Well, I figured that Ilium produced crystals that naturally helped focus a beam. Not to mention, its other attributes which could be used to enhance the beam from several other ways.
Anyways the point is that I thought if there was a realistic excuse to go to Ilium, that I could kill two birds with one stone.

Listen, I'm just offering an explenation on how you could wind up there. You need a focusing gem, Illum craps 'em out, and quality ones at that. ergo Ferno-> Illum

That was what I was trying to do. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't as farfetched so say there was a man-sized crystal on ilium.

Hell, its Star Wars. Reality isnt exactly an issue.
Besides, Those caves are huge. Just take a scanner and look in the most Geothermically active areas in the very bottom of the caves.

There are some things that are open enough for us to fudge a bit.
That said, does the Aduba system have an asteroid field?

No.
I'm waiting on Ferno or his troops to shoot the Jedi Starship out of the sky.

Who knows? He's gonna get messed up anyway.
Not only is Vaan crafty, he's also mentally unstable now.

Ok. Time to call some shenanigans.
Now, anyone want to explain what in the blankety blank Paul's postie on 137 I beleive it is, is about?
The engineering thing is certainly news to me. eek I'm pretty sure I said it was a casino her old man owned.
Plus, Aduba 3 is all the way out in bum-kriff, and the only reason Freya's going there is a safehouse that only she and her brother know about.
Of course, if others - being Cale, Nelo, et al - approved it, then I'll let it slide.

I swear to the Force that the guy Reads nothing and only acts like he knows what he's doing most of the time.
How he bungled the Casino thing I'll never know, but somewhere, somehow, despite Link not existing in any Imperial Records aside from several aliases (Born in a starship, spent most of his youth as a huttese slave) he manages to find out my first name is Link, and even goes so far as to think I'm blind without the Force and begins stalking me, which is really disturbing. The hacking the Cloud City Computers I realize makes enough sense, since R2 D2 managed to pull it off.
Then we come to the Community, which is apparently widely known to exist among the Merchant's guild. Did you even order any gas? confused

The Twinkosity of Paul is really starting to get on my nerves. I can live with his Character looking like Nilardo Peacecraft, but there are some things that just put a burr under my sadle. He wants a special Race he made his self, his own lightsaber Form, all this special gear, Its like he's drasticaly trying to overcompensate for something. Dont even get me started on the starship of choice the first two times. He wanted a prototype heavy fighter and pushed for it twice. Shot it down both times due to the illogicial nature of the idea, primarily in the realms of practicality.
