Sami yawned and felt the window, yanking her hand back as she did so. Leaning to the side, she took a jacket from the passenger seat.
"Wrap up, ladies and gents. 'Cause its COLD outside."

Rose rolled her eyes, "I guess you don't want the ice-cream anymore then."

Sami laughed.
"Whoever said that?" She quipped happily. "I could eat ice cream in Antarctica!" She opened the door and got out. "Let's go!"

Rose chuckled and got out of the car, looking for an ice-cream vender.

Sami pursed her lips in thought as she zipped up her jacket, the harbor's cold winds whipping through the island.
"The ice cream is inside the zoo," she stated, pointing to the archway that marked the entrance. "We'll need to pay for our tickets first." She smiled brightly. "So policewoman, what's your favorite animal?"

Sami laughed.
"I like penguins!" She stated happily. "And polar bears! But mostly penguins!" She giggled, wrapping a scarf around her neck and adjusting a black beanie on her head. "They're so cute, ya know?"

Sami blinked at Rose.
Taking a chance, she raised a hand and tugged slightly on Rose's sleeve.
"C'mon," she stated simply. "We're getting ice cream. We're going to a zoo! Be happy!" Then she gave a soft scowl. "Or at least less... party-crasher-ish."

"I try," she replied simply. "Little things just make me happy! If it's one thing I've learned, it's that you can't let life in New York get you down!" She smiled brightly. "If you do, it's just going to get worse and worse! Cherish the happy moments you have - no matter how small they are!" She laughed, rocking on the balls of her feet. "Ya know?"
