(Sorry for the break in activity, guys. Odd couple of weeks for me, plus I'm just not sure if Kiru and Sakiko are going to be really active anymore. I'm just going to apologise to those two right now, as I won't be giving you more than three days to respond before I take my turn in the interest of momentum.)
Xuza was shifting around, pacing in a very small circle as Lumina spoke. The apology was nice, something of a pleasant surprise, but she didn't much care for all this red tape. All parties knowing each other--now, anyway--this type of procedure was superfluous if at all nice. She looked to Yata, asking his permission with the calm voice of her eyes.
"Huh..." Quietly, to herself. Then speaking up, "You seem to know a lot about what happened, even Paradox," she remarked, impressed rather than cross, seeing as she couldn't remember mentioning that name. "Just about as much as we do, to be honest. All we know is..." And here she retold again what had happened, starting with Han and the investigation, up to the threats made by Paradox, skipping over the part for which she was not conscious, allowing Yata to take it, and ending with confusion of whatever affliction she was not beset.
"That's really about it," said the winged one with a shrug. A little spark of pain flashed in the side of her head. Whispering voices carried her attention away for a split second, as they had been doing off and on, "since the attack--I've been hearing these voices. They say things as though they've already happened, but I know they haven't because I don't remember whatever it is they're talking about."
"Either way, I think you're right. We have a common enemy; everyone does now." Her face as stricken pale with worry. "Paradox is strong, stronger than anything I've seen. I couldn't even touch her with my teleportation."
"... But Illo might be just as powerful. I've seen him do things that should be impossible, without so much as breaking a sweat." She looked to Lumina again. "We have to stop her... Somehow." Though there was no confidence. Xuza couldn't even fool herself into thinking she could destroy Paradox with Illo under her control.

"So," she said, looking back from the twins unsteadily, "I assume you have some connections to learn that much. I think we should combine our resources, right Yata?" She nodded to her new teammate. "If there's anything we need to see, I think now's as good a time as any other."

"... Fine~" Xuza huffed and took a step, twisting in a little imaginary cyclone stirred up by her breath. Though in that short moment a thought occurred to her.
"Wait... You're saying you have eyes on the inside?" Hand on her hip, the winged meister looked Lumina straight in the eye. Hers were pleading with how passionate they were, but strong nonetheless. "And you didn't think that maybe a witch that powerful deserved more attention?" A sharp hand through her hair. She wasn't going to start flying off the handle at every little thing; moreover she was going to stop. A sigh.
"So now what?" Asked Xuza, shifting the ball back into Lumina's court. "I don't expect--agh!" She collapsed in an instant, a hot heap of grinding teeth and twitches on the ground.
What she saw then was something dreamt of only in the most feverishly mad minds. Dozens of lives all passing by: faces she recognised; but most she didn't; a cacophony of voices and footsteps; shouting, screaming, dying; a city being erected; huge, cyclopian robotic heaven piercing the sky. Sound of this world slowly drifted in, back together again. She stood back up.

Xuza Uriel: "Angel of Death"
Perhaps a personal vendetta wasn't the same as a global threat. The conversation proved that it wasn't. Xuza had a lot to think about now, especially whatever was happening inside her mind. Those voices, how could they be anything but insane. She waved goodbye, smiled even, but as soon as Lumina was gone she began to sweat. Was she cracking up? He's near... Follow him... He is the only way.
"But what am I-- ... Oh." There was no one. She turned to the others and said her goodbyes, apologising for being so weird. Did she go back to the library again? No, that didn't seem like the right thing to do in her state of mind. She needed a break. For now she would go back to Amatha's place and sleep it off. Anything that could be considered work at this point could go by the name poison as well. She stepped through the creases in space-time to arrive at her cousin's house immediately.

Xuza Uriel: "Angel of Death"
Back in it! The ol' training field! Ahh, it felt so good to breathe that air again. Xuza used to come here on the daily, but lately she found that the school wasn't putting her up to many tasks, that things were a bit slow, and that in general she was just unmotivated. Surprising, yes, especially from someone with a fierce vendetta. Oh well. Can't expect to stay the same forever.
Those she invited would find her holding a cutlass on the far wall, looking quite nostalgic. The whole place was arranged colosseum-style, with one unbroken circular wall on which practically any weapon could be found; all of which were dulled so as to avoid fatalities during training. The floor was divided by metal lines. On closer inspection it could be seen that there were large metal slabs there. At the push of a button they could be lifted up to make walls; no sense in having your session bother anyone else's.
"Oh hey!" Chirped the winged one as she waved the others over.

