Orion relaxed as Xuza began to explain. With every word he nodded, and towards the end he had an expression that said he knew something that Xuza might not have known. That change in his expression came around the time Xuza brought up string theory. Orion was living proof that string theory wasn't just a theory anymore. Though very few people knew that. His expression only lasted for a few seconds before he tapped a finger on his chin thinking.

"So what you're saying is, basically, that either in a past life or in a glimpse of the future you've seen what you are capable of doing with these wings, and eventually you'll not only be able to manipulate space, but time as well as other dimensions," Orion nodded slowly. "Would you say that your electromagnetism comes from a dimension with a dense electromagnetic field as an atmosphere, or would you say it's more of a side effect from being able to travel through space the way you can?" Orion's mind rifled through what Xuza had said and slowly began piecing together various hypotheses, be they true or false, that would help him make sense of where her abilities came from. His eyes lit up slightly.

"Are your wings from a separate dimension than you?" Orion asked his question rather quickly. If the answer was yes, then maybe Orion wasn't completely out of place. Even if it was just her wings that came from somewhere else, that still meant that part of her at least was from a different dimension. That was relate-able enough to put his nerves at ease.

So many questions! It was as if Xuza was looking into the past, a mirror a year and a half old, if you will, as Orion went on. A smile came with that thought. A hand came to brace her face as she tilted her head slightly to the side and nodded with the boy's half-question-half-musing. This was the same look scientists had when they compared notes; Xuza, being the studious girl she was, always having a softspot for the "Art of Truth"--as she called it--was carried off by the same wild and carefree winds which lifted Orion's spirit now. It was the voice of inspiration, the whipping breath of each upward inflection: Inquiry an sich.

"Umm, wow," said the meister with a chuckle, stepping forward a little--just kind of meandering as she thought it out. "I don't know if I would say that. Let's just say that I've seen it done before by someone else." Complicated issue that was. "Although... I've been told by a friend I made some kind of, um, switch? The and that is me was replaced momentarily by a future iteration of myself." She raised her sword, casually pointing to it and mouthing, "Yeah?" before coming at Orion leisurely. No reason they couldn't at least keep moving.

"But, yeah," she rejoined, "I feel pretty confident I'll be able to do some pretty out-of-this-world stuff fairly soon." She tossed a self-assured wink to the boy she now saw as a full-on collaborator.

"I wouldn't say it comes from a dimension at all; I think it is a dimension, an aspect of what we know to be waking reality, though not as easy to observe as the first three dimensions." A thought occurred to her then. Especially as he went on with his next question.

"I don't think they're from a different dimension than me..." Boy was curious. He'll eventually stumble on it. She would take it as it came. "Umm, I don't know if we have the same definition of 'dimension,'" she said pivoting out of the way of some strike. "Most people who say that come from a place called the Netherworld. Most of them are demons or witches."

"... Is that what you are?" She was really trying not to react negatively toward the thought, but it was getting the best of her, and a little bit of that came out in her speech as a cold, almost robotic twinge to an otherwise warm and personable chasis.

"That sounds complicated indeed," Orion smirked as Xuza began moving again, readying his sword with his right hand, left hand remaining limp at his side, waving slightly in the wind as he moved. "It's true that our definitions of dimensions are most likely different. Er.... More like I used the wrong term." Orion paused for a moment, slightly confused by what Xuza had asked. Is he a demon, or a witch? The thought almost made him laugh. Instead, all he did was softly shake his head and smile. He jumped back and allowed his sword to rest horizontally in front of him for a moment.

"No, I am no demon. Nor am I a witch. There is no need to be on edge,"[/teal] Orion raised his limp left hand above his sword. After drawing a stiff, quick line with the sword in the air, he dropped his hand to form a perpendicular cross where his sword had been. From those two lines came two crescent shaped ripples similar to what he had attacked Chae with before, one being horizontal, the other being vertical. "I was just so used to discussing separate dimensions by referring to places existing in separate spaces. I never took the time to consider the correct term to use in this situation would be 'between space,'" regardless of whether Xuza would dodge his attack or take it head on, Orion followed with a bolt of electricity from his hand.

