That EM thing goes for you as well.
We need something to do, and I loves Russian-esque type history plots.

Same. And I need more people to interact with.
I do not want to just give Dessie hell in attempts to protect my character. domokun
Must cause many people Hell...with the non-combatant.

Welp, my ideas are hardly Russian. I'm gonna use half-golems, since they're my preferred race, but one'll be this general, getting on in years, real ruthless kinda gruff fellow (I'm liking the nickname Stonefist), and then his son, basically left to his own devices because of the wars, and with the young and rich mentality that fits the Durem rebellion-types perfectly.
Stonefist or whatever probably would've left the half-golem tribe as a teen, or as a child with his family, similar to what happened with Shouyin, but there'd be no chieftan sons coming back to kill him, since the tribe would've been in its prime that many years ago, unlike the feral and clutching at straws as it dies s**t it's pulling nowadays.

Fun fact.
If Holdine has been at war with Durem for a long time as said in the backstory - then my character would be getting mixed feelings.
Some would not care. Some support in hopes it would help negotiations. Some instantly suspect him of being a spy, planning things, etc.
Which means fun stuff for me. ...

You dont' have to be Russian. It's just the flavor of the stuff Dan and I have been doing. Get two History nerds together who share a similiar fondness for time and you get things like this. sweatdrop

I've not planned out a single thing in Holdine so far. My character does not even have a set first name.
And my last post finally decided on his gender.
Its all coming out as I go. The whole Foreign deal just ended up being the result from my first post. Seemed more fun then being pre-established.

I always just go with the flow. We planned something? We just plot. ninja Totally different things. And PoC will get going as soon as I get word back from someone about the conflict.

I think that will be up to the parties involved. But if it goes the way I think it will be, then it will be rather obvious what happened even if why is not so clear.

Err... alright.
On another note:
I got some ideas for my characters' names. Hardly original, since they're the names of some well-known fellows, but I like how they both sound, and there could be some interesting conclusions drawn from them. Although, Stonefist's name hardly fits his character at all, but the man who he might be named after last words kinda make me think of something neat, that doesn't actually correlate with what I feel they meant.
So, without further adieu:
For Stonefist (the general) - Archimedes For his son - Marcellus
No last names, since that doesn't fit with the half-golem culture, and if I were to go with these, I'd probably make the request that in the Holdine 'universe' the two fellows never existed, since such IC conversations about the famous men they were named after would be really weird, seeing as the half-golem tribes were a secluded bunch, and it'd really be entirely coincidental that such names were thought of.
[Although, it could've also been a trend. Shouyin seemed to be part of the 'give your children a Japanese-like name' age of half-golem-ness, while Stonefist could have been born during the 'name your kid after an ancient Greek or Roman fellow' era in the tribe.]
Thoughts from anyone at this late hour?
Edit: Welp, think I'm gone, possibly for the night. If anyone does have an opinion, or another idea, please feel free to PM me, or just post it here. Backreading's become one of those dirty habits of mine.
