*Much as expected, nothing has changed at the tavern other than it seems to be very clean and dust free. She sees Aykon with smoke staring at the ceiling and then he looks over as the door opened. Seeing Nikki, he smiles.*

She walks over to the bar and takes a seat there, smiling to Aykon.

She looks up to the ceiling to see what, if anything was there that held your attention so well.

Joey takes a seat at the bar next to Nikki, draping his arm around her waist and smiling to Aykon.

*Aykon waves to his old friend and then bows gently to them as they take a seat. When he hears Nikki's question, his face seems to be calm but his eyes seem lost.*
Things haven't been good Nikki...not at all...in fact...I am going away. But I won't be coming back like I used to...
*His words seem heavy as he says them.*

No time may pass on earth while I am here, but time passes in my mind and the longer I stay here, the more disconnected I feel from Earth. As for the tavern... I put it up for sale and it was bought two days later. Mostly everyone left...Rhodes left me and decided to marry someone else, Synge is moving on, Fire is has another place to go...you are the only one left.

Her eyes start to tear up at hearing all of this. Her family broke up and moved on to their own separate ways without her even knowing it. She sits for a minute, letting it all sink in. When she does finally speak her voice is watery.
I understand Aykon. I don't like it, but I understand. It seems I've been blind to things going on around here. When did this all happen?
She laughs somewhat bitterly. Here, once again things were falling apart in her life. At least this time she wouldn't have to set out alone in her travels to find something new. She slips her arm around Joey and squeezes him lightly.
I guess I don't need to ask your permission for a period of leave from work then after all, huh?