"Allow me to explain. My theory had been that your wings existed at the same time as you, but not always in the same place. Rather, until you open them, they reside within between the folds of space. Preventing us from seeing them all the time, while still adhering to the laws of space-time that exist in a relativistic context, meaning that they would still be affected by time as it is tied to the three-dimensions of this space." Orion would feel the brunt of an attack from Xuza, skidding back a few feet before charging for her, sword drawn. "However, now I don't believe that is the case, as you've stated the opposite," Orion finished his rant, but he wasn't finished thinking. Part of what Xuza had mentioned involved swapping places in time, not just space.

He couldn't help but get the feeling that the reality they were perceiving here was a subject to time dilation, but he couldn't be sure. Orion knew full well that the laws of space-time weren't exactly set in stone. For all he knew, relative time didn't work the same here as what he thought. Maybe time was non-relativistic after all, and moved completely separate to the dimensions of this world. "By the way, what exactly is the Netherworld?"

Xuza Uriel: "Angel of Death"

(lol No, it's all coherent to me--maybe "within between," but that's a freebie. c: )

Xuza easily dodged Orion's attacks, making a small jump out of the way of the first attack via her warping and a second jump informed by a little anticipation to dodge the lightning. She called it the "two-step."

"Well, I'm not ruling out a proxy dimension, but--oh my God I'm speaking English with someone!--but I don't think that could've been the case when you look at how I got them." The two were trading blows now, relaxed but definitely getting a feel for each other's styles. Orion had a complex yet simple enough way of going about things which made Xuza focus up more than her proud, overbearing side might like to admit readily, and Xuza had simply raw technique and finesse directed at the most direct way of picking apart an opponent's offense or defense. She tried her best to keep Orion in her square so as not to let his hard-to-read style get the best of her, but it went without saying these two were going to have minor bruises at the end of this friendly match.

"You sure know your stuff, stranger," Xuza teased. "Just wish you were here about a year ago when I was scared out of my mind and had to study to make sure I wouldn't fall through the ground randomly." Truth: she was very much prone to all that before the upgrade--one of two.

"The Netherworld is a 'dimension' where demons, witches, and all sorts of things that aren't exactly human live. We kind of have a relationship with them because of the school's partnership with the DMA, a school devoted to training just witches and demons and such, but yeah." She did that a lot. Just ended her thoughts with those two words which signaled that if she kept going she would risk repeating herself and lose the attention of whomever she might be speaking to.

"They call it a different dimension--which I'm happy you know is a misuse of the term--" she chuckled --"so I thought I'd ask if you might be from there, since ninety-nine percent of those from a 'different dimension' are actually just demons or whatever." She was floating around now, showing a bit of her power after having warped around sufficiently. She used her EM powers to guide her sword over to Orion, fighting him remotely just for the hell of it.

"So... Let me just tell you--since you're so curious, I mean." Might as well. It'll be less painful if she does it herself. Besides, she was working on being an adult about it. That meant talking about those things, dredging up those memories, without throwing a fit; one needn't turn into a crying baby at every que--no matter how subtle--in order to show the world they were indeed still human. "I was cursed by a witch." She said pointing with her head toward her right wing. "These things are just kind of a part of my life now. Suffice to say some pretty nasty stuff went down before I was left with them, but now they're also my biggest asset... Funny how that works."

Orion bowed down to avoid one of Xuza's remote attacks, his body beginning to feel somewhat tired from the blows he had received. He blocked another attack as he stood back up, but he looked as if he were having fun. Xuza's style of fighting was a lot more aggressive than what Orion had thought it would be. "You know, I take back what I said before. This is definitely not how I thought you would use a rapier," he joked, gathering a ball of electricity in his hand and throwing it up in the air towards the winged meister. Should the ball hit, it would expand and envelop her in an electrical sphere that would bombard her in electrical damage for a few moments (1 post).