Orion arrived looking very unkempt. He was wearing the same clothes as he had the day before, though they were dusty and wrinkled currently. Tangled in his blue hair were various twigs and leaves. Apparently he thought it would be a great idea to sleep up in a tree last night. It wasn't the most comfortable experience, but with his only other option being the ground, a tree sounded like heaven. Still, Orion didn't sleep very well. His reply to Xuza's greeting began with a yawn and a lift of the hand that was supposed to resemble a lazy wave. Instead, it looked something more like he was swatting a fly. "I'm not late, am I?"
His drowsy demeanor faded slightly when he noticed the wall of weapons. Orion walked over to inspect what he thought was a literal armory, but was filled with a mix of both relief and disappointment when he realized that they were non-lethal. Wooden swords didn't have the same feel to them as a metal blade. Orion brushed that thought off with another yawn as he reached for an average sized training katana. He wasn't looking to hurt anyone today.
The bright blue orbs he called eyes scanned the area and eventually settled on the ground. "So, what is this place? I know that it's for training, but why are there all these different lines on the ground and a bunch of training weapons? Wouldn't it be more effective to learn using the real deal?" Similar to yesterday, his curiosity had already started rising. However, this was different. Rather than being excited at what he saw, he seemed more focused and calm. Orion, back in the dimension he called home, was known to have a calmer air about him whenever there was a blade of some sort in his hands. He felt more powerful with a weapon than without, but he also knew the risks, and that was what made him calm. He had to be focused. If his concentration slips, he could seriously injure himself or someone else. ▬▬இ▬▬இ▬▬╧xxxx╧▬▬இ▬▬இ▬▬

Such an interesting morning Chae had had, she had helped an elderly carry their groceries back to their apartment and had time to put on some make up not that she needed it, but it was just nice to be able to have a nice morning where she could spend some time doing what she wanted. She had tied her hair, placing a low pony tail over her shoulder. She arrived noticing that she was the last one their but she could feel a difference in Orion, not through physical means, her soul perception allowed her to feel the emotions of others and pick out irregularities, he felt calm, different to how she remembered him yesterday, or was it someone else she was picking up on in there? she shook the through from her head.
She approached the duo, she heard what he had said. "Its a training field, though I understand what you mean about using the real deal, but most of the time, its first years using the grounds unless someone supervises them, well from what I've seen anyway." she said sternly. She quickly looked over Xuza and Orion and frowned. She swiftly walked to Orion and began pulling out the twigs from his hair. "If you didn't have somewhere to stay you should have said!" she said in a scolding manner. She then looked back at Xuza and smiled. "Did you get enough rest?" she asked politely, reminiscing on what her own mother would have done.
She noticed the weapons lastly, her mind swiftly moving into tactician mode. "I don't fight with a weapon" she said softly. "I've never had a partner in these four years so I've just fought alone on my missions" she said, her voice sweet.
"Aww... Poor---" And then silence. A finger floundering for attention as Chae laid into poor Orion. Wasn't it enough to sleep in those conditions? All she could do while Chae, stern as can be, laid down some serious mom vibes was sigh. When she was done, though, instead of talking about weapons right away, Xuza turned her head and in so doing warped just her mouth near the other meister's ear, whispering,
"Hey, take it easy on him. I, uh... Know what it's like to have to rough it for a few days." And then back to Orion. "You can stay with me if you want," she said with a smile.
"Really? Why not? You must have some impressive powers if you can do that. I wouldn't dream of going through school without a partner..." Her voice seemed to trail off just a little bit, as though there was something there for experienced diggers to find. She shifted through space with a hand and found a small panel on the wall.
"The lines?" She asked confirming if that was what Orion was interested in. "Training Field," She called.
"Good morning, Miss Uriel," answered a computerized voice from one of the speakers nearby. "What can I do for you today?"
"I need a private area for a match."
"Certainly. Shall I scan a suitable area?"
"No, that won't be necessary, thanks. I'll just take two sections, horizontal, sections T-22 and T-23."
"Right away, Miss Uriel."
"Thanks hun." The voice shut off with a fwip and soon the faint whirring of gears could be heard. From the lines-- "Look out, Orion!"--came four metal walls. They looked tough.
"See? This place is pretty much idiot-proof since the remodeling. Now people can train without worrying about their special abilities spilling over into other's fights." She turned and gave Chae a smile. "Right, Chae?"

