Takiko slowly walked into her apartment. She dropped the keys on the couch and wearily walked to Kadaj's room. After seeing her baby boy leaning against the inside of his crib, attempting to stand. He reached out to her, slightly wavnig to her before he lost his balance and fell. Takiko smiled as as she walked over to him. She picked him up and gently held him in his arms. "I'm sorry I was gone so long... I was hunting... and... I was careless..." Takiko said softly, looking down to her baby in her arms. She softly bounced him in her arms and smiled as he laughed. His laugh was rich, yet still young and innocent. Takiko knew he won't be innocent for long, being the son of two powerful demons. And that he will be part Speed Demon will make it even harder for him to control his powers. Takiko briefly remembered how hard it was for her to control her powers, it will be just as hard for him...

I saw Fate and heard her response. It seemed to make me feel hollow inside. My face twitched, the anguish in my heart showing for a second. "I...I understand. I'll...see you later then." I turned and slowly headed for the door. Tears once again, stremed down my face, but my back was to Fate. The only thing she might have noticed was when the teardrops fell from my face onto the carpet, with a gentle raindrop sound. I opened the door and stood in the doorway, trying to make myself walk through the door, but I couldn't.

Apparently the two of them were on different pages. "Silver, wait!" She did her best to run from her bedroom. Her jeans covered her ankle, and tears came to her eyes as she approached him. Such problems such a simple injury can cause.
She bit her lip so hard, blood came to. "Silver..Don't leave me again." She placed her hands on his shoulders and rested her face in his back. "Things aren't how they seem." She stood at a miserably akward angle, but it was the only way she didn't collapse. She could heal blood sores, but what shame to not have the ability with sprains! "Silver.." She whispered soothingly. "..Close the door. I would come if I could." Hidden meaning? Apparently so.

I was elated when I heard her voice calling me back. I felt her hands on my shoulders, but I knew something was wrong. Her steps has sounded strange when she had walked over. "Fate? Are you alright?" I closed the door and turned around. "Whats wrong?" I had by now figured out that something completely opposite to what I had been thinking was going on. "Are you hurt or something?!"

Fate smiled, so happy he had decided to stay. "Silver, I'm alright." She giggled at his worry, thankful he did. "Sugoi, I will be okay." Fate glanced at her leg. Because of her pale skin, the ankle was probably something from a Frankenstein movie by now. Leaning down, she braced his leg for balance. Slowly, she slipped up the pant leg. It was abit snug, but she managed getting it up to her knee. There was her horribly sprained ankle, in hues of purple and blue. Her delicate limb was swollen two times its original state. "It is not a big deal, honestly."

I looked at her leg, horrified. "What happened?! Did someone do this to you??" The ankle loooked pretty bad and I felt the sudden need to protect her from any harm. It was the same feeling I had felt when Logan had attacked her. "We have to find someone to fix that. It looks really bad."

Fate giggled, blushing and embarassed. "Bloody no, silly. Didn't you hear me fall while I was in my room?" She stood and rested on the bar. "A," she winced, "laundry basket attacked me. Quite foolish, hm?" She shook her head. "It's not so bad..I've never had one, but it can't be too horrible." She smiled. "Listen, I don't want to spoil what's left of the night air for you.."

My mouth started to twitch. "A laundry basket attacked you?... um...yeah...a little foolish." I would've laughed for a long while, but that would have been rude so i kept the laughter inside. That was...considerably difficult. "I suppose a sprained ankle isn't too bad and for you it should heal up pretty quickly." I smiled and held her hands, so she didn't have to stay in the uncomfortable motion anymore. "The night air?...now what could you mean by that?" I chuckled.

Fate could tell he wanted so much to laugh at her. She felt idiotic, but what can you do when everything else is clouding your mind? It was best to just forget it and move on.
"Well, I would hope so..I'm useless without being able to walk." She sighed some. Fate had a slightly puzzled look on her face when Silver took her hands, but she said nothing. "Well dearest, it is five a m." Her smile was a little off, as if put on. "I really don't want to keep you with my nonsense." She persed her lips. "I won't be able to leave here after six anyway." She shrugged.

I looked out the window, seeing that the sun would indeed be coming up soon. "Its not much fun to walk by yourself. I guess i'll just stay here then. I had enough roaming earlier anyways. Are you sure you don't want me to find Mortis or somebody? They could fix you right away." I was still concerned for her, even though a sprained ankle isn't a mortal wound or anything.

Fate nodded some. "Do as you wish." She released his hands and examined him while he spoke. "Silver, I'll be alright. The swelling will probably be down in about an hour." She pats his chest lovingly. "Thank you though." There was sincerity in her voice. "So..is there anything I can get for you?" It was so bland being cooped up in an apartment during the day..not that it has to do with anything.

"Well, I hope you're feeling better soon, then." I felt very protective for her and this was a feeling that I still didn't understand. I smiled when she asked if I wanted anything. "You know, you always ask me that. Well, i'm not the injured one now. You go sit down and is there anything I can get you?" I laughed.

"Ichigo..as do I." She stuck out her tongue abit at the thought. Fate giggled and blushed. "That's true I suppose.." Fate manages to make it to the couch on one foot. There she sat on the end. Glancing over her shoulder, she waved. "I don't want to order you around. You are my guest, and that's not right."

"I know i'm the guest, but still. A guest should still help out and thats what i'm doing. Do you need anything? How about an ice pack to help relieve the swelling?" I walked into the kitchen area. "It won't hurt as much if you use one." I looked in the freezer for some ice cubes and other items.

Fate sighed. "Sure, that's fine." No reasoning. Oh, he's ruthless and stubborn. You just HAVE to love him. Meh..'tis what makes him sexy. She giggled to herself. "I don't have a lot of supplies here anymore..Just enough to get by. I finally got myself a Coven apartment." She shrugged and rested her elbow on the arm of the couch. "Guess that wasn't too wise..But I did it right after the Glacier fighting broke out." Fate pressed her temple into her erect index and middle finger.