"Well, I would have been here sooner, but I was still learning some things, and practicing my teleportation. If I didn't, I could have gotten myself caught in some weird places," Orion continued as he attempted to balance managing Xuza's onslaught and firing long range shots of electricity and the crescent shaped ripples in space towards the airborne female. Orion had never been in a situation where he had to train against an opponent who was essentially in two different places before. It was definitely catching him off guard. He did take careful note that she seemed more focused whenever they were engaged in direct combat. Perhaps she hadn't seen a style like his before?

For the first time since Orion began training with these two, he disappeared, leaving a loud popping noise in his wake, louder than either of the two from yesterday. Oh! He also left his sword behind. His amalgamation had happened during one of his clashes with Xuza's rapier. However, not from a moment ago. In fact, ever since Xuza began holding her rapier using her electromagnetic control, Orion had overlapped two different spaces. One being where he stood, the other being on the ground a few feet behind where Xuza had stopped. You had to hand it to him, for someone who had been preoccupied with a conversation about one of the finer points of physics, he was at least coherent enough about the surrounding area to pick out a point to jump to. Throw the remote battle he had been having with Xuza's rapier on top, and you had a boy who was a lot more adept in combat than most people would realize.

After he had teleported behind Xuza, Orion had clasped his hands above his head and began to drop his arms down to his sides, an arc of electricity forming above him and spread from one hand to the other. As the arc grew longer, buds of electricity began to form, five to be exact, along the curved current. Once these buds had grown rapidly to each have diameter of approximately 6 inches, they fired. Five powerful bolts of electricity shot forth, racing in Xuza's direction. Orion knew that she would most likely be able to move out of the way before any of them reached her, but it was the best chance he had at getting her back onto the ground. "I can see why you would have mixed emotions about me if I turned out to be a witch, I'm sorry you had to experience that," regardless of the moment, his voice was still calm, but softer now.

In Orion's eyes, Xuza was a kind person. Whether that be from only knowing so little about her or because that was her personality, he wasn't entirely sure. And to think that someone as kind as her had gone through such an event, it didn't sit right with him. If demons and witches were the type of beings who enjoyed causing pain to good people... They truly must be monsters. A sigh escaped Orion's lips, his entire demeanor deflating from exhaustion. "I've never had to split my attacks between two different places before. It really takes a lot out of a guy," he said, sitting down. Orion had already used a bunch of stamina. First with the Beccata di Rondine that he had used on Chae earlier, and just now with his teleportation. If he continued on, he would have been completely drained in no time.

"I think I'm going to take a bit of a breather, would you mind stepping in, Chae?" He turned his head to look at her as he asked, his light blue eyes revealing just how close to empty he really was. There was still some training he would need to do if he wanted to reach the same level as these two. Fourth year students at this academy were frightening indeed. Orion lowered his upper body backwards until he was laying on the ground, lifting one of his hands and resting it on his bare chest showing through the hole Xuza had put in his shirt. He needed to rest a bit and build his stamina back up. He was somewhat curious as to whether the two females would want to continue training after he had rested, or if they would rather call it quits for the day.

I'm gonna pull Orion out and let you two take a turn together, have fun! Let me know whenever you're ready for him to jump back in.

Chae had taken a seat, when they switched, falling silent as she relived her memories, the pain, mostly the pain was all she remembered. It was such a despondent day where no matter how you looked at it, there would never be an upside to it. 'Remember Chae, when you grow up to live the life YOU decide, don't let anyone choose how you live right papa? hmmm? oh yes.' the sound of her mother and fathers voice echoing through her thoughts. She closed her eyes, a stream of tears falling from both as she reminisced over her last day with her family. 'Alright sweetie, you have to take care of everyone and find a husband that papa would like, you know how he gets hahaha' the sound of her mothers chuckle stinging her ears. They were sweet sounds that she'd never get to hear again, soft touch of a mothers embrace she'd never feel and the tight grip of her father tending to his young. Chae had points where she thought it would be easier to have forgotten her memories of a family, forgetting about the ones she called eomma and papa but that would be even more painful then remembering.

