Hey, that works for him. She could do whatever the hell she wanted to, and chances are, the chimera wouldnt really put up a protest. Wasnt like he was her keeper or something.

So now it was his party. His one man party. But that was cool and all.

First order of business; scratch a spot behind his ear. Because it was itching.

With that deal of business taken care of, he went about his way wandering through the streets. Probably up to no good as usual.
PostPosted: Fri Nov 02, 2007 10:12 pm

BAM! The chimera barged straight into a bar, moving with quick even strides to the counter and taking a seat before looking around the building's interior, scouting over his shoulders as he leaned forward, his back hunching slightly, chin tucked down into the high metal collar around his neck. His massive cleaver left leaning against the counter next to him, haft sticking upwards.

Well, what do you expect of a bar in the day? It was rather empty, nearly devoid of business. However, there were a few people around. Nobody seemed particularily interesting however. At least, thats from his perspective. Seemed that there were a bunch of people in cloaks with hoods drawn up or something, whatever, not his business, maybe they were ugly and didnt like to be seen.

Anyways, yeah, nothing to be expected out of the ordinay from a bar during the day. No normal people were in there, just those sneaky looking people or the usual drunks who are always in the same place of establishment.

"Pint lager." he grunted, snapping his head back around after having finished peering around, catching the barkeeper before they could ask what he wanted.

Oh yeah, booze. Was Tzenidaar an alcoholic? Nope. He was jut a potential alcoholic. Just didnt have the money to be one.

"No, I'm not a religious man, why?" One of the tavern patrons said off to the side while Tzenidaar was enjoying his drink, having just so happened to listen in on the conversation without really realising it.

Whoever the man was conversing with, spoke very quietly. Perhaps this person was religious themself, and did not want to offend the greater powers. Or maybe it involved some sort of illegal deal, y'know, in a shady bar during the day. The chimera didnt know, he wasnt going to turn around and get involved.

"What is this nonsense about a dragon's mouth? I wouldnt want to get anywhere near one. And I already said I'm not a religious man, so stop telling me about a place between heaven and hell, I dont care." the man cut back in with an angry tone, "Go preach your prophecies to someone who cares and leave me be to my drink."

There was a shifting sound, like heavy clothe. He figured it must have been one of those cloaked figures which was talking to the man quietly. The door opened, spilling daylight into the room for a breif moment before the door closed.

Well, something sounded interesting enough for the chimera. not like he was doing much himself anyway, and this place seemed boring anyway.

He put the little money he had down on the counter to pay for his drink, and left, grabbing that massive cleaver with him to chase after something which seemed interesting. Or rather, very much lucritive. Because secret deals were generally like that.

Now lets see, cloaked figure, where are you...
PostPosted: Thu Nov 15, 2007 10:31 pm

oh, there we go, just a little ways down the street. Didnt take much time to catch up on the cloaked figure that moved sort of slowly.

"Oi!" He swung a hand down, clasping onto the cloaked figure's should to halt them just as he spoke.

The sense of touch was something that could tell a lot about someone when sight was rather lacking. Lacking visual details, the chimera would rely on his hand to tell him about who this person was. So with the cloak on, the person underneath it did not wear armour, or so he would assume with the lack of any hard surface. The shoulder itself seemed rather slender. Not surprisingly, it was a woman who he was talking to.

Not just any normal woman though, this one was weird, as he soon figured out when she turned to face him. Skin and hair like a ghost's; eyes like mirrors. Creepy.

"Hmm?" a soft tone questioned him.

He took a moment to collect himself, nice to know he wasnt the only freakshow around, and that some people may be worse off than him. "I overheard your conversation in the bar," lies, his hearing wasnt that good, and he only heard the drunkard bambling loudly in respose, "I'm interested to know what thats about." Hopefully, loot and adventure. Because adventure is definately not boring, and loot is quite lucritive.

The woman smiled gently yet mischivously and leaned close, whispering in his ear;

"Find the dragon's maw between heaven and hell, and step through on the hour of darkest night. There you will find the salyer of gods."

