Having caught up to the others, Caleb couldn't help but overhear the group leader talking to to the other members. Being new, he wasn't too sure what was going on. New base? Team Flare? He'd figure it out eventually.
He couldn't help but wrinkle his nose at the musty smell of the goat pokemon. He just followed along silently, glancing at the pokemon on the other side of the fence every now and then. His Mudkip seemed far more intrigued, but stayed right beside him.

After a few minutes of walking, they reached the ranch. There was a lady dressed in usual ranch attire sitting on a part of the fence that surrounded the ranch. She waved at them as they approached.
"I assume y'all are here to ride some of our Skiddo?" She asked them, a smile on her face.
Maddy returned the smile.
"I wasn't aware we could ride Pokemon here." She said. "I'd be down for that. I own my own Skiddo though. Are there other Pokemon we can ride?"
The girl shrugged. "If you have a rideable Pokemon with you, I don't see why not." She responded. "Just take note that some of the steeper parts of the field can only be reached by an agile Pokemon like Skiddo or Gogoat."
Maddy turned to her companions as she let her Skiddo, Muffin, out of her Pokeball.
"Let's ride around in the fields for a bit."
She then glanced down at Muffin.
"You are... tiny."

Rose's eyes lit up "Riding a Skiddo sounds wonderful, I'd like to give that a try!" she said happily "I didn't know that was an option either."

Michael paroused the little goats until he saw a Gogoat. "Hey y'all want to ride on that one?" All the Pokemon agreed except for Spike, who wanted to run beside them. In his own tongue ghe told the pokemon. "Come on. Run with me!" Squirt just looked at him like he was crazy and the others just shook their heads. "Fine suit yourselves." Michael helped his pokemon up before climbing up himself and steered the Gogoat towards the others.

Allen chuckled, "Do you guys have a PC?" He asked aloud and was pointed to the little machine. It was lowtech compaired to the ones at the Pokemon Centers but it would get the job done. He chuckled, exchanging his Kabutops for the Tauros. "Alright." He stepped through the gate and let the bull Pokemon out of his Pokeball. Knowing a little about Tauros, it would be dangerous just to try to hop on. He slowly approached the Pokemon. He seemed a little uneasy of Allen at first but slowly came around with a little coaxing.
It wasn't long after that Allen was petting him to a positive response. The trainer tested the waters by moving to the bull's side. and slowly putting a little pressure on his back. No response. "Better than nothing." He hopped on. The Tauros made little movement. With just a little more coaxing and movement, the Tauros was walking along. It took a bit, but they were caught up now.

Caleb's Mudkip decided what pokemon his trainer would be riding all on his own. Caleb found the Mudkip, much to his dismay, trying to climb on a Gogoat. Caleb sighed exasperatedly. The Gogoat stared Caleb down for a moment before snorting and shaking its head.
"The sooner we get through this...the sooner all of this is just one bad memory..." Caleb told it. The Gogoat huffed as Caleb scrambled on to its back. The Mudkip clung to Caleb as he got on before sitting down in front.

Maddy settled for a Gogoat like Michael did, not wanting to hurt her Pokemon's back.
Jumping onto the back of her noble steed, she smiled down at Muffin.
"See if you can keep up!"
With that, she drove her heels into Gogoat's side and they took off running, across the field. Muffin followed after, her little body working hard to try and keep up. Maddy made sure that the Gogoat she was riding kept at a reasonable pace so her own Pokemon wouldn't fall behind.
She steered the Pokemon towards the steeper parts of the field. She wanted to experience the view of the area from higher up.

Michael actually went faster then Maddy did by pure accident and was trying not to get thrown off. The Gogoat was heading for the cliffs and Michael nor his pokemon could stop it.

Rose went and got on a Skiddo and followed Maddy and the others. "The only Pokemon I've ever ridden was a Staraptor. This is kinda different, being on the ground, but still nice."

The ride form the Tauros was a little bumpy, but what else would be expected from traveling on the ground. Allen looked around at his teammates. "Full speed ahead!" He talked aloud to his Pokemon while they were running. "The Tauros gave a near battle cry and charged ahead as though it had seen red.

Caleb didn't really care much about speed. He was more worried about staying on his mount. He clung to the goat for dear life as it ran across the field with the others. His Mudkip was enjoying the ride, tongue flying out in the wind. Caleb could only hope the ride would be over soon.

Maddy laughed as Michael shot past her. They started up the hill, Gogoat and Muffin traversing over the steep slope with no problems. They soon reached the top.
Maddy hopped off Gogoat and sat down in the grass. The hill overlooked the ocean on one side and an expanse of forest and barren wasteland on the other side. Coumarine City could also be seen.
Muffin walked over and sat next to her trainer, bleating cutely.
With a sigh, Maddy took out her TADS and started sending out some messages. She was making arrangements for their rooms to be made ready at Coumarine Hotel.
"I guess we can stay a few more minutes and then get going."

"Wow, what a view" Rose said in amazement, gently petting the skiddo she was riding "You did a great job too, getting us here, thank you." she snuggled with the skiddo.

The Gogoat stopped at the top and just let out a loud bleet before sitting down and letting the very dizzy travelers off and begin to chew on the grass. "Hey guys. Let's agree never to do that again. Alright?" All his pokemon just nodded and sat down, which Michael followed suit. As his confusion left him he noticed Maddy and said. "This is a nice view Captain."

Allen nodded to Maddy as she spoke. "Fair enough." He hopped off Wade, the Tauros he finally decided on a nickname for, and patted his side, moving along to rub the Tauros' head between his horns. The Pokemon gave a grateful grunt.
