Luca didn't turn around. "Of course he knew my name." He had a feeling he knew exactly who'd spoken to Lori. "He's been harassing me ever since I left him. We weren't even together a week and he targets me!" He huffed, wiping at his eyes.
"You can leave," he gestured at the door. If Lori wanted to go, he could. He wasn't sure he felt like talking.

"No." He turned then, and studied Lori. "You didn't seem to want to stay." He'd implied it wasn't love, hadn't he? He'd believed the sprite. Luca flopped back on the couch.

Lori slumped. "I'm sorry. I just-- this is all so new to me. It's terrifying. Baby, please don't cry." Lacking the range to pull Luca to him he went to the couch himself and tried to take Luca's hand. His pretty face was red and wet and it was all his own goddamn fault. ********>

Instead of allowing Lori to take his hand, Luca wrapped his arms around him and held him tight. He buried his face in Lori's shoulder. "I don't want to lose you."

Lori held Luca back tightly, not minding the wet stains growing on his shoulder. "You're not going to lose me." He rubbed the distraught elf's back and closed his eyes hard. ******** that unseelie punk.

He wasn't? But he'd said--Luca looked up, blinking at him. He stroked Lori's hair. "I love you so much," He said. It'd only been a few months, but they were the best he'd ever experienced. "We can take things slower if you think it's too soon."

Lori shook his head.
"I love you too. I know I do. It's just... terrifying." And for this particular big scary man to admit that was quite a step. "No. No, this is perfect. Everything is perfect. The other night was amazing and I love you, and I'm so sorry I believed some stranger over my own gut."

Luca looked away slightly. He pulled away from Lori and went to his bedroom, and returned with the scrapbook. "Here," he said. "I made this for you."

What? What had just happened? Lori sat on the couch confused and watched Luca go. When he came back he had a rather large book in his hands. A scrapbook? He took it graciously and flipped it open.

"Its of us," Luca said. "Maia helped me get pictures for it." He watched Lori, almost hesitantly. Would he like it? Would he know how much he meant to him? "I finished it today."

A smile crossed Lori's worried face as he began to flip through. It was of them, definitely; of the past few months and their time together, always smiling, always laughing. The leaves Luca had pressed from the park. Their movie tickets. How could he have let some stranger scare him enough to ruin this? He could actually feel himself welling up, and when he reached the last page he left it spread on his lap and leaned over to capture Luca's chin and steal a kiss. "Thank you." His damp eyes searched Luca's with nothing but love.

Luca saw nothing but love in Lori's eyes, and returned the kiss. "It was supposed to be for Christmas," he said. But now had been the right time, he was sure of it.

Lori stroked the side of Luca's face and his long red hair. He felt bad that he'd made Luca whip out the Christmas presents, but now he knew exactly what he had to get Luca.
"You're all I want for Christmas," he said and kissed him again.
