Orient just sort of looks at him. "We can't do anything, love." He says. "What happens, happens.

He shrugs, because he thinks getting dressed would be a better idea.

Orient just lies there, because there really isn't anything they can do.

Uriel hides his face in the crook of Orient's neck, because he's worried.

"We'll probably be fine, right?" Uriel asks, more of his fear coming through in his voice than he wanted.

"Sorry." Uriel says, averting his eyes a bit. He didn't want to be annoying, but he was terrified of dying.

Elsewhere on board, it was only after the rains started and everyone had retreated downstairs that Doran remembers that he hadn't put away the locket he'd bought for siryn yet, so it was on deck where it would likely get lost. So regardless of his safety, he heads up quick, hoping to grab it fast and go back to the relative security of the bunk room.

Siryn follows her lover up on board, because seriously, Doran is the type to get himself in trouble without even meaning to.

Doran doesn't notice her following him, because he's paying all his attention to the movements of the ship and to his footing. He gets to were he'd stashed the locket, cursing at himself for not having had the guts to give it to Siryn before, because then he wouldn't have to be doing this grab now. As he stashes it in his pocket, the boat suddenly lurches violently, knocking him against the railing.
And since the poor boy has no luck at all, a wave crashes up at the same time, taking him overboard,.

Siryn sees this, and runs back down the stairs, wide eyed. She can't swim, and she can't save him. She pounds on Orient's door.

The banging frightens Uriel at first, til he realizes it's clearly not the storm. He slips out from under Orient and pulls on his pants.

Orient jumps up and springs to the door, where he opens it to see a teary-eyed Siryn. "Doran fell overboard, and I can't swim."
Without even waiting for her to finish her sentence, Orient is off, rushing up to deck and looking for the boy in the storm.