Wiping her face she looked back at the fight. Each of them had such an interesting set of abilities, given the similarities but the variation was impressive. "Such diversity" she whispered. Looking back at it, Xuza was also a fourth year but she'd never seen Xuza at school, perhaps she was always on the other side or area or perhaps their missions were always around the same time. 'Does she have a partner?' she thought to herself, it was strange for another meister to go through DWMA without having a partner even for Chae, so meeting someone else who might not have seemed even more strange. 'Orion on the other hand, I would have noticed someone like that but he seems way to 'new' to be from death city. Maybe he's a first year... but even for a first year aren't his abilities a little to refined... what an interesting guy' she nodded to herself, these thoughts present as she continued to watch. At this point it seemed that they favored different combat styles from herself, Chaes being mid - long range where the other two seemed more adept at closer range, or well, more adept than she was herself.

"Oh. Sure." she nodded, her demeanor shifting back to her combat mode. She'd have to rely on her wit and quick reflexes if she wanted to fight against one of them and would have to treat the spar as if it were a real battle if it came down to a three way deadlock. Walking out a little from the wall she placed on hand on her hip, the other out in front of her, palm towards the ground. As she clenched her fist, spheres of water began to form around her which then thinned out and made several hops around her frame, each at a different distance, the inner being a half a meter from her, the outer 2 meters. Chae smiled as the rings began to circulate, her frame relaxing. "Alrighty."

Xuza Uriel: "Angel of Death"

User Image

Xuza was definitely feeling it. The burn, that is. She wasn't in as good of shape as Orion--probably; it was difficult to gauge something like that from the outside--for us--simply because it might have been a strain for him to move around in this world. More data needed. Xuza, however, wasn't aware of any of that. All she knew was that she was thankful her technique lowered the force of Orion's strikes and that her style didn't really demand cardio. She was good to go, but her forearms would probably be ringing tomorrow.

Orion's first attack had its desired effect, leaving her to suffer minor shocks for a while. She winced. It was this way with most electrical attacks, the wings seeming to have a will of their own and a voracious appetite to match. But, just as before, they absorbed the electricity, culled it around in a big field, now made more dense by the latest contribution.

"Hrrk! ...Thanks," said the meister opening the one eye she'd closed in the aforementioned wince. "Though, to be fair, this is considered the only way to use one by my family." A smirk now. "You're not so bad yourself."

"Now that I can relate to," said the meister flicking her sword at the new boy. "I got to this world completely by accident. The timeline I came from was completely different. For instance..."

The match was heating up again. Xuza had to do something quickly. For whatever reason it wasn't that easy to keep track of a fellow teleporter. She made a note of that. The warp itself caught her off, but it was the next part that worried her. She scrambled, flying backward and warping a good distance away. When she saw the attack was pursuing her, Xuza knew it wasn't time to rest yet.

Eventually she figured it was no use running. These spheres were just going to keep coming. She had an idea. Desperately, she gathered the electricity clinging to her and stood her ground, using some of her resin to propel a small EMP outward in all directions. It was her hope that the field would reject the incoming energy...

"Whew!" Regardless, Xuza was a little singed up after the fight. Her nerves were a little jittery, but that was to be expected. "Yeah, well, you get used to it. I can hardly remember what it feels like to fight in only one place at a time now. Vufufu..."

"Chae?" Xuza turned to meet the other meister's gaze. Of course she was fresher than Xuza, but she wasn't going to be denied a good match by the winged meister. Xuza nodded to her opponent with a smile. "This should be fun. Hope you're ready!" Whatever Chae was up to was interesting, but Xuza didn't feel like simply looking at it. Instead she went on the offensive, running straight at her. Her wings were closed, which meant no electricity, but warping was still on the table. She gave a strong lunge, aiming to pierce right through the other meister's hoops.

Chae watched as Xuza lunged at her, a little startled by the idea that she would be so forward against something she hadn't seen. Flicking her wrist towards Xuza, the outer ring shot forth, circulating at a faster rate as if it were a small jet stream of water not strong enough to really cut through something solid like metal but you'd certainly feel it if it hit but Chae wasn't ignorant of the fact that if Xuza wanted she could literally warp out of the way and somewhere completely safe.

