. She'd seen spell caster and mystics do the same to help focus. Even she meditated using a similar. The reason it took so long for Xuza was because the chaos needed to get used to circulating without interfering with her soul wavelength. The two opposing energies would form a natural buffer while reducing the stress on her body. Xuza was the first human Ren had done this to for a long while but it seemed she had adapted well. Ren teleports the miester back toward her. " This is a new power to which you are unfamiliar. It might feel different at first, because your body is adjusting itself. You also need to realize you must crawl before you can walk not only physically but also mentally. What was once subconscious must now require conscious thought until you reach a certain level.
