Thinks about RPing but then no one is around...

Thinks about doing training but then remembers it's a 4000 word minimum...

I'm starting to see why this place is so dead sad

Edit: I have a monitor that is 1920x1080 for resolution. I bring this up, because I made a training post that was 7 3/4's lines.

I mention this because it used to be 4 lines on 1280x800 screen.

We have 427 members. Of those, i think less than 10 actually post more than once a week.

Basically, if we don't change something, this guild is basically closed, because no one is here RPing. No one has time to write 8 page essays for fun.

Somehow, we really need to fix things, and then kick up recruitment so this place actually has a point again. Seeing as there are no less than 8 other naruto guilds that are not thriving with their own systems and have far more activity...

So yeah. I wonder if it'll be a week before anyone actually replies in the guild chatterbox. Sign of the times... crying

Well, then I am a complete moron then. Not that I didn't know that already, but yeah, figured as much.

Now that I have been made aware that my essays are actually supposed to be for a bonus...

That still leaves the recruiting thing up in the air. We really need to find a way to get more people into this guild again so we can at least have two busy villages. I mean, it is the time for holiday breaks. If we are going to get new people, it's best to do it now before they all get busy with school and work again.

See, at the moment, no to all of those things. I don't keep many friends on here.

I'm just thinking we need to somehow get people interested again so the place isn't dead. As a guild, we're probably the most technically sound. We just need to find a way to attract more people to us. Granted, I'm not sure how, aside from going to other guilds, but I abhor that concept....

Still, I think it'd be good to bring more people in somehow. Get the villages moving again. Actually make plots happen. Get back to the days when this place was busy again.

We could do that. Of course, the question remains as to who would do it, and what we would be showing off. The thing that this guild does best, in my own opinion, is creating a real atmosphere that works with the world. At the same time, we allow people to create things to work within the world.

I'll admit that i'm not exactly good with advertizing. I like the idea for a public thread but I don't know how it would work.

Sounds like a good idea to me; of course this hinges around people who are well versed in how this place works, and revolves around the fact that they will have time to post.

That is the big problem; most of the people who know what they're doing only post once a week, if that. It's not exactly a glowing endorsement if we're trying to get activity to increase.

Yet when advertising, we really do need to show off the fact that we know what we're doing. It's like when you're selling a car; you don't want to show it off as anything less than perfect. Sure, both people know it's not perfect inherently; but the point is to make the person who's buying into it feel like they're getting something amazing.

Thus, if we make this seem anything less than great, then people will be more likely to turn away and go elsewhere; just like if they open the car door and realize that there aren't any seats inside.