Orion was in the middle of hefting the training sword he had chosen in his hand to determine its weight when he paused, looking slightly surprised. He didn't turn or fight as Chae began to clean his hair up a bit. Instead, a soft smiled played on his lips. "I didn't want to impose on anyone. A few nights out in fresh air won't do much harm. It's little more than a placeholder for now," came his reply, with subtle hints of resources that would accommodate him soon. Truth be told, regardless of how nice and friendly the other inhabitants of his home had been, they did tend to stockpile random things they found in the human realm. Orion thought that they suffered a severe case of kleptomania at one time.
They had always kept a stash of money from this world to the side for Orion ever since he joined their population, knowing that one day he would leave and return to this place. To put it simply: they hooked him up, big time. Whenever he first entered this dimension, he left with a small bag of clothes, his personal armory of choice, and about a dozen large duffel bags full if cash. There was someone waiting outside of the portal that had been contacted prior to his arrival and had been given instructions to take Orion's belongings and set him up nicely. The process would take a couple of days, but that was better than nothing.
Orion flashed an apologetic smile to Chae, then turned his body just barely out of the way of one of the metal barriers popping up from the ground. "If you don't fight with a weapon, are you absolutely sure that you can hold your own?" His voice carried a hefty tinge of worry behind his soft voice. He wasn't intending it to be rude. Orion had mastered the art of swordplay, and even with a wooden weapon was able to hold his own against his superiors. Knowing not of what Chae was capable of, he wanted to ensure that she was okay with his armed style of fighting being used in this training session, fully prepared to set down the sword should it be requested.
'Idiot proof, huh? that's all fine and well, but what about...' Orion's train of thought paused for a moment as he laid the wooden sword on the ground to shed off his vest and the white v-neck he was wearing. Beneath he was wearing a slightly baggy sleeveless shirt that matched the color of his hair. His arms, despite his thin frame, revealed the intense physical training that he had gone through over the last few years. Full muscle, toned enough that his skin looked like it was ready to split open at any moment. Tucked into his waist band behind his back was a combat knife. Similar to the training sword, Orion unsheathed the knife and placed it on the ground. His left arm raised up and delivered a light knocking on the metal wall behind him.
"Sorry, I believe you, but I need to test these walls out first," he stated plainly as his eyes began to change from their normal light blue to a pale white, glowing with an eerie light from somewhere within him. The feel that his presence gave off shifted slightly, from calm and nearly unnoticeable to something similar to a light pressure if you were standing as close to him as Chae had been. To Xuza, who was a little further away, his presence didn't change at all. Without warning, Orion whipped his body around with tremendous speed and delivered a strong punch to the metallic barrier Xuza had arranged for. Not moving his fist from its spot, his eyes and his aura returned to normal, but his lips spread from a soft smile to a definitely pleased grin.
Taking a step back, there was a small dent where his punch had landed. Nothing to look twice at, but Orion also hadn't used his full strength there. He only wished to test the durability of the wall and its ability to absorb damage. "Perfect! I just needed to make sure that they wouldn't break if they received too much force." Orion bent down to reacquire his wooden armament, completely ignoring whatever questions or concerns Xuza or Chae might have about what just happened. They would seem unnecessary to him, as he didn't plan to use that specific ability at the moment. That was something meant for a serious confrontation, or at least to use after he knew what they were fully capable of handling.
You see, from his perspective, the buffs that using said ability granted during that training session might prove too much to handle for these two. Orion didn't know what he was in for, and neither did the two girls. At least, he didn't think they did. Last night, he had acquired a bit of information on the DWMA and the students who attended classes there. With these two being fourth year students, they were sure to be a force to be reckoned with. Even so, most of his information failed to give him what he needed to gauge a rough estimate of their strength as individual meisters. "Well then, shall we get started?" Orion stood in a relaxed stance to start, both arms and his sword at his side. He would allow one of the other two to make the first move, then decide his course of action. ▬▬இ▬▬இ▬▬╧xxxx╧▬▬இ▬▬இ▬▬

