Gatz quickly rolled off the ground, transforming the motion into a spin kick which caught Rioushu across the throat with his left shin. He continued pivoting around his center of gravity while bending his left knee a bit, and bringing his right leg around to heel kick the man in the chin.

Gatz pushed off the mans face to turn his upper body towards him. Meanwhile, the combination of Rio's own forward momentum and Gatz's high kicks started to spin the ninja, turning him sideways. The kung-fu master grabbed onto the man's arm with his left hand, torqing the man further in a rotational motion. He also planted a hand on the man's face, bracing for an impact the noggin would take the brunt of. Soon, both combatants slammed into the ground, Gatz putting some of his body weight on the man's head as they feel. Because of the angle he couldn't put all of it on the man, of course, and he made sure to keep his fingers stiff as they splayed over the man's face so as not to smash his nose into his brain--literally.

The time from when Gatz got up to the time he and Rio hit the ground again was about ten seconds...

"I don't like it when my opponents start to involve other people, especially women," he said, an annoyed tone in his voice. "We have a fight to finish, remember..?"

Gatz noticed the POed look on Aonice's face and chuckled nervously, a slight sweat drop rolling off his head. The short woman looked scary when she was mad. Cute, but scary.

"I'm sorry I stole your chance to vent, Aonice; but he is supposed to be fighting me, after all. Look at it this way--I saved you the bullet."

"So, would you really rather have us take this to the Arena instead? I doubt Rio would object very much if I asked him nicely right now..."

(( confused ..? sweatdrop Complaining because I gave Rio no chance to counter that combo..?))

Morrigan looked on down at Aonice from her perch on top of the roof. "Aonice, dear, if you were offered a taste of the sweetest, juiciest fruit in the world from a man who was about to eat the rest of it, would you not accept that small taste? I had one myself when I won my match with Rio, and now, in seeing the possibility of Gatz doing it as well, I cannot help but watch, therefore securing a taste of the fruit of victory for myself."

She turned away from Aonice to watch Rio, seemingly intrigued by the man. She almost looked amorous. "It's his boasting that makes it so sweet."

((I think that her point is because Rio boast so much, it's even more fun seeing him smacked down like this.))

*Dante glanced to his left as he bent down to press the button that stopped the faucet and started the shower itself. Since the overhead light was on her half of the shower curtain, it was far easier for him to see her than it was for her to see him. Noting this, he wisely turned himself at an angle so that she could not see that which she was trying so hard to gain a glimpse of and reached for the soap.

The way she was staring at him was disturbing to him to say the very least, and as he lathered up he wondered if it was true affection or if she was just trying to score a quick meal. If the rest of the males on the island were like Gatz and Rio, he doubted that either she or Morri had had a notable meal in some time, so it was a plausible assumption. Still he gave her no hint that he was assuming anything, and skillfully planned what questions he would ask her*

"So what was it you wanted to know?"

Felicia got up from the chair and heard all the commotion. Her kitty ears perked up, and she headed towards all the noise. It was a fight, it secretly excited Felicia to see something like this.

((It seems to still be day, the 'Midnight Melee' (Aonice and Morrigan), 'Daybreak Duel' (Rioushu and Morrigan), then finally this one, which I'll dub the 'Afternoon Affray' (Gatz and Rioushu) out of the way, it looks to be mid-afternoon.))
