The flash of light disoriented Michael and his team as they arrived in Shalor City. As they headed for the route he pulled out his sketch pad and began to draw again. His Pokemon guiding him behind Maddy.

Not only was Caleb temporarily blinded, the sudden Teleport had left him a bit green in the face. He took his glasses off and rubbed at his eyes. His Mudkip was startled for a moment, but was grinning again soon after. The Togepi squinted from Caleb's backpack before burrowing back inside.

Caleb put his glasses back on as his eye began focusing again. "That was...pleasant..." he muttered to nobody in particular. He heard shouting of Muks but didn't quite catch anything else from that. He was standing on a path with a group of people. He could only suppose that following them would help lead him to another city or town right? At least then he could ask for directions or figure out where he was.

With permission granted to go out and find herself another Pokemon, Rose and her Azuril wandered off in search of an opponent, and Rose called out her Meowth to search as well. Her Meowth wandered off in it's search, but Azuril stayed near her trainer thinking that would keep her safe.

It wasn't going to be that simple, because despite Meowth's patrol, they came upon a Mareep first, which was caught off guard, not expecting their arrival and out of fear attacked the closest target with a thunderbolt. The Super-effective hit made Rose's shiny Azuril faint just before Meowth could get back to them "Meowth, use Pay Day" Rose ordered, recalling Azuril to it's pokeball as Meowth was throwing coins (PD +250).

After getting hit by the coins, Mareep attacked with a wild charge, striking Meowth and leaving the cat Pokemon paralyzed because of its static ability. Realizing it was paralyzed, Rose sent out her Fletchling and called Meowth back to her Pokeball. "Fletchling, Overheat" Rose ordered.

Fletchling obeyed and kept out of range of Wild Charge, but not out of range of Thunderbolt.Mareep endured the Overheat, but Fletchling fainted because of the Thunderbolt.

Rose thought about her remaining Pokemon, Skrelp, Froakie, and Eevee. It appeared she had not brought a good team to battle this electric type. Her Eevee, with it's physical attacks were vulnerable to static, so she sent out Skrelp and called back Fletchling."Sludge Bomb" Rose ordered, thinking to weaken Mareep with Poison before Mareep used Wild Charge Again. Skrelp fainted, but the poison seemed to be successful. Rose called back Skrelp and sent our her Proteon Froakie.

"Dig underground" Rose ordered. Mareep was looking Raged and Rose thought one more hit should do it. Froakie disappeared underground, dodging the attack. Mareep stopped, looked around, then was struck from underneath and was thrown into the air.

Upon striking the ground again, Rose threw a Pokeball at Mareep,which was drawn inside.

Mareep's Pokeball was sent to her Pokemon storage and Rose recalled her Froakie then started heading back to meet the others, though after barely five steps she had to kneel and pick up an unused Pokeball that her Meowth had found and dropped on it's way to try and protect Azuril.

Putting the pokeball in her pocket, Rose rejoined the others.

"Oh hey, you're the new member, right?" Allen turned to the new member to shake his hand. "Nice to meet you, name's Allen." He grinned before turning back to the mission at hand. "Fight a Pokemon on the route... Neida, gimme some help." He tossed her Pokeball up in the air, revealing the Whimsicott. She jumped up, grasping his shoulder and pulling herself into a position to look out.

There was a rumbling and a loud cry that caused Allen to whip around to find a Tauros charging him, "GAH N-NEIDA Stun Spore!" He called at the last second, jumping out of the way. The little Cotton Pokemon hopped up, shooting out a cloud of paralysis inducing spores for the Tauros to run through. The charging Pokemon skidded to a halt on the other side of the cloud and whipped around to stare down Allen and Neida. It dug it's hooves into the ground and whipped its own rear preparing to charge but when it tried, it locked up and fell onto it's side. "Good job." He called out to his Whimsicott, "Now, Giga Drain!"

The little grass fairy Pokemon put it's arms up and cried out, green bulbs of energy sprouted from the paralyzed Tauros and were drawn towards Neida's body. But like magic, the Tauros pulled himself from the ground, temporarily free of the grips of the status effects. It lowered it horns and jabbed them hard into the Whimsicott's small body. She bounced away from the force of the attack, raising an arm to suck more energy from the Tauros, "Don't make it faint!" Allen called to his Pokemon. The trainer pulled a Heal Ball from his bag and tossed it, hitting the Tauros square in the side.

The ball sat there for a moment before teleporting away to his PC in a quick flash. He grinned and puled up his little Pokemon, to place her on his shoulder. "You don't look too hurt. You gonna be alright?" She nodded and gave a chipper cry, taking place attached to his shoulder. With that, the Aquan returned to the group.

Caleb blinked a bit as a woman in front stopped everyone and started talking about catching pokemon. Well he only had three pokemon, so he might as well catch a new friend. The other three wouldn't be much help without a little backup. Caleb started forward only to be stopped by one of the guys of the group introducing himself. New member? The messages from before made everything a little more clearer to him.

"Caleb..." he said quietly with a nod as the guy shook his hand. He was slightly embarrassed at the misunderstanding. He didn't really have much time to stay embarrassed though as a bull pokemon came charging in his general direction. He ran quickly into a patch of flowers, his expression blank and his face pale. It didn't seem like he was interested in catching one of those at all. Nope.

Caleb's Mudkip companion was now distracted by the flowers they were in, and started moving away to explore. It was intrigued by a rustling sound and moved deeper into the flowers. Noticing his pokemon wandering off, Caleb was quick to follow. He definitely didn't want to get separated.

He caught up just in time to catch his Mudkip spitting water in the face of a wild Heracross. "You're supposed to wait for me to give you orders..." Caleb reminded the mud fish pokemon. His little blue friend just wagged it's tail fin in response before tackling the beetle. Caleb rolled his eyes a little before throwing a poke ball at the bug. After catching it, he backtracked to find the others. He definitely didn't want to get left behind.

Allen chuckled, "The Skiddo at this place are really great." He grinned, looking out over the fields where the little Pokemon stayed. "It's been forever since I've been out here though." A nostalgic sigh escaped him before he picked up the pace to stick with the group.

Rose smiled at the Gogoat "Hello, I'm Rose, we wont hurt ya." she said cheerfully, then looked at Maddy "I'm following you."
