Amnity looked up at him. "Well maybe you should ask Ventrus." She said, looking back out to the road. "You might figure out something about yourself that you didn't even know."

"...The last time I asked him about him, he answered with a philosphical riddle that would make someone normal's head explode..." Zahzi said with a deep sigh.

Amnity winced a bit. "Damn, that sucks. I'd go crazy if I had to live with someone like that..." She could just imagine Zahzi as a child covering his ears as Ventrus kept ranting about something he can't understand. The soldier chuckled a bit. "Tell me, have you ever gone so crazy that you and Ventrus actually fought after he kept annoying you with too many riddles?"

"Seven times." Zahzi answered with a grin.
"First six times I woke up to an E.K.G. machine beeping...Seventh, I made him stop while ending up with a broken arm...Still won that fight though!" he said with a laugh.

Amnity rolled her eyes. "Ugh...Your right, that must be hell." She remembered the first real time she had spoken to Ventrus after she and Zahzi were sparring on the roof. He ordered them to stop whatever they were doing. Amnity didn't like bieng told what to do, so she actually scoffed and stormed away. She chuckled a bit. "...Not really the guy I would want to live with for 7 years myself..."

Amnity was a bit confused though. "...You speak of him as if you hated living with him...But you treat him as if he were your father." She shook her head. "That confuses me."

Amnity considered it. "I guess." She shrugged. There was another silence, then she leaned in and whispered to Zahzi. "...You know Melanie has been ease dropping on us for the last hour or so don't you?" It would have been impolite to call her out of her hiding place, that's why Amnity kept silent about it the entire time.

"Oh, it's hard not to notice...Why else would I be reading an energy wave from the tops of the roofs..?" Zahzi asked with a smirk.

Amnity chuckled a bit. She thought about another question to ask him. "Um...Alright, I have another question to ask you." She paused for a moment, then spoke again. "The scars on your face before....Where you had to wear a mask...You were very vague about that happened to you...And how you're okay now."

Melanie jumped down from the roof and landed right next to the two of them. "Sorry about that. I felt it was impolite to drop in on your conversation. But it was also rude of me to eaves-drop. The shed is prepared, you can start your music lessons now if you'd like."

Amnity saw as Melanie came and nodded, staring at the ground. She just realized that it was really awkward now that there was another person there with them now. The question asking session would have to wait later. "I just actually need to buy more groceries, we ran out of milk." She decided to go on her own. "See you guys later?"
