
"You can't exactly condemn one person for being what they are when the version of you today is vastly different from what you were before... all this," Lila waved her hand in a circle in the air above her. "I'm sure the people who knew me back then would be shocked to see who I have become."
"But you're nothing like-" started Maggie.
"No, I am exactly like him!" retorted Lila, straightening up and pointing a finger at her. "I stand my ground on what I believe in and I will do anything I can to protect them from harm. If others try to get in my way, I am unafraid to do what it takes to prevent it."
Maggie only glared in response.
"The only reason why you don't see how much we're alike is because you are so focused on what you remember of your past. Of that one little incident that changed your world forever." Lila shook her head. "I'm not saying what he did was right. I truly am sorry for your loss. But we've all done terrible things. We're all a villain in someone's story. Just don't forget to look beyond the obvious to see why some are described more in that direction than others."