And with that, she stepped away from him and headed off again. Tzenidaar was glad he didnt follow, because from around the corner, another similar cloaked figure appeared to join this one; only the second stood over eight feet tall, and he had caught a glimpse of the same ghost-like features beneath the drawn hood before they disappeared around the bend in the street.

Okay, so there wasnt just one freak, there were two.

As for what the woman told him... well, he didnt feel like thinking right now, and it sounded like something which took a lot of thinking to understand and decipher. Put that information away, and wander off. Should probably get more money to hit the bar again. He was too sober at the moment.

Dark Conspiracy
After a few moments of watching Aleina's reaction, Madison too also started to laugh with Alice, that was definitely way too cute for words. The older rabbit soon turned to where Aleina was and grinned even more widely.

"There's a very nice stand located on the corner of main street" Madison quickly began to skip ahead, excited that she knew some vegetable were going to be coming their way to enjoy.

Aleina and Alice followed Madison through Latent's bustling streets until they came to the corner with the produce stand. Stocking up on some choice carrots and iceberg lettuce, and some other select veggies.

"There NOW we have everything. Let's head to the docks and see when the next vessel to Dar'n'ak is."

Aleina would lead both bunnies, while carrying their provisions down to latents docks. Not terribly far from the floating market, but far enough when you're trying to steer a younger woman and a little girl who seem to get distracted by every bit of flash and shine they see. Yet they arrived at the docks, the creak and groan of hulls as waves splashed against listing ships filled the air, accompanied by a chorus of gulls squawking overhead.

They stopped at an office near the harbour gates and stepped inside.

"We'd like to purchase passage on a ship chartered to Dar'n'ak please."

The older woman stated mater'o'factly to the desk clerk. The weather worn old man looked at the three of them curiously and took a puff of his pipe.

"Y'three seem like an unlikely adventuring trio... lets see what we have."

Alice ignored the remark, apparently unwilling to gossip about their business, and Aleina followed her lead. After all, fisher folk were terrible gossips!

"The S.S. Ulysses sets sail in 3 hours time, it makes port in Dar'n'ak before continuing on. Dock twenty eight... Captain Harlin sails her."

"Thank you. Have a good day sir."

"Aye, smooth sailing lassies."

They left the office and headed down the row of docks,

"Number twenty eight--"
PostPosted: Sat Nov 24, 2007 12:41 am

As they walked passed each numbered dock, Madison had been bouncing the entire way down. Her hair bounced about as she moved, some of the other dock crew seemed to be rather worried that she was going to break the boards as they could hear her boots pounding rather forcefully against them.

"One...Two...Three...Four...Five!" She loudly counted as they passed every pillar. Madison quickly stopped to see one of the Seagulls quickly flutter over head and she focused on it for quite a long time. She didn't get to see one of those when she sailed to Guldor many years ago. It was something new, something different.

"What is that?" She pointed up at it with her gloved index finger standing out. A man from the side had then moved closer to her and he smiled at her slightly with a faded eye patch over his eye, he was a rather fishy character. Mainly for the smell of salt water, and fish flutter about.

"That be a Gull, ain't ye see one of those before?" His response caused the young rabbit to lower her arm and smile at him in a rather naive manner.

"NOPE!" The man chuckled loudly as he could see definitely that she was different. Madison adjusted her glasses slightly as she continued to gaze up at it. That was a very interesting creature....very different indeed.

Bessy Bovine's Quality Steakhouse.

The warrior's long green ponytail found it's way coming to a stop just in front of the place, stopping at the sight of a familiar sign out front and an ungodly delicious smell coming from inside. The scent was of fresh-grilled steak, and the enticing sign out front was a reminder of the all-you-can-eat steak challenge that had been temporarily revoked after a certain man in a bomber jacket nearly ate the steakhouse into the red and was banned from ever returning.

Fortunately for Sakura, she had never been here before, at least as far as the staff knew. And so she strode in confidently if not too obviously, standing around quietly and waiting to be seated. She worried slightly that carrying around three different weapons would be a giveaway (or a security risk) but considering the state of the greater Gaia area these days, nobody seemed to give a damn.