Chae motioned her hand back to her hip, the inner rings circulating her frame, each moving to circulate at different levels and not all horizontal. To fight someone who could teleport around wasn't favorable for Chae by any means, regardless of how talented she may have been. "Lets see what little tricks you have." she whispered to herself, her eyes watching careful, he reflexes getting ready to motion herself if needed.

Xuza Uriel: "Angel of Death"

(bump~)

Xuza made contact with the blade and was immediately pushed back. She thought she was going to be able to blast right through. Things were looking like it was time to up the ante, though. Friction pushed her sword out of the way and the water began to dig at Xuza's skin before she leaped out of the way, back a couple meters where she knew it was safe.

"That's really cool," said the winged one watching with an inclined head as Chae started to alter the arrangement of her rings. Rather than being frustrated, she was simply amused with what a different thing was able to do. Element users were always so entertaining--yes, let's focus on that part. Internally the winged meister was thinking of ways to throw off her opponent, or at least deal with this dicey defense.

"Alright! Now watch this." Xuza flashed a grin to Chae before starting to run again, warping every which way on every other step. If it wasn't stopped she would have enough energy to do something really impressive.

    If you don't stop it

Xuza ended up gaining power enough to put her wings to their more conventional use and began flying around the area rapidly, using up all the space allotted them by the original settings of the match. She would appear as a shimmer on morning dew, a thousand copies springing up and vanishing in the blink of an eye. To the very trained eye there was a certain pattern to these rapid warps.

"Whew!" Standing before Chae's defenses now, Xuza shook her head a little and squared off with her weapon held up in a presenting manner. "A little refresher in physics: Electromagnetic Induction. Basically, one or more objects--" she fished out two metal barrings from her pocket and showed them open-palm to Chae--"obit another with great speed. The agitation of the field," she continued nodding to the rapier as the barrings began spinning around the tip at an ever-increasing rate, "causes a lot of heat to be generated very quickly." At this point the tip of her blade was glowing orange.

"Let's see if this is enough..." She charged again, hoping to blast through Chae's defenses and put the pressure on her.

    if you do
Xuza would do the best she could to avoid any large hits, but the fact of the matter is her teleporting takes some concentration, and at this speed it's even more demanding. Catching her off-guard at any time during the build-up would leave her at a disadvantage.

(Sorry for the confusion. I'm moving her to the other training field if any of you want to follow)

After swords and water-blades clashed and blows were traded it was apparent that neither of these two were going to have a clear advantage, therefor making this battle lean towards becoming a war of attrition than a simple sparring match. Looked like it too. Each scuff and cut was like an entry in a big ol' log of the fight; each mark on their bodies was an translation of a conversation between two souls, just as in any match, friendly or otherwise. After it was over Xuza understood Chae and Orion more clearly.

"Whew!" She said putting her sword back where she got it. "That was pretty intense. Fun, but intense." She made sure to make eye contact with both of them so none felt left out. "We should definitely do it again sometime!" After that Xuza would offer to meet them at back at the cafe where they'd met originally in a couple days. With a slightly weary smile, she bid them adieu.

After Orion had rested a bit, he sat up and watched the end of Xuza and Chae's spar. After nodding to Xuza's offer to meet up at a later date, Orion followed her lead and returned his borrowed weapon to the rack. He picked up the shirt and vest he had taken off earlier, and tucked his combat knife back into his sheathe before waving goodbye to Chae and teleporting elsewhere in the city.

"Alright, let's see..." Orion said, returning to the training field the next day. He wasn't entirely sure if he was even allowed to be there, but he assumed that someone would stop him eventually if he needed to go elsewhere. He waltzed across the field in the same attire as the day before, which was still dirty, and with a new array of sticks and leaves matted in his bright blue hair. One thing was different than the day before... This time he came with his own sword. It was sheathed in a black leather scabbard that was strapped to the male's waist, with blue cloth wrapped around the hilt and a golden pommel to keep everything together. Orion walked over to where he had trained with Xuza and Chae yesterday, with the weird walls that formed lines in the ground until they were activated.