After picking out all the twigs and leaves from his hair, she received words from Xuza, from which she could tell were words of worry but they weren't warranted. Her gaze quickly met Xuza's, a sense of hostility poured from her eyes as she stared. "Do you know what I've been through?" she asked, of course not expecting an answer before raising her palm to her forehead turning away from them both of them. 'They don't know, calm down, its fine, its fine, its fine' she thought to herself, turning back around to see Orion punch the wall, feeling not only the sudden tension but a change in aura.
She quickly stepped back, her gaze narrowing as she looked at the two her, her hand raising to rest at her hip. "I'm sure I'm more than capable of holding my own" she said coldly, her mood clearly changed from the first comment. She wasn't mad but she was highly annoyed. 'She may have had it hard but does she know what i've experienced?' she thought to herself, a snarl forming on her lips before forming back into a smile. Chae's abilities were similar to her true personality.
She swiftly slid her foot behind her and aligned her center of gravity to better suit her needs. She wouldn't use her mastery unless she had to and would use her augmentation for her training, it'll be a bigger help for her in the long run. "Ready when you are." she stated, a clear crisp of distaste in her words.
"High pressure detected." Before Xuza could express whatever concerns she had she was cut off by the training field's resident AI. A short flash popped in red from the top of one of the walls.
"Welcome to Shibusen's Training Field," it would go on regardless of whether anyone was listening. Xuza shrugged, crossed her arms, and leaned back on one of the walls, waiting for the action to start. "Founded on student feedback, the new design of our automated training environment offers a durable, enclosed space to hone your skills. Our barriers are strong enough to allow the upper echelon of meisters and death scythes to have a bracing workout without being compromised, ensuring the privacy of neighboring sessions. They also adapt to the strength of individual students."
"That's right, boy!" Called Xuza chiming in. "The barrier was registered under me; I can't punch, so obviously you were able to dent the thing." She let the AI continue.
"Would you like to register new fighters?" Asked the automated voice. "Please say your name and continue training. Shibusen will adapt to current force readings. If you would not like to change profiles, please allow Miss Uriel to train."
"I'm not fighting," said Xuza with a annoyance under a thick coat of flippancy.
"Very well," answered the AI, "then please register or login."

Orion glanced up as the automated voice began speaking. If he had known that hitting the wall would have caused this sort of a feedback, he would have just taken Xuza's word for how strong the walls were. "If you can't punch, then you must be good with weapons," he responded, the end up his sentence trailed into an upward inflection, hinting that he meant it as a question rather than as a statement, but it ended up being the latter. "You're not fighting? Then what will you be doing?"
Orion glanced back at Chae. "I'm always ready," he said monotonously before lifting the wooden training sword into the air, then making a horizontal slashing motion in Chae's direction. However, halfway through the motion his eyes widened slightly. Orion had never stopped to ask a very important question: what are the limitations! "If we are limited to using non-lethal weapons, what are the rules on abilities?" If he hadn't thought about that just now, what would Chae have done? Would she have dodged his attack, or would she block? Or would the option end up being neither, and result in an injury that Orion wanted to avoid? ▬▬இ▬▬இ▬▬╧xxxx╧▬▬இ▬▬இ▬▬
After all the rules and limitations are set out, he'll be ready to start whenever you guys want! The ability he was going to use creates a sharp ripple through the fabric of space and is capable of piercing skin. Just so that you know what I meant about the unwanted injury part sweatdrop

Chae slightly lifted her front foot as Orion slashed at her, her foot then firmly planting itself back down, a surge of wind bursting from beneath her food propelling her back a little further than she had hoped. "I over did it again... tsk" she scoffed to herself, a sight of distaste still clear in her eyes as she readjusted her frame. She looked back at Xuza, eyes narrowed but not hesitant. "You do plan on joining us don't you?" she said, a soft smirk forming on the edge of her lips, her voice soft with a hint of sadism in it. This was Chae's vocal color at its finest and she would use her ability to manipulate sound how she saw fit.
Although she wasn't as good with this set of abilities she thought it would be good chance to get some training in on it and develop it further. She moved one hand to her hip as the other fell limp. "I can't 'move' around like the both of you can, but I don't mind you using the ability, and besides... If anyone gets hurt I'll tend to the wounds" she said politely before pouting slightly. Everyone always misjudged her appearance, of course they would, she looked soft and delicate but she was more than athletic and incredibly acrobatic with a fierce history in martial arts. "Please." she said softly, "Don't go easy on me." she bowed, never letting her gaze wander from both of them.