The woman gave her waitress a quick smile and a "thank you" as she was seated, finally getting around to unzipping her jacket. In cold weather like this, layered clothing was a necessity, and the woman had it in spades. At least one thermal shirt, and two t-shirts on top just in case, not to mention the jacket she had just put at her side.

The relaxing squeak of leather behind her gave way to thinking about everything that had been happening recently. It certainly didn't help that she was forced to lie low to let things blow over, but it was all probably for the best - it's what she told herself, anyways, ordering (what else) the all-you-can-eat steak offer, and getting a suspicious look in the process. It was a good thing most people on Gaia had never heard of a photo ID or she would have high-tailed it out of there faster than a demon in a church.

Still, it was only fair that she be allowed to come back here in the future, so she made it a point to only eat three, maybe four steaks tops, resting her head against her right fist as she chewed and staring blankly at the opposite wall as people came and went. Something was lacking lately, something fun, something interesting. For someone who had been through so much, even recently, just felt like the boring was starting to eat away at her.

Several juicy steaks later, her jacket was back on her shoulders as she left the money on the table as well as a generous tip. "My regards to the chef," she added as she stepped outside, feeling as though she had just made a few new friends who had no idea what her true identity was. At any rate, she decided to wander the city for a while. Latent was still an unknown land in many ways, and it certainly wouldn't hurt to go for a stroll and stretch her legs.

"Golly"

Kitty was hopeless. Not only was Latent overly busy with the whole HoH business, but everything else just seemed to go to a standstill. The crimson haired minx was just annoyed and confused. She'd been sure this was where...

...where...

...something had supposed to have happened here, she thought as she reached down and touched a spot in the ground, her crimson hair brushing the ground as her hands did, sweeping around her body and cocooning her from the world as she absorbed the feeling.

Why didn't it happen? She thought. It was mine...My moment...but it's gone. Everyday she came back here, certain she'd just gotten the day wrong. But it was always the same. The moment she touched this spot, the feeling was gone, bubbling happily away and it frustrated her to no end, but she didn't know what to do about it.

She pushed the hair back from her face and looked around again. Mama was going to send her to the special doctors again if she knew about this. And papa had wanted to send her to that special research facility, but she refused to go alone. Maybe she should just go and get that ice cream she'd given her mother as an excuse to get out. Her parents worried more and more about her every day and it was only a matter of time before she became trapped in that home, not even able to go to college.

