The Earth orbits the sun about 18 miles per second. ^.^; If I remember correctly. *random interjection*

My spell check also spells opinion wrong every time.
So yeah.

I see. You're the same distance from the point, but in the same direction...so stuff moves out from under your feet, because your direction vector isn't spinning.
Here's an idea. Choose three reference points, and give yourself a fixed distance from each of them. This gives you only two places you can possibly be, and if the points spin along with the earth...hmm.
This crap is complicated.

Unsung Warrior The Earth orbits the sun about 18 miles per second. ^.^; If I remember correctly. *random interjection* So stopping someone in relation to the earth's spinning = ~1000 mph instant acceleration. Stopping someone in relation to the earth's orbit of the sun = ~65000 mph instant acceleration. ...anyone have a figure for how rapidly the universe is expanding, or how fast the rotation of this arm of the galaxy is?

So anyways... I think I've decided that the next character I make is going to be a centaur.
Because seriously... don't see any of those around, do you?

This crap is complicated. Three is a prime number, but too close to how the polarity of the planet is distributed. I'd say your magic number is probably five.

The earth suddenly stops, subject doesn't, and that equals subject flying forward with possibly gravity still acting as a counter. You'd have to calculate rotation and orbit into this equation. I suppose that might mean the subject would find himself burrowed deep within the earth if he was on the front side. This is assuming he was phasing through the time change. Front side being the side facing the direction of movement at the time.
I think the reference point is either the subject or the earth.
The earth is moving, subject isn't, whether it's moving around the sun or straight through space is of little relevance because of the small amount of time frozen.
Although, the subject might alter time in a way that keeps the subject moving with the earth or compensates position???
And.. debates like these are why I hate time magicians..... can't we all just be bound to the rules of space and time?

Not here in the fighting arenas. You will find lots in Talm, and probably near the docks of Carpe Noctum.

The theory is that it reaches a max capacity, and then starts to implode. Black holes, that sort of thing. Point of creation, or the big bang initiates the spreading out, then it's a gradually but continual regression.
