When he is through with her, Kero realizes how angry she is, and so he sits next to her, and apologizes. Profusely.

Ai though is really kind of put off. And she doesn't actually know why. What Kero had done really wasn't that bad of a joke and normally it wouldn't have bothered her in the least, but it had just somehow hit raw nerve it seems. Finally she nuzzles him gently and tells him it's alright, just to get him to stop worrying about it.
She's feeling rather tired and although she doesn't feel sick, something is not quite right. And this troubles her even more than his silly joke. Yawning, she curls up in the sun and drifts off back to sleep, letting him to the hunting for the two of them, while she hopefully catches up on her sleep.

Hearing her stomach begin rumbling, Kero goes off and begins nabbing a variety of meats. Rabbit, Deer, and Fish all make their way into the meal he catches for her. Once he has caught everything, it is about three hours past sunrise, and the air is neither cold nor hot. He goes and nuzzles her after placing the last fish on a pile, trying to awaken her.
"Sira. Kechara Sira. It's time to get up. I got breakfast for both of us. You can pick whichever kind of food you want. Awaken, my beloved. Up and at 'em."

Hearing his voice, She sits up, slowly, yawning, finally ready to face the day... that is until she sees the mound of food he's brought.
"What the.... Kerrrroo!" she moans laughing. "How hungry do you think I am?"
There is far more food there than either one of them can easily eat and they are a bit too far from home to carry it to the smoke house. Laughing and shaking her head, she walks around the mound seeing what he's brought and settles on a couple of rabbits, which she begins to devour with a relish, leaving the rest for him.

Kero, of course, tears into the fish with much relish, and the thought of that gives him an idea. With a faraway look in his eyes, he sits up, concentrating, holding out his paw...and with a loud
POP
a jar of relish appears in it, which he swiftly opens and uses to liberally season his meal.
"Care for some, beloved sira? There's plenty to go around. I made this relish last week, so it should still be good to eat. Nice and salty, not too spicy."

Ai gives him a funny look, starts to reach for the jar, then immediately runs for the bushes on the side. When she returns, she's a bit paler than before, how white can look pale is your guess not mine, but she does't say anything to him about what happened. And when he offers the jar again, she vigorously shakes her head.
"I... I don't think so, dulcha." She replies softly curling up nearby, her breakfast half eaten and now untouched, looking confused and worried.

Kero immediately moves over to her, concern etched into every line of his face.
"S...Sira?! Whatever is the matter, my beloved?!"

Ai sighs ad shakes her head. "I... I don't know... I was fine until you handed me that jar... no offense, but it kind of set my stomach off."

Kero laughs, sending the jar away.
"Okay. Okay. There we go. No more evil jar of nasty relish. Here, come on, let's get you something to drink."

They make their way down to the river, Ai following along behind Kero, but she doesn't seem as peppy as she usually does. Her tummy is still rumbly and she's not used to the sensation, except for when she's been drinking.

Helping her drink, Kero nuzzles her gently, then asks the question that is bothering him.
"Sira...are you okay? What...What exactly is wrong with you?"

She shakes her head slowly. "I... I don't know... just don't feel right. Kind of off kilter... which is weird, I never get sick."

She gives him a weak grin and shakes her head. "I think perhaps a couple of good nights sleep in my own bed might help. I'm getting spoiled, royally, living like we do. As for what is wrong... maybe it was something I ate... but you're fine and we ate the same things... oh I don't kinow... I don't get sick.... but I do react to some bacterias... and who knows... maybe my body is arguing with all it's just gone through.... But I'll tell you what. If it keeps up, I'll go see her in a few days... and if it gets worse... I"ll see her immediately."
Standing up, she goes to nuzzle him. "But don't be worried, ok? I don't think it's anything serious. I've the constitution of a horse... a dozen horses. Look how quickly I bounced back from everything that has happened over the last month or so. Why I was as fit as a fiddle before I came out here with you." She gives him a ghost of her normal cocky grin. "Had I been mortal, I'd have been dead by now... as it is, I have a bit of a tummy ache and feel a little drained... nothing major."

Kero cocks his head, kind of curiopus as to what she is talking about.
"What do you mean, you would have been dead?"