Outside HoH
~~~~~~~~~
"Hey, George. What's up?"
"Huh?" The man looked up, completely frustrated and frazzled. Not only had two of his cameras all but blown up on him, he was clearing out the whole programing on other with this disaster level static charge. "Don't come near me or your equipment will get fried" Which got them to stay further back.
"What's the story with that little redhead?"
"That's Fae Decker. But she's my story."
"Well, you don't have pictures. But I do. I'll share the byline if it's big enough."
George pushed his fingers through his hair. "She's married to Dante Decker, and ex fiancee of Enki Leviathan and currently in the arms of an unknown fighter from a Team at HoH and participated last year herself."
"Okay...not sure why that's anything big unless it's for one of those tabloids."
"It's not really. But she's also the one who took my eye." The other reporter's eyes widen.
"That tiny thing?"
George just nodded, "I want my revenge."
"Well, I can have this in the gossip section in two hours. Ours is the most talked about gossip magazine on Gaia." He owed George a few, and bashing a little woman's reputation wouldn't be a bad way to do it as far as he was concerned.
George nodded and smiled evilly. "And you don't even have to share credit with me." Actually, it'd cover his a** anyways not to have his name on it.
As Tellus left the Crimson Hawk, she was accompanied by her two children. However unwilling she may be, she wouldn't hurt them for anything. But it didn't mean she wouldn't struggle.
"James! Gabrielle! Let me go!" She didn't quite yell however as she tried to jerk her arms free from their grip as they 'kidnapped' her.
The auburn leather clad boy shook his head. "Something's gone wrong with you. We're going to fix it."
The girl concurred, pushing her frames up on her face. "Stop struggling so much or people are going to wonder what the Leviathan family is up to, mama." They couldn't see the illusion that was laid over Tellus at the moment. It had been designed that way.
"I have to get back to Ra'kar!" She growled as they got out of the way of most people who were crowding into the hotel, not out.
"No."
Both spoke in unison, and tightened their grip. Tellus didn't like it. She'd wanted a happy reunion with her children, but she could see now that it wasn't meant to be. She'd give them one more chance.
Hobbling along as he was prone to Quin pulled down the brim of his hat with a sigh. He did it not to conceal himself or to hide from anyone but himself; being one with a crowd sickened him where he once amused himself with being able to sink from sight in the hustle and bustle.
Putting one leg forward and dragging the other behind he walked with his cane, tapping out a rhythm all of his own. He didn't have much; but he was working on fixing things. Already he had sent the deplorable wretch of an associate of his on an errand to deliver a gift.
He was going to remind people of who he was in due time.
But then his thoughts were thrown and dashed at the sound of a word, Ra'kar. Just the person he had sent Aziz to find. This gave him pause and his gaze was locked onto the mouth that spoke it. And from there he saw a sight that was amusingly odd.
Crossing their path he stopped.
"May I be of assistance?"
His words were spoken in general though he looked only at Tellus.
PostPosted: Sun Jan 27, 2008 10:46 pm
Tellus looked from her children, to the stranger. She was of a mixed mind. She was grateful for the interruption, but she wasn't sure what the stranger was capable of, and she didn't want her children hurt.
"I...uh..." Then she thought about what those 'children' were capable of, all on their own, and she sighed, speaking to Quinn. They released her, because they didn't want to be seen starting a scene when everyone knew the Leviathan name.
"I think things are okay now...aren't they?" She glared at her children, and in the presence of a stranger and the manners that Tellus and Fae had managed to instill in them, they behaved, although they weren't happy about matters.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah..." James muttered.
"You still owe us time..."
Tellus sighed at Gabrielle. "Yes, I do. And I will after a bit. You both need to cool your tempers." She'd forgotten Quinn was there, and slipped into her mother role. "If you think you can both behave, I'll meet you for dinner tonight." They nodded, still grumpy, James going so far as to glare at Quinn.
"Fine. But it's not over." And he grabbed Gabi's hand and stormed off.
"I'm sorry..." Tellus' blushed faintly but it went away. "Thank you though. You're appearance got them to behave at least."
Quin had kept his peace after his first words, letting them handle themselves as he just stood watch. Even when glared at he would only politely smile, courtesy still had its uses.
"It is no problem at all. The youth these days can be wild and prone to excitement."
Stepping closer he rest his right hand on her shoulder so as to reassure her that all was right, a very personal move on Quin's part; but he could be a touchy sort at times.
"The name is Quin, and it is a pleasure to meet you and it seems I only got here within time or you'd be driven half mad. Is there anything else I can do to help you?"
PostPosted: Sun Jan 27, 2008 10:59 pm
Tellus startled slightly. She wasn't used to having people touch her. She was more likely to touch. She actually craved touched, which is why her children touching her hadn't panicked her so much. It was more the idea of being taken away from Ra'kar.
"They mean well, but they are....well, to be honest, brats." But she was smiling as she said it. But when he asked if there was anything else he could do, she shook her head.
"I don't think so..." She glanced down, she still had the pendants in her hand. How had the children seen through the illusion without them? But that was a puzzle for another day.
"I should probably head back. She'll be expecting me." Not really, she'd been given several hours with which to visit her children, but since she wasn't meeting them until dinner, she might as well head back. She knew as much as anyone the trouble she could get into.
Quin just nodded his head and smiled as he slowly began to direct her in the direction to a bar near by; because bars were like starbucks ,they were every where. Of course the pace was slow with Quin's limp and he as leaning on her a bit.
That closeness gave him a chance to whisper something to her though.
"She, wouldn't happen to be Ra'kar by any chance?"
He wasn't going to go further tell he had a response and could properly weigh her words; but he had put a large bet into his question. But what the hell, a man with little will gamble anything on slim odds.