"Now... How did these work again? Training field..?" His question was rather tentative, not wanting to say the wrong thing and trigger some expensive security system that would shoot lasers at him or something. To his surprise, the response wasn't a bad sign.

"Hello Orion, how may I assist you?"

"Oh! Um... I need an area for a private training session for one person, please."

"Shall I sc-"

"And can you make the barriers like, super tough? Preferably as strong as you can," Orion added, cutting off the automated voice.

"Certainly." Orion watched as the walls began rising around him. the area wasn't as big as the area they had trained in yesterday, but it was suitable for what he was planning. As the sound of cranking gears came to a halt, his blue hair bobbed a bit as he unsheathed his blade. The stainless steel reflected the light of the sun overhead onto one of the walls. Orion played with the reflection a bit by turning the blade in the sun with a small smile painted on his lips. It had been a while since he had actually held this thing. It was almost like his best friend. This wasn't his first sword, but it was the first one he made himself. He folded the steel himself, heated and cooled the metal, bent it, sharpened it, wrapped it, and even stitched the scabbard all on his own. He put his heart into making this blade.

When Orion was done playing around, he held the sword in front of him with both hands. Closing his eyes and taking a deep breath, he lifted the sword above his head and brought it down with force, ending at the same position in front of him. He repeated this a couple of times to ensure that he still remembered the basics. That was the most meticulous part of learning the Shigure Soen style. Learning it required drilling the basics of swordplay. If Orion had forgotten his basics, he would have to go back to the beginning and practice all of the movements with attention to detail until he had them ingrained into every fiber of his body.

Orion's eyes opened with a much more focused look to them than before. He wasn't quite serious yet, but he was definitely done playing around for a while. He had a very specific goal in mind. He wasn't necessarily trying to train himself to exhaustion, he just wanted to run through the motions. Shigure Soen was a weird style. You only get to see each form once. From there, you had to mimic what you saw until you knew how to perform the move yourself, and from there you were supposed to come up with your own forms. But in order to create your own forms, you had to have the original forms down to the letter. Very meticulous.

Orion let loose an indistinct pulse of soul wavelength around himself and within moments, the walled in area was home to a foot-deep pool of water. Orion brought his feet up one at a time and planted them on the surface of the water, using his water walking technique to stand on the pool. Water manipulation was weird. There were a lot of things that struck Orion as weird today. You could say his mood itself was weird. He was bored. Here he was, in a city that he knew next to nothing about, and he was bored. The only thing he could think of to cure that boredom was training, but even then, training alone wasn't the same as training with someone else. He would have to improvise.

Orion took a deep breathe. "Six forms. Let's see how fast I can do this," he muttered under his breath. Turning his sword downward and dipping the tip into the water, he began, making mental notes as he went.

Shibuki Ame, five, he lifted the sword upwards quickly, in response, a large current of water rose into the air. Orion pulled his sword back and delivered a simple, but powerful, thrust to the current. Shajiku no Ame, four. That's how he'll have to do this, create a current or wave to attack. It wasn't uncommon, but it definitely wasn't his favorite thing to do. As the trust split the current, Orion readied his next attack. He spun quickly to build the momentum then swung the sword with his left hand in an upward diagonal slash. At the last second, he dropped the sword into his other hand, shadowing below.

Samidare, three, and another form was set up as the slash cut the already falling current in half. He spun again to maintain his momentum and brought the flat of his blade down to touch the water as he spun. As he rounded back to facing forward, he flicked the sword forward slightly and produced a large wave that stood higher than his own body, Utsushi Ame, two. As the wave traveled, Orion jumped into the air and flipped over the wave, performing a downward slashing motion onto some invisible opponent. Immediately, he pulled his arm back and rounded on the incoming wave. Beccata di Rondine, one, the thought had barely finished crossing his mind before he pushed forward a multitude of times in a single moment, totaling out at 50 total thrusts in a couple of seconds. Orion watched the misleading spear-like formations shredded the wave before him. He knelt down as he flicked his free hand upwards. A wall of water jumped to life in front of him as he moved his sword in a defensive position in front of him. "Sakamaku Ame, zero."

