they are in teh area to the southwestish of the purian penninsula. Malik has done some tampering with them..but they are doing basically what malik wants, and what he warned the Purians about. I'd have to recheck the map.
think Uruk-hai. these guys are unified, militarily apt, kinda, and well armored.
basically malik caught a scout, forced into it the soul of a rallosian orc emperor, and then let the cards fall as they may. said orc conquerer/unifed the tribes that had been pestering the penninsula the past 800 years, and with his new knowledge was able to forge them into military being. Now, he feels he's ready to take on the purians for thier land and resources...and to 'restore face' for the hundreds of failed raids.
which is of course what Malik wants.
and malik has three reasons for it.
1. crush the purians for the 'insult' the chieftan gave him.
2. force the purians to ally with him, rather than deepwater, to save thier own skins.
3. Reveal Warren for what he is. Malik noticed, and commented, on teh very different Warrens. the one before the ball, and the one during the ball. Malik thinks something major has changed with warren...adn what better way to force him to reveal his hand than to potentially have his family/people massacared?
Malik is pretty confident that the Purians can't win without someone interfereing. and he's suspecting that Warren will be the only one that can in rapid time, other than himself.

He was never a coward. He just didn't have very strong limits to push.
