Van smiled brightly, getting those warm, parental fuzzies from getting called 'daddy' by his all-grown-up daughter. "Well, I hope that feeling is temporary. I can't see dark and brooding fitting in too well with this family."

"Not everyone has to be married and with children to be happy. I can make my own happiness." Larai pointed out with a small frown. "Besides, I can name hundreds of marriages that are unhappy. Over half of which have children too."

Larai began to grow slightly irritated. "I find it annoying that I'm not allowed to go without interest without being critisized for it." Larai said, increasing her pace to walk further ahead of her family.