Even Orion's tone of voice was listless. He wasn't even winded from that. That series of movements was all just to make sure he never forgot how to use the forms of Shigure Soen. As he stood, Orion just shrugged and smiled to himself. On the bright side, at least he still knew how to use them. He decided to have a bit of fun. Walking over to one of the walls, Orion's body began to become energized with rebounding pulses of wavelength. As his eyes began to fade to a feint, glowing white, He willed the water to rise up and form the head of a powerful water serpent. Now, it wasn't quite as powerful as it would be if he used a larger pool of water, but it was still considerably strong. He stood his ground and chose himself as the target for this water monstrosity. The serpent's response was to rush forward, crashing into Orion's body and pushing him back, pinning him to the wall until it had finished it's onslaught.

Orion dropped to the ground, soaked to the bone and coughing up a bit of water he had swallowed. That definitely wasn't the brightest idea. In fact, it felt like he would at the very least be bruised tomorrow. He forgot how much force that attack actually had behind it. He was officially sore.

When all was said and done, or at least on pause, there would be a stillness in the air left that some might compare to the aftermath of a warzone. Maybe the eye of a hurricane would be more appropriate? In any case, the void of sound was populated by the distant twinkling murmurs of "Are they alright?" after a moment. They filtered in slowly, masking the footsteps of someone who was, obviously, curious enough to wander over to the cube Orion was in.

"Visitation requested: Megumi Sato, Death Magic Allegiance. Will you let them in?" The computer voice asked this just before there was a tapping on the far wall of the containment.

"Hi~" A rather chipper voice filled in where there was once a kind of stuffy, new age-y British accent. "Is everything alright in there? People are a little worried..."

Orion, as he rested, was surprised as the automated voice spoke up with a request that he hadn't heard the day before. He glanced up, almost as if he were looking for the source of the voice before jumping at the knock from the other side of the wall he had been sitting against. He turned an ear towards where the newcomers voice originated. The voice had identified her as Megumi Sato. It had also mentioned something about a Death Magic Allegiance, whatever that was. Orion tilted his head bobbed it rather forcefully until a bit of water drained out.

"Um... sure," he replied, his voice somewhat hoarse from a combination of having the wind knocked out of him and nearly drowning in his own attack. He leaned forward as the sound of cranking gears accompanied the decent of the wall that was behind him. He shook his dripping hair as he flashed an apologetic smile at Megumi before the wall had completely sank back into the ground. "Sorry about that. I didn't mean to worry anyone. Yeah, everything is fine. Just doing a bit of practice is all," as he finished his sentence, water began spilling out of the boxed in area until the area was empty. Que another apologetic smile from Orion.

"Sorry about your shoes, by the way, I should have warned you." Orion chuckled after he had finished speaking. He stood himself up somewhat shakily and turned to face the female, picking up his sword from the ground and sheathing it in the scabbard before holding his hand out in greeting. "I take it you're Megumi. I'm Orion, it's nice to meet you."

"Ah... That's... Okay," said the girl looking down at her feet. She mumbled to herself for a moment before looking up with a bright smile at the soggy boy in front of her.

"I'll just blame it on my luck," she said with a little chuckle. It wasn't totally unlike Orion's, really. She gave him a once-over: blue hair; which was fun; tattered clothes--that could have happened just now, soaked to the bone and alone. If she didn't know any better she would think this was some kind of macabre misuse of the private training facilities. Fortunately, Megumi didn't buy for a second that this guy was trying to off himself in seclusion here at this less-than-bustling school. Why was it so barren? The people who noticed Orion's crashing silence were no where to be found now. Eh, suppose we'll leave that one til later.

"Oh!" Megumi took Orion's hand, felt the hard work in the grit of his palm of a lifetime mastering his craft, held steady the shakiness that was there as his nerves protested against it. "Nice to meet you," she echoed.

"... So, looks like you really go at it, huh? Definitely what I'd expect from one of Shibusen's students." She smiled at the blue haired boy. Megumi had this air about her, as though she was secretly very shy.
