Why new plastic marine kits? The current ones are good as they are.

And photos of the Legion of the Damned can be found on Warseer forums.

And I don't agree with you link, the black templar and dark angel sprues are awesome and ends with nice models, I don't see what you don't like with them. o 3o;;;

Honestly, I just wish they'd add a Heavy Bolter to the Tactical Upgrade Sprue.

That's why GW made the devastator box, where you get enough weapons to spread out through your force for a formidable price, they can't add too many heavy weapons throughout the tactical boxes.

What? Re-cut the Tactical box again? Ha, as if GW is going to spend another few thousand Pounds Sterling on that again.

*sighs* its a shame...

still, as great as a new tactical box would be, i spose that with the pods, new land raider, dreadnought and Storm Speeder, i shouldnt be complaining.

So many new things..... ;.;
Any rumours or news about the new DA codex being under construction? neutral

And I agree, you can´t have way too many sprues in one box set;
the problem arises when you look your LARGE bits-box and be all like:
what the heck am I suppose to do with all these bits? gonk

I´m glad that GW finally published their own version of the drop-pod. surprised
It may perhaps not be as cool as FW version,
but at least it´s practical and easier to get. :3

A new DA codex? WTF man! Their codex has been revised two or so years ago, they won't be up for another five years, think! Space Wolves are up first when Marines are getting revised again.

Five bucks says that we see EVERYTHING revised before the Dark Eldar get their new codex.

Man...The new ability for all Marine Commanders to have the one time use Orbital Bombardment it pretty slick. I can see how it would really come into use in the clutch against a big swarmy army.

Let me think:

....commanders lost the rule "all uses his leadership".....
....new techmarine commander with a neat gun....
.....new land raider type....... new artillery toy......
.....new units and special characters......
....commander on a tank upgrade.....
.....combat squad rule is now common for all chapters.......
.....Scouts got a new transport toy.......
....servitors are now own unit type now a days.....

I say again: when´s the new DA codex gonna come? biggrin

And I agree, SW and DE needs more attencion on the codex the those already revised.

Look the release schedule as of now is: Second wave of Orks in January, Imperial Guard in May, Planet Strike around Summer and somewhere after that the second wave of Daemon releases. Necrons are up first most likely as some sort of splash release in line with the Tau Empire, a quick patch with some new units to make the army work better.

The DA will get a FAQ sometime soon and that is it.

There won't be a new DA codex for a while, and most DA players will probably stick to the new marine codex (just like normal marine players used the DA codex instead for cheaper rhinos and free stuff).

And if they make a new DA codex it won't be out before DE, DE is planned for a new release during next summer according to my recourses.

kk, was just curious about it.

Managed to take a look on the new codex at my friends house today and
I can say that a simple FAQ (Erratan) won´t work on this case.
If it was minor changes then it would be alright, but when it comes not only
new units and such, but there are changes in some units stats lines and
majority of wargear rules are different from the old SM codex and current DA codex.

It would take atleast a white dwarf type solution on the codex to get it up-to-date with the current SM codex rules or, if they are clever,
go back to the old idea of making a Supplement codex,
only focusing on changes that concern on DA units and models and use SM as a base for regular and common models.
Not only would this solution would help them to speed up the annoying re-task of re-updating the codex´s up to date,
but also save more time for other, more critical projecs on other codexs aswell and keep them in deadline.

But that´s just me.....
I could go with the new sm codex, but it doesn´t feel the same.

I've always considered the DA, BA, SW codexies as supplements. Sure, the more recent BA and DA ones were turned into full fledged codexies, but technically you should be able to use them as supplements, like Daemon Hunters and SM, Witchhunters and IG etc. My brother thinks it's completely fair to play off the 5th ED SM, looking back into the DA for Ravenwing and Deathwing, though, as well as special characters or if I wanted a Librarian with Hellfire and Force Barrier. Every book made by GW could be considered a supplement if you work it correctly and your opponent agrees. From what I asked about this kind of thing before, most of the responses were in line with what I thought. So really, it's up to you.
